Two fabrication methods of surface relief electro-optic (EO) gratings in azo-polymer films are described: surface deformation by a continuous wave laser and laser ablation by a pulse laser. In the fabrication process, the periodic intensity modulation of laser beams is formed by an interference fringe or a phase mask. The surface relief EO grating is fabricated by poling the surface relief grating (SRG) after the SRG fabrication process. The linear dependence of an applied voltage in the modulation efficiency of the first-order diffraction beam is observed. The proposed methods are effective for highly-efficient surface relief EO grating fabrication.  相似文献

Solvation dynamics in alcohols confined in silica nanochannels was examined by time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy using coumarin 153 (C153) as a fluorescent probe. Surfactant-templated mesoporous silica was fabricated inside the pores of an anodic alumina membrane. The surfactant was removed by calcination to give mesoporous silica (Cal-NAM) containing one-dimensional (1D) silica nanochannels (diameter, 3.1 nm) whose inner surface was covered with silanol groups. By treating Cal-NAM with trimethylchlorosilane, trimethylsilyl (TMS) groups were formed on the inner surface of the silica nanochannels (TMS-NAM). Fluorescence dynamic Stokes shifts of C153 were measured in alcohols (ethanol, butanol, hexanol, and decanol) confined in the silica nanochannels of Cal- and TMS-NAMs, and the time-dependent fluorescence decay profiles could be best fitted by a biexponential function. The estimated solvent relaxation times were much larger than those observed in bulk alcohols for both Cal- and TMS-NAMs when ethanol or butanol was used as a solvent, indicating that the mobility of these alcohol molecules was restricted within the silica nanochannels. However, hexanol or decanol in Cal- and TMS-NAMs did not cause a remarkable increase in the solvent relaxation time in contrast to ethanol or butanol. Therefore, it was concluded that a relatively rigid assembly of alcohols (an alcohol chain) was formed within the silica nanochannels by hydrogen bonding interaction and van der Waals force between the surface functional groups of the silica nanochannels and alcohol molecules and by the successive interaction between alcohol molecules when alcohol with a short alkyl chain (ethanol or butanol) was used as a solvent.  相似文献

Background  

Rosiglitazone (ROZ) and glimepiride (GLM) are antidiabetic agents used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. A survey of the literature reveals that only one spectrophotometric method has been reported for the simultaneous determination of ROS and GLM in pharmaceutical preparations. However the reported method suffers from the low sensitivity, for this reason, our target was to develop a simple sensitive HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of ROZ and GLM in their combined dosage forms and plasma.  相似文献

The reaction of [(trimethylsilyl)imino]methyldiphenylphosphorane: Ph2MePNSiMe3 (I) with several acid anhydrides or alkyl isocyanates took place by the simple cleavage of silicon-nitrogen bond. In contrast the interaction of (I) with phenyl isocyanate, isothiocyanate or carbon disulphide led to addition-elimination reactions of the Wittig type. The number of pigments in single light-harvesting complexes (chlorosomes) were calculated by imaging single chlorosomes in a frozen buffer at cryogenic temperature with a confocal laser fluorescence microscope and pigment extraction. Chlorosomes were isolated from two types of green photosynthetic bacteria Chlorobium (Chl.) tepidum and Chloroflexus (Cfl.) aurantiacus and were individually imaged in the frozen medium. Each fluorescence spot observed mainly came from a single chlorosome and was ascribable to self-aggregates of bacteriochlorophyll (BChl) c molecules as core parts of chlorosomes. A three-dimensional distribution of fluorescence of single chlorosomes was analyzed, and the number of chlorosomes in a volume of 54,000 microm(3) was counted directly. On the basis of the results, averaged numbers of the BChl c molecules contained in a single chlorosome of Chl. tepidum and Cfl. aurantiacus were determined to be 1.4 x 10(5) and 9.6 x 10(4), respectively. The present numbers are almost comparable to those estimated by other methods (Martinez-Planells et al., Photosynth. Res. 2002, 71, 83 and Monta?o et al., Biophys. J. 2003, 85, 2560).  相似文献

We have studied effects of added elements as well as defects on trap-sites of hydrogen in metals. For the purpose, we observed depth profiles and thermal behaviors of hydrogen implanted into Al-1.5 at.% Si alloy samples in an implantation-temperature range of liquid nitrogen temperature (LNT) to 373 K at different doses. The results were compared with those for pure aluminum samples. It was found that hydrogen is trapped as molecules in grain boundaries of Al/Si.  相似文献
