In this timely review, we summarize recent work on ultra-fast and sensitive bioassays based on microwave heating, and provide our current interpretation of the role of the combined use of microwave energy and plasmonic nanostructures for applications in rapid clinical and bioagent diagnostics. The incorporation of microwave heating into plasmonic nanostructure-based bioassays brings new advancements to diagnostic tests. A temperature gradient, created by the selective heating of water in the presence of plasmonic nanostructures, results in an increased mass transfer of target biomolecules towards the biorecognition partners placed on the plasmonic nanostructures, enabling diagnostic tests to be completed in less than a minute, and in some cases only a few seconds, by further microwave heating. The diagnostic tests can also be run in complex biological samples, such as human serum and whole blood.  相似文献

This study describes the In2S3 semiconductor thin film coating on glass substrate by sol–gel method. The In2S3 thin film samples were prepared and examined by the X-ray diffraction (XRD), the UV–visible optical absorption and transmission study, and the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) image analyses. The XRD analysis results show that the In2S3 semiconductor thin films prepared by sol–gel method is formed at T~360–520 °C temperature interval. Band gap energy and optical absorption spectrum analysis of the In2S3 thin films reveal that Eg~2.51 eV for the In2S3 thin films. According to the EDX result the film was In-rich with the In/S = 1.42 ratio. The thickness of prepared In2S3 layer is about 400 nm.  相似文献

Abstract

Hexa(4-bromo-2-formyl-phenoxy)cyclotriphosphazene (2) and hexa(4-chloro-2- formyl-phenoxy)cyclotriphosphazene (3) were obtained from the reactions of hexachloro- cyclotriphosphazene (1) with 5-bromosalicylaldehyde and 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde in the presence of (C2H5)3N and K2CO3 at room temperature, respectively. The new two organocyclotriphosphazenes bearing formyl groups were reacted with 4-cyano aniline, 2-phenyl aniline, 4-aceto aniline, 5-chloro-2-hydroxy aniline, 2-hydroxy aniline, 4-hydroxy aniline, 2-(4-morpholino)ethyl amine, 4-carboxy aniline, 4-carbomoyl aniline, 2-mercapto aniline, and 5-amino isoquonoline to prepare cyclotriphosphazene derivatives containing a Schiff base at room temperature. However, fully phenoxy-substituted cyclotriphosphazenes containing a Schiff base were isolated from the reactions of the compound 2 and 3 with 5-chloro-2-hydroxy aniline, 2-hydroxy aniline, 4-hydroxy aniline, and 2-(4-morpholino)ethyl amine. The structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR (1H, 13C, 31P) spectroscopy. According to the results of the analysis, all synthesized compounds were found to be fully substituted organocyclotriphosphazenes, such as hexa[4-bromo-2-(5-chloro-2-hydroxy-pheyliminomethyl)phenoxy]cyclotriphosphaze (2a). All cyclotriphosphazene derivatives synthesized gave fluorescence emission peaks in range between 300 nm and 410 nm.  相似文献

In this study, methylene blue (MB) imprinted microbeads were synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Differential pulse voltammetric responses of carbon paste electrodes modified with MB imprinted polymer were used to evaluate the adsorption and selectivity features of the polymer. For selectivity studies two basic dyestuffs (thionine blue and toluidine blue) which have similar structure to MB were chosen. Comparison of the voltammetric responses obtained with pure carbon paste and carbon paste modified with either imprinted or nonimprinted polymer electrodes revealed that MB imprinted polymer presented a higher selectivity to the template molecule MB in contrast to structurally similar molecules, thionine blue and toluidine blue.  相似文献

We describe an exciting opportunity for affinity biosensing using a ratiometric approach to the angular-dependent light scattering from bioactivated and subsequently aggregated noble metal colloids. This new model sensing platform utilizes the changes in particle scattering from very small colloids, which scatter light according to traditional Rayleigh theory, as compared to the changes in scattering observed by much larger colloidal aggregates, formed due to a bioaffinity reaction. These larger aggregates no longer scatter incident light in a Cos(2) theta dependence, as is the case for Rayleigh scattering, but instead scatter light in an increased forward direction as compared to the incident geometry. By subsequently taking the ratio of the scattered intensity at two angles, namely 90 degrees and 140 degrees , relative to the incident light, we can follow the association of biotinylated bovine serum albumin-coated 20 nm gold colloids, cross-linked by additions of streptavidin. This new model system can be potentially applied to many other nanoparticle assays and has many advantages over traditional fluorescence sensing and indeed light-scattering approaches. For example, a single nanoparticle can have the equivalent scattered intensity as 10(5) fluorescing fluorescein molecules substantially increasing detection; the angular distribution of scattered light from noble metal colloids is substantially easier to predict as compared to fluorescence; the scattered light is not quenched by biospecies; the ratiometric measurements described here are not dependent on colloid concentration as are other scattering techniques; and finally, the noble metal colloids are not prone to photodestruction, as is the case with organic fluorophores.  相似文献

