A highly water‐soluble phenothiazine (PTZ)–boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY)‐based electron donor–acceptor dyad ( WS‐Probe ), which contains BODIPY as the signaling antennae and PTZ as the OCl? reactive group, was designed and used as a fluorescent chemosensor for the detection of OCl?. Upon addition of incremental amounts of NaOCl, the quenched fluorescence of WS‐Probe was enhanced drastically, which indicated the inhibition of reductive photoinduced electron transfer (PET) from PTZ to 1BODIPY*; the detection limit was calculated to be 26.7 nm . Selectivity studies with various reactive oxygen species, cations, and anions revealed that WS‐Probe was able to detect OCl? selectively. Steady‐state fluorescence studies performed at varied pH suggested that WS‐Probe can detect NaOCl and exhibits maximum fluorescence in the pH range of 7 to 8, similar to physiological conditions. ESI‐MS analysis and 1H NMR spectroscopy titrations showed the formation of sulfoxide as the major oxidized product upon addition of hypochlorite. More interestingly, when WS‐Probe was treated with real water samples, the fluorescence response was clearly visible with tap water and disinfectant, which indicated the presence of OCl? in these samples. The in vitro cell viability assay performed with human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK 293) cells suggested that WS‐probe is non‐toxic up to 10 μm and implicates the use of the probe for biological applications. 相似文献

Summary Nineteen phenothiazines were pyrolyzed and their products analyzed gas chromatographically. The pyrolysis products were compared with those obtained from a similar study of the barbiturates. Tentative identifications have been made of three pyrolysis products. The pyrolyzates of the various phenothiazine derivatives yield gas chromatographie patterns which differentiate among them.

Zusammenfassung Die Pyrolyseprodukte von 19 Phenothiazinen wurden gaschromato-graphisch analysiert und mit jenen verglichen, die bei einer analogen Untersuchung von Barbituraten erhalten worden waren. Die Identifizierung von drei Pyrolyseprodukten wurde versucht. Die Pyrolysate der verschiedenen Phenothiazinderivate lassen sich gaschromatographisch unterscheiden.
Résumé On a effectué la pyrolyse de dix-neuf phénothiazines et analysé les produits résultants par chromatographie en phase gazeuse. On a comparé les résultats — ceux obtenus au cours d'une étude semblable sur les barbiturates. On a tenté d'identifier trois produits de pyrolyse. Les produits de pyrolyse de plusieurs dérivé de la phénothiazine donnent en chromatographie en phase gazeuse des enregistrements qui permettent de les différencier.

Enhancing the sensitivity of colorimetric detection in paper-devices is a quintessential step in achieving frugal diagnosis. Here, we demonstrate an effective way of improving the detection sensitivity of paper-based devices, as mediated by electro-kinetic mechanisms. By directly employing blood plasma, we investigate the electro-kinetic clustering of glucose, a neutral molecule in paper devices. Under the influence of uniform electric field, dispersed glucose gets accumulated in the paper strips. Due to the combination of EOF and electrophoretic migration, we achieve twofold increase in the colour intensity for both normal and diabetic samples. This approach is robust and possesses better sensitivity than conventional colorimetric assays and can be easily extended to other body fluid based diagnosis. These results may turn out to be of profound importance in improving the quality of pathological diagnosis in low-cost paper-based point-of-care devices deployed in resource-limited settings. 相似文献

Serotonin receptor antagonist drug Ondansetron hydrochloride injectable formulation containing all related substances was identified and quantified by a single, simple, sensitive, eco-friendly, and green high-performance liquid chromatography method. The disseverment of all impurities was achieved with the Discovery Cyano (250 × 4.6) mm, 5 μm column. The gradient program was composed of pH 5.7 phosphate buffer as mobile phase A and acetonitrile as mobile phase B. The flow rate, column compartment temperature, and detection wavelengths were 0.9 mL/min, 30°C, and 216 nm, respectively. The method was validated as per current regulatory guidelines. The obtained %relative standard deviation for the precision results was between 0.55 and 2.72% for all impurities. The correlation coefficient values from the linearity experiment for impurities and analyte were more than 0.995. The accuracy results were obtained between 88.4 and 113.0% for all impurities. Both sample and standard solutions showed 24 h stability at benchtop and refrigerator conditions. All impurities and analytes met the specificity and mass balance for all forced degradation conditions. Quality-by-design-based design of experiments was utilized to establish the method's robustness.
