A monophasic sample of Ag2MnSn3S8 has been prepared by heating stoichiometric amounts of the constituent metals and sulfur in evacuated silica tubes at 670°C. Structural analysis of Ag2MnSn3S8 using Rietveld refinement of powder X-ray diffraction data shows that it crystallizes in the space group with a=10.6984(2) Å. Magnetization measurements in the temperature range 5-300 K indicate paramagnetic behavior with a μeff of 5.80 μB, consistent with the divalent nature of manganese. Electrochemical studies show a coulombic capacity of ∼50 Ah kg−1 for the cell constructed with Ag2MnSn3S8 as the positive electrode. 相似文献

A straight forward room-temperature synthesis of V(III) containing complex fluoride K3VF6, using KF and vanadium(III) acetylacetonate is reported. The pale green colored powder was characterized by chemical analysis, powder X-ray diffraction; diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, scanning electron microscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility measurements and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The powder X-ray diffraction pattern was fitted in P21/n space group (monoclinic) with a = 12.106 (1) Å, b = 17.685 (0) Å, c = 11.802 (0) Å, β = 92.23° (1). Differential scanning calorimetry showed phase transitions, occurring at 158 °C and 190 °C. In the FT-IR spectrum, characteristic band for the VF63− group was observed at 508 cm−1. The bands observed in the 335-361 cm−1 region and at 504 cm−1 in the room temperature Raman spectrum of K3VF6 corresponded to the F2g and A1g modes, respectively. The ratio of the frequencies (F2g/A1g) observed in the diffuse reflectance spectrum was fitted on the Tanabe-Sugano diagram to determine the Racah parameter B value of 712 cm−1. Magnetic ordering was not observed down to the lowest measured temperature of 5 K. 相似文献

Double perovskites of the type LaBaNi1?xCoxTaO6 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) have been synthesized by solid state method. The compounds crystallize in the tetragonal space group, I4/m. Rietveld refinement has been carried out to determine the phase purity and to study the cation ordering. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirms Co(II) in all compositions. The end members in LaBaNi1?xCoxTaO6 show high dielectric constant values. Antiferromagnetic ordering has been observed for all the compositions and the ordering temperature in LaBaNi1?xCoxTaO6 gradually decreases with increase in Co doping, which has been attributed to the decrease in covalence of Co/Ni?O bonds. 相似文献

low of an incompressible viscous fluid past a porous sphere has been discussed. The flow has been divided in three regions. The Region-I is the region inside the porous sphere in which the flow is governed by Brinkman equation with the effective viscosity different from that of the clear fluid. In Regions II and III clear fluid flows and Stokes and Oseen solutions are respectively valid. In all the three regions Stokes stream function is expressed in powers of Reynolds number. Stream function of Region II is matched with that of Region I at the surface of the sphere by the conditions suggested by Ochao-Tapia and Whitaker and it is matched with that of Oseen’s solutions far away from the sphere. We describe the synthesis of two new quadruple perovskites, Sr(2)La(2)CuTi(3)O(12) (I) and Ca(2)La(2)CuTi(3)O(12) (II), by solid-state metathesis reaction between K(2)La(2)Ti(3)O(10) and A(2)CuO(2)Cl(2) (A = Sr, Ca). I is formed at 920 degrees C/12 h, and II, at 750 degrees C/24 h. Both the oxides crystallize in a tetragonal (P4/mmm) quadruple perovskite structure (a = 3.9098(2) and c = 15.794(1) A for I; a = 3.8729(5) and c = 15.689(2) A for II). We have determined the structures of I and II by Rietveld refinement of powder XRD data. The structure consists of perovskite-like octahedral CuO(4/2)O(2/2) sheets alternating with triple octahedral Ti(3)O(18/2) sheets along the c-direction. The refinement shows La/A disorder but no Cu/Ti disorder in the structure. The new cuprates show low magnetization (0.0065 micro(B) for I and 0.0033 micro(B) for II) suggesting that the Cu(II) spins are in an antiferromagnetically ordered state. Both I and II transform at high temperatures to 3D perovskites where La/Sr and Cu/Ti are disordered, suggesting that I and II are metastable phases having been formed in the low-temperature metathesis reaction. Interestingly, the reaction between K(2)La(2)Ti(3)O(10) and Ca(2)CuO(2)Cl(2) follows a different route at 650 degrees C, K(2)La(2)Ti(3)O(10) + Ca(2)CuO(2)Cl(2) --> CaLa(2)Ti(3)O(10) + CaCuO(2) + 2KCl, revealing multiple reaction pathways for metathesis reactions. 相似文献

The effects of the local environment on surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra utilizing gold, silver, and gold/silver striped nanorod array substrates was investigated. The arrays were fabricated using an electrochemical metal deposition into an anodic aluminum oxide template. The analyte chosen for this study was p-nitroso-N,N-dimethylaniline (p-NDMA), which has an electronic structure that is highly sensitive to its surrounding environment. Changes in the peak positions and peak ratios were used to probe the influence of water and the striping pattern on the SERS signal of p-NDMA. We present the results of the fabrication and characterization of the nanorod array substrates, as well as SERS spectra of p-NDMA in both polar and nonpolar environments and SERS spectra on a variety of striped nanorod arrays. The Raman data suggests that the p-NDMA molecule exists in a more polarized state when bound to the gold as compared to the silver rods. We have attempted to use these differences to determine whether the SERS signal predominantly arises from the tips of the rods or from the interior of the array. 相似文献

Reduction of dinitrogen to ammonia under ambient conditions is a long-standing challenge. The few metal-based catalysts proposed have conspicuous disadvantages such as high cost, high energy consumption, and being hazardous to the environment. Single-atom catalysis has emerged as a new frontier in heterogeneous catalysis and metal atoms atomically dispersed on supports receive more and more attention owing to rapid advances in synthetic methodologies and computational modeling. Herein, we propose metal atoms embedded in divacant graphene as a catalyst for N2 fixation based on density functional calculations. We systematically investigate the potential of using transition metal like Cr, Mn, Fe, Mo and Ru as catalysts and our study reveals that Cr embedded in graphene exhibit good catalytic activity for N2 fixation. The synergy between the metal atoms and graphene surface provides a stable support to the metal center that has a high spin density to promote adsorption of N2 and activation of its N≡N triple bond. Our study deciphers the mechanism of conversion of N2 to ammonia following two possible reaction pathways, distal and enzymatic routes, via sequential protonation and reduction of activated N2. The study provides a rational framework for conversion of dinitrogen to ammonia using single atom catalyst. 相似文献
