In a new concept of fully synthetic vaccines, the role of T‐helper cells is emphasized. Here, a synthetic antitumor vaccine consisting of a diglycosylated tumor‐associated MUC1 glycopeptide as the B‐cell epitope was covalently cross‐linked with three different T‐helper‐cell epitopes via squaric acid ligation of two linear (glyco)peptides. In mice this four‐component vaccine administered without external immune‐stimulating promoters elicit titers of MUC1‐specific antibodies that were about eight times higher than those induced by a vaccine containing only one T‐helper‐cell epitope. The promising results indicate that multiple activation of different T‐helper cells is useful for applications in which increased immunogenicity is required. In personalized medicine, in particular, this flexible construction of a vaccine can serve as a role model, for example, when T‐helper‐cell epitopes are needed that match human leukocyte antigens (HLA) in different patients.  相似文献

Single crystals of Ba, Sr M-type hexagonal ferrites were prepared by ion exchange in Ba, Sr containing molten salts from single crystals of β″ -ferrites. A fast diffusion of the divalent Ba2+, Sr2+ is observed leading to a non-stoichiometric M-type ferrite with chemical formula: Ba1+xFe10.5Co0.25O17+x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.25). x depending on the exchange reaction time. Saturation magnetization ranges from 19 to 64 emu/g depending on exchange conditions. The Curie temperature is (470 ± 5)°C. An easy axis direction (Ms c) has been determined in all cases. The observed anisotropy is considerably lower than that of M ferrite. The calculated anisotropy constants are, in 106 erg/cm3, K1 = 0.8 and K2 = 1.0 at room temperature.  相似文献

The cross sections for the reactions: (a) K+p → K+pπ+π?π+ and (b) K+p → K+π+π+π?n have been determined at 8.2 and 16 GeV/c with the following results:at 8.2 GeV/c: (a) 0.99 ± 0.07 mb, (b) 0.41 ± 0.04 mb;at 16 GeV/c: (a) 0.72 ± 0.05 mb, (b) 0.28 ± 0.05 mb.Using the available data at other energies, the cross-section dependence of these reactions on the incident momentum is discussed.  相似文献

Characterization and quantification of root water uptake processes play a key role in understanding and managing the effects of global climate change on agricultural production and ecosystem dynamics. Part of this understanding is related to the flow of water towards plant roots in soils. In this study we demonstrate for the first time, to our knowledge, that fluid flow in the voids of the pore space of a model soil system (natural sand) can be detected and mapped to an NMR image for mean flows as low as 0.06 mm/s even under the influence of internal magnetic field gradients. To accomplish this we combined multi-slice imaging with a 13-interval pulse sequence to the NMR pulse sequence 13-interval stimulated echo multi-slice imaging (13-interval STEMSI). The result is a largely reduced influence of the internal magnetic field gradients, leading to an improved signal-to-noise ratio which in turn enables one to acquire velocity maps where conventional stimulated echo methods fail.  相似文献

Abstract

Single and multiple quantum wells (QWs) of CdTe/Cd1?xZnxTe, of different composition (x), grown on a Cd1?xZnxTe (001) substrate are studied by Raman spectroscopy at low temperature, under resonance conditions. Two of the three phonon deformation potentials (PDPs) of the LO phonon of CdTe are calculated using the observed phonon frequency shifts due to a lattice-misfit bisotropic strain.  相似文献

We report the evidence for a narrow charged peak (5.5 s.d.), which we suggest calling the I, in the 6-prong-V0 topology of pp interactions at 12 GeV/c.
