A novel Schiff base, 3-(((1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)imino)methyl)-4H-chromen-4-one (L) was synthesized and used as ligand for the synthesis of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Pd(II) complexes. The structural characterization of the ligand and its metal complexes was determined by using various physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The IR data show that the Schiff base ligand acts as a bidentate donor coordinating through the oxygen atom of the chromone and nitrogen atom of the imine group. Based on all spectral data, tetrahedral geometry has been proposed for all the metal complexes except Cu(II) and Pd(II) complexes. However, square-planar geometry has been proposed for Cu(II) and Pd(II) complexes. DNA binding interaction of the ligand and its metal complexes was investigated by using UV–visible absorption, fluorescence and molecular docking studies. The binding constants were in the order of 104 M?1 suggesting good binding affinity towards CT-DNA. The DNA cleavage activity of the synthesized compounds was investigated by using agarose gel electrophoresis. In vitro antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds were screened against two gram-positive bacteria (Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureu) and two gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris) and one fungi strain Candida albicans using disc diffusion method. Antioxidant activity was carried out by DPPH radical scavenging method. In vitro anti-proliferative activity of the ligand and its metal complexes was also carried on the HEK-293, HeLa, IMR-32 and MCF-7 cancer cell lines using MTT assay. 相似文献

A robust and sensitive solid-phase extraction followed by liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometric (LC-ESI-MS) method for determination of antibiotics viz., fluoroquinolones, sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim and cephalosporines in surface waters was developed. The sample recoveries on Oasis HLB cartridges were found to be >80%. Identification was carried out by LC-ESI-MS/MS. The positive ion ESI mass spectra containing the peaks of quasimolecular ions [M+H](+) allowed the determination of molecular masses whereas the fragment ions obtained by MS/MS of [M+H](+) ions permitted the structural assignment. Quantification was carried out by selective ion monitoring (SIM) using the quasimolecular ions [M+H](+) of the parent compounds. The detection and quantification limits were found to be in the range of 0.6-8.1 and 2.0-24.0 microg/L. The surface waters of different lakes and tanks of Hyderabad, India were found to contain a few antibiotics. 相似文献

A mass spectral study of a series of new Boc-C-linked carbo-beta(3)-peptides prepared from C-linked carbo-beta(3)-amino acids (Caa) was carried out using liquid secondary ion mass spectrometry (LSIMS), electrospray ionization (ESI) and tandem mass spectrometry. Using the nomenclature of Roepstorff and Fohlman, the positive ion high- and low energy collision-induced dissociation (CID) of [M + H - Boc + H](+) ions of the peptides produce both N- and C-terminus ions, y(n) (+) and b(n) (+) ions, with high abundance and other ions of low abundance. Further, characteristic fragment ions of carbohydrate moiety are observed. In contrast to the CID of protonated peptide acids, the CID of [M - H](-) ions of the beta(3)-peptide acids do not give b(n)(-) ions and show abundant z(n)(-) and c(n) (-) ions which are insignificant in the former. Two pairs of positionally isomeric Boc-carbo-beta(3)-dipeptides were differentiated by the CID of [M + H](+) ions in LSIMS and ESIMS. The fragment ion [M + H - C(CH(3))(3) + H](+) formed from [M + H](+) by the loss of 2-methylprop-2-ene is relatively more abundant in the dipeptide Boc-NH-beta-hGly-Caa(S)-OCH(3) (14) containing the sugar moiety at the C-terminus whereas it is insignificant in Boc-NH-Caa(S)-beta-hGly-OCH(3) (13), which has the sugar moiety at the N-terminus. Similarly, two pairs of diastereomeric dipeptides were distinguished by the high- and low-energy CID of [M + H](+) ions. The loss of 2-methylprop-2-ene is more pronounced for Boc-NH-Caa(R)-beta-hGly-OCH(3) (17) and Boc-NH-Caa(R)-Caa(S)-OCH(3) (18) isomers whereas it is insignificant for Boc-NH-Caa(S)-beta-hGly-OCH(3) (13) and Boc-NH-Caa(S)-Caa(S)-OCH(3) (2) isomers. This was attributed to a favorable configuration of the carbohydrate moiety favoring the 'H' migration involved in the loss of 2-methylprop-2-ene from the [M + H](+) ions of isomers 17 and 18 compared with the unfavorable configuration of the carbohydrate moiety in isomers 13 and 2. 相似文献

A new aromatic sulfonium counter‐ion motif for polyoxometalate (POM) clusters with potential for structural and electronic fine‐tuning has been designed. Its two derivatives 4‐hydroxyphenyl dimethylsulfonium triflate (HPDST) and 4‐(allyloxy)phenyl dimethylsulfonium triflate (APDST) exhibit ionic liquid behaviors under ambient conditions. HPDST and APDST are used to develop a series of aromatic sulfonium POM hybrids (HPDS/APDS)n[XMo12O40] (HPDS and APDS are the cations of HPDST and APDST, respectively; X=P or Si; n=3 or 4), which are tested for photochromic behavior. On exposure to UV light, these POM hybrids undergo color change from yellow to green/blue. The coloration kinetics half lives (t1/2) are less for APDS‐based hybrids than for HPDS‐based hybrids, suggesting that alkyl substitution on the phenolic group helps to fine‐tune the electron availability on the sulfonium moiety and hence to control the photochromic behavior of the POM hybrids. The t1/2 values of these hybrids are considerably lower than those of the reported aliphatic sulfonium POM hybrids. We have also demonstrated the application of photoreduced POM hybrids as catalysts for the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol to 4‐aminophenol. 相似文献

A new ligand, 2‐aminonicotinaldehyde N‐methyl thiosemicarbazone (ANMTSC) and its metal complexes [Co(II) ( 1 ); Ni(II) ( 2 ); Cu(II) ( 3 ); Zn(II) ( 4 ); Cd(II) ( 5 ) or Hg(II) ( 6 )] were synthesized. The compounds were characterized by analytical methods and various spectroscopic (infrared, magnetic, thermal, 1H, 13C NMR, electronic and ESR) tools. The structure of ANMTSC ligand was confirmed by single crystal X‐ray diffraction study. The spectral data of metal complexes indicate that the ligand acts as mononegative, bidentate coordination through imine nitrogen (N) and thiocarbonyl sulphur (S?) atoms. The proposed geometries for complexes were octahedral ( 1 – 2 ), distorted octahedral ( 3 ) and tetrahedral ( 4 – 6 ). Computational details of theoretical calculations (DFT) of complexes have been discussed. The compounds were subjected to antimicrobial, antioxidant, antidiabetic, anticancer, ROS, studies and EGFR targeting molecular docking analysis. Complex 5 has shown excellent antibacterial activity and the complexes 2 and 5 have shown good antifungal activity. The complexes 1 and 4 displayed good antioxidant property with IC50 values of 11.17 ± 1.92 μM and 10.79 ± 1.85 μM, respectively compared to standard. In addition, in vitro anticancer activity of the compounds was investigated against HeLa, MCF‐7, A549, IMR‐32 and HEK 293 cell lines. Among all the compounds, complex 4 was more effective against HeLa (IC50 = 10.28 ± 0.69 μM), MCF‐7 (IC50 = 9.80 ± 0.83 μM), A549 (IC50 = 11.08 ± 0.57 μM) and IMR‐32 (10.41 ± 0.60 μM) exhibited superior anticancer activity [IC50 = 9.80 ± 0.83 ( 4 ) and 9.91 ± 0.37 μM ( 1 )] against MCF‐7 compared with other complexes. 相似文献