Two methods have been considered for the deposition of silver nanorods onto conventional glass substrates. In the first method, silver nanorods were deposited onto 3-(aminopropyl)triethoxysilane-coated glass substrates simply by immersing the substrates into the silver nanorod solution. In the second method, spherical silver seeds that were chemically attached to the surface were subsequently converted and grown into silver nanorods in the presence of a cationic surfactant and silver ions. The size of the silver nanorods was controlled by sequential immersion of silver seed-coated glass substrates into a growth solution and by the duration of immersion, ranging from tens of nanometers to a few micrometers. Atomic force microscopy and optical density measurements were used to characterize the silver nanorods deposited onto the surface of the glass substrates. The application of these new surfaces is for metal-enhanced fluorescence (MEF), whereby the close proximity of silver nanostructures can alter the radiative decay rate of fluorophores, producing enhanced signal intensities and an increased fluorophore photostability. In this paper, it is indeed shown that irregularly shaped silver nanorod-coated surfaces are much better MEF surfaces as compared to traditional silver island or colloid films. Subsequently, these new silver nanorod preparation procedures are likely to find a common place in MEF, as they are a quicker and much cheaper alternative as compared to surfaces fabricated by traditional nanolithographic techniques.  相似文献

We presented the synthesis of a new Schiff base and its complexes properties with some transition metal ions in this study. (1-amino-2-thioxo-4-p-tolyl-1,2-dihydropyrimidin-5-yl)(p-tolyl)methanone was synthesized as the starting material, and (1-((2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)methyleneamino)-2-thioxo-4-p-tolyl-1,2-dihydropyrimidin-5-yl)(p-tolyl)methanone (Hnafmmp) (1) and its Ni(II) (2), Pd(II) (3), Pt(II) (4), Cu(II) (5), Co(II) (6) complexes were prepared using above-mentioned starting material. The structures of these new compounds (ligand and its complexes) were characterized with UV–Vis, FTIR, LC–MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurement, X-ray powder diffraction method, and thermal analyses techniques. The 1H NMR chemical shifts of all complexes were calculated by using the gauge-invariant atomic orbital HF (3.21G) method in DMSO phases. All measured results were compared with the experimental data. The ligand and its complexes were also evaluated as antimicrobial agents against representative strains bacteria. Furthermore, we studied the catalytic activity of these compounds in Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling reaction in aqueous media.  相似文献

Novel solvent-impregnated resins (SIRs) were prepared by treatment of styrene–divinylbenzene copolymer (LPS-500) with mixtures of the promising polydentante extractant (2-diphenylphosphoryl)-4-ethylphenoxy)methyl)diphenylphosphine oxide (L) and an ionic liquid [C4mim]+[Tf2N]for the extraction chromatography recovery of Nd(III) from nitric acid solutions. It was shown that introduction of the ionic liquid into the SIR composition results in considerable enhancement of the Nd(III) recovery efficiency compared with resin impregnated only by L in slightly acidic media. The influence of the L: ionic liquid molar ratio in the SIRs composition, their percentages, concentration of metal and HNO3 in the eluent, and acid type on the value of synergistic effect and adsorption efficiency of Nd(III) recovery was studied. The SIR containing 40% of mixture of L and [C4mim]+[Tf2N] with molar ratio 2:1 turned out to be the most efficient. The selectivity of Nd(III) separation from light and heavy rare-earth elements was studied and the optimal conditions of Nd(III) adsorption recovery and stripping by this SIR were chosen. It was found that in recovery efficiency of Nd(III) developed SIR exceeded the SIR containing Cyanex 923 (a mixture of monodentate trialkylphosphine oxides) and [C4mim]+[Tf2N].  相似文献

The TiO2 nanoparticles are electrospun with polyacrylonitrile (PAN) polymer solution onto the discharged battery coal (DBC) electrode and the results are evaluated as a supercapacitor. The morphology and chemical composition of the synthesized TiO2 nanoparticles and PAN+TiO2 nanocomposite fibers were characterized by Scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetry and FTIR analysis. Supercapacitor measurements and electrochemical characterizations of the electrodes examined by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Electrochemical measurements showed that the best current value was obtained from PAN and TiO2 coated DBC. The performances of both PAN and PAN+TiO2 coated DBC electrodes were investigated as supercapacitors. PAN+TiO2/DBC showed the best specific capacitance value of 156.00 F g−1 and PAN/DBC showed 74.93 F g−1. In addition, PAN+TiO2/DBC exhibited reliable stability performance over 2000.00 cycles.  相似文献
