Nanocrystalline Mg–Nb and Mg–Nb–Al–Zn alloy films were deposited by dc magnetron sputtering on glass and quartz substrates in a wide range of niobium concentrations from 6 to 80 at.%. Structural, electrochemical and corrosion properties of the films were studied by X-ray diffraction, dc voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance. Development of body-centred cubic Nb structure in the Mg–Nb alloy matrix yielded the effects of lattice contraction, grain refining and electrochemical passivity. The measurements showed high corrosion resistance of the films in alkaline solutions when niobium content was one third or more. An increased corrosion resistance was achieved by introducing minor amounts of Al (ca. 2 at.%). In particular, such Al effect was pronounced at lower Nb concentrations (20 to 30 at.%). Semiconductor properties of spontaneously formed oxide on Mg–Nb alloy were studied by Mott–Schottky plots, which indicated highly doped n-type oxide structures on Mg–Nb surface. The paper fills some gap in understanding of niobium–magnesium systems, which show potential for applications in hydrogen storage, switchable mirrors and corrosion protection. 相似文献

By the replacement of an acetate with propionate by means of organic synthesis, a range of zearalenone analogues were prepared that feature an allylic methyl group. For the synthesis of the aliphatic region of the analogues, we used an asymmetric alkylation to yield pentenol derivatives 16 and ent‐ 16 . By means of hydroboration the corresponding aldehydes were secured. These were coupled with 2‐pentynol derivate 23 by means of a Carreira acetylide addition. Further routine steps led to the sulfones 29 and 45 , respectively. After merging them with 2‐bromobenzaldehyde 9 in a Julia–Kocienski reaction, metalation, carboxylation, and protecting‐group manipulations gave the seco acids 35 and 49 . By means of lactonization under Mitsunobu (alcohol activation) or Trost–Kita conditions (carboxyl activation), all four possible macrocyclic ketone stereoisomers were accessible. In all, considering various protecting‐group decorations, 16 analogues were obtained and tested for cytotoxicity (L929 mouse fibroblast cell line). Whereas most of the analogues were less active than zearalenone (IC50=9.4 μM ), the resorcinol derivatives were comparable, with one stereoisomer ( 40 b ) being slightly more active (IC50=6.6 μM ). These results were also reflected in the binding assays to Hsp90 in which 40 b showed a dissociation constant (Kd) value of 130 nM . 相似文献

We describe a new method for the visualization of the activity of red-ox proteins on a gold interface. Glucose oxidase was selected as a model system. Surfaces were modified by adhesion of glucose oxidase on (a) electrochemically cleaned gold; (b) gold films modified with gold nanoparticles, (c) a gold surface modified with self-assembled monolayer, and (d) covalent immobilization of protein on the gold surface modified with a self-assembled monolayer. The simple optical method for the visualization of enzyme on the surfaces is based on the enzymatic formation of polypyrrole. The activity of the enzyme was quantified via enzymatic formation of polypyrrole, which was detected and investigated by quartz microbalance and amperometric techniques. The experimental data suggest that the enzymatic formation of the polymer may serve as a method to indicate the adhesion of active redox enzyme on such surfaces. Figure

A new method involving matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) extraction and UPLC in conjunction with photodiode array detection was developed for the rapid and simple determination of Sudan dyes in chili powder. Separation of Sudan I, Sudan II, Sudan III, and Sudan IV was achieved within 2 min on the 1.7 μm Acquity UPLC BEH C18 column by using gradient elution with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile–water at a flow rate of 0.5 mL min?1. Optimization of MSPD extraction parameters, such as type of solid sorbent and elution solvent were carried out. Optimal conditions selected for MSPD extraction were 0.25 g of sample, 0.5 g of silica gel as solid sorbent, and 7 mL of acetonitrile–methanol (9:1, v/v) as eluting solvent. Limits of detection ranged between 0.25 and 0.30 mg kg?1 depending on the dye involved. All analytes provided average recoveries from spiked (at 1, 1.5, and 2 mg kg?1) chili powder samples ranging from 81 to 106%. The method was applied to the analysis of chili powder samples obtained from different countries. 相似文献

Hydration of cement is a complex thermodynamic system where a number of heterogeneous compounds interact with each other to form cement hydrates. Superabsorbent polymers (SAP) can be added to cement systems with many different reasons, so it is relevant that the basic knowledge of this new compound on the development of hydration is well understood. This paper reports basic research on thermal analysis of cement pastes with SAP—a suspension-polymerized poly acrylic acid–acrylamide copolymer. Several parameters were analysed: the concentration of SAP, the effect of particle size distribution and their influence on the hydration process with focus on ordinary Portland cement. The methodology included thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. Combined water method was employed at different thermodynamic conditions, so the energy of activation in the different systems can be accessed. The introduction of SAP in cement-based materials significantly affects the chemical balance of ordinary Portland cement. The effect is not only in terms of the amount of hydrates, but also the type of hydrates being generated, thermodynamically favourable to precipitation of calcium hydroxide. Instead of usual rationale for chromatographic fingerprint based sample identification which relies upon visual inspection or principal component analysis of raw or aligned chromatograms novel nonparametric statistical measure of fingerprint set homogeneity is proposed. Randomization test is applied for significance analysis of fingerprint set homogeneity while average maximum crosscorrelation is used as a merit function. Chromatogram sets generated by random selection from standard and unknown sample chromatogram collections are compared with respect to merit function values with set of chromatograms that represents standard and/or unknown sample. In that instance fingerprint homogeneity significance is represented by the fraction of random chromatogram sets that have higher merit values than the standard and/or unknown sample sets. A set of peptide maps corresponding to different haemoglobin variants has been selected for evaluation of proposed test. This approach is compared to chromatogram alignment based on correlation optimized warping coupled with principal component or cluster analysis. Proposed method is simple i.e. straightforward sample identification procedure which reliability has been evaluated here. Impact of this approach on peptide mapping validation and system suitability analysis is discussed. 相似文献

The art of light engineering unveils a world of possibilities through the meticulous manipulation of photonic properties such as intensity, phase, and polarization. Precision control over these properties finds application in a variety of fields spanning communications, light–matter interactions, laser direct writing, and imaging. Terahertz (THz) range, nestled between microwaves and infrared light, stands out for its remarkable ability to propagate with minimal losses in numerous dielectric materials and compounds, making THz imaging a powerful tool for noninvasive control and inspection. In this study, a rational framework for the design and optimal assembly of nonparaxial THz imaging systems is established. The research is centered on lensless photonic systems composed solely of high-resistivity silicon-based nonparaxial elements such as the Fresnel zone plate, the Fibonacci lens, the Bessel axicon, and the Airy zone plate, all fabricated using laser ablation technology. Through a comprehensive examination through illumination engineering and scattered light collection from raster-scanned samples in a single-pixel detector scheme, the imaging systems are evaluated via diverse metrics including contrast, resolution, depth of field, and focus. These findings chart an exciting course toward the development of compact and user-friendly THz imaging systems where sensors and optical elements seamlessly integrate into a single chip. 相似文献
