Opto-mechanic oscillatory system based on birefringent crystal

The paper presents a proposal on a new concept of opto-mechanic oscillatory system applying an optic birefringent crystal and a laser. Additionally to the crystal and the laser, the system uses an optic modulator maintaining mechanic torsion oscillations in the system. The principle of the system operation is described using traditional theory of optic waves in crystals and also applying the corpuscular approach based on the concept of energy and momentum of photons. We prove that operation of the system is most efficient in case of optic crystals demonstrating strong birefringence.     

A Simple Approach to Vicinal Pyrrolylphosphane Aldehydes

A simple approach to vicinal pyrrolylphosphane aldehydes was developed. The reaction of Alder's dimer 1 with a set of pyrrolylphosphane derivatives—its oxides, sulfides, and selenides—was studied in detail. While Alder's dimer reacted with phosphane oxides and sulfides at the O and S atoms, phosphane selenides 4a–c were found to be suitable for the introduction of the formyl group into the pyrrole ring. The reaction of highly electrophilic Alder's dimer with pyrrolylphosphane selenides proceeded predominantly at the pyrrolyl nuclei, affording the corresponding aldehydes. The phosphoroselenoyl groups of aldehydes 11 were reduced either with Raney Ni or hexamethylphosphorustriamide under mild conditions, affording pyrrolylphosphane aldehydes 12 .     

Regioselective Addition of Dithiophosphinic Acids to Vinyl Sulfides and Selenides: An Efficient Route Toward Functional Dithiophosphinates

Earlier unknown S‐[1‐(organosulfanyl)ethyl]‐ and S‐[1‐(organoselenyl)ethyl] dithiophosphinates were synthesized in 85–97% yields by regioselective addition of dithiophosphinic acids to diverse vinyl sulfides and selenides under mild conditions (ambient temperature, Et₂O, 3 h).
