Structures of the [C(6)H(6)-(CH(3)OH)(2)](+) cluster cation are investigated with infrared (IR) spectroscopy. While the noncovalent type structure has been confirmed for the n = 1 cluster of [C(6)H(6)-(CH(3)OH)(n)](+), only contradictory interpretations have been given for the spectra of n = 2, in which significant changes have been observed with the Ar tagging. In the present study, we revisit IR spectroscopy of the n = 2 cluster from the viewpoint of the σ-complex structure, which includes a covalent bond formation between the benzene and methanol moieties. The observed spectral range is extended to the lower-frequency region, and the spectrum is measured with and without Ar and N(2) tagging. A strongly hydrogen-bonded OH stretch band, which is characteristic to the σ-complex structure, is newly found with the tagging. The remarkable spectral changes with the tagging are interpreted by the competition between the σ-complex and noncovalent complex structures in the [C(6)H(6)-(CH(3)OH)(2)](+) system. This result shows that the microsolvation only with one methanol molecule can induce the σ-complex structure formation. 相似文献

Several non‐synonymous SNPs in the human deoxyribonuclease I‐like 2 (DNase 1L2) gene responsible for DNA degradation during terminal differentiation of epidermal keratinocytes have been identified. However, only limited population data are available, and furthermore the effect of these SNPs on the DNase 1L2 activity remains unknown. Genotyping of all of the 17 SNPs was performed using the PCR‐RFLP method in three ethnic groups including 14 different populations. A series of amino acid‐substituted DNase 1L2 corresponding to each SNP was expressed, and its activity was measured. All of the six non‐synonymous SNPs exhibited a mono‐allelic distribution, whereas the distribution of some SNPs other than exonic ones was ethnicity‐dependent. Each of the minor alleles in SNPs, p.Ala20Asp, p.Val104Leu, p.Asp197Ala, p.Glu274Lys and p.Asp287Asn, among the non‐synonymous SNPs produced low or no activity‐harbouring DNase 1L2. DNase 1L2 is well conserved, retaining full levels of enzymatic activity, with regard to these exonic SNPs in human populations. It seems plausible to assume that these SNPs affecting the activity may be one of the factors responsible for a genetic pre‐disposition for failure of differentiation‐associated cell death in various keratinocyte lineages, thereby leading to the development of parakeratosis. Chemical modification along ion tracks in PADC films has been studied by means of FT-IR spectrometry, which was exposed to proton and heavy ions of He, C, Ne, Ar, Fe, Kr and Xe with energies around the Bragg peaks. This study covers a wide region of the stopping power ranging from 10 to 10,000 keV/μm. Removal cross sections for the loss of ether and carbonate ester bonds are assessed for each ion, as a function of the stopping power. Chemical damage parameters like the damage density, the effective track core radius and the radiation chemical yields, G values (scissions/100 eV), for each bond are also derived. We have found anomalous dependence of these parameters on the stopping power. The G value for the loss of carbonate ester bond decreased from 20 for proton down to 5 for C and Ne ions, and then increased with atomic number of heavy ions up to 8 for Xe ion. Radial dose distribution for each ion has been also calculated. Results are discussed from the viewpoint of polymeric structure of PADC that consists of two parts with different radio-sensitivities. 相似文献

Two-proton relative momentum distributions from the break-up channels 23Al→p+p+21Na and 22Mg→p+p+20Ne at an energy of 60–70 A MeV have been measured together with two-proton opening angles at the projectile fragment separator beamline (RIPS) in the RIKEN Ring Cyclotron Facility. Porous semiconductor compound nanoparticles have been prepared by a new technique utilizing electronic excitation. The porous structures are formed in GaSb particles, when vacancies are efficiently introduced by electronic excitation and the particle size is large enough to confine the vacancy clusters. The capture cross section of the surface layer in particles for the vacancies is smaller than that for the interstitials. Under the condition of supersaturation of vacancies in the particle core, porous structures are produced through the vacancy clusters to a void formation. 相似文献

This Letter investigates the period-doubling cascades of canards, generated in the extended Bonhoeffer-van der Pol oscillator. Canards appear by Andronov-Hopf bifurcations (AHBs) and it is confirmed that these AHBs are always supercritical in our system. The cascades of period-doubling bifurcation are followed by mixed-mode oscillations. The detailed two-parameter bifurcation diagrams are derived, and it is clarified that the period-doubling bifurcations arise from a narrow parameter value range at which the original canard in the non-extended equation is observed. 相似文献
