The syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetic properties of [Mn(12)O(12)(O(2)CC(6)F(5))(16)(H(2)O)(4)] (2), (NMe(4))[Mn(12)O(12)(O(2)CC(6)F(5))(16)(H(2)O)(4)] (3), and (NMe(4))(2)[Mn(12)O(12)(O(2)CC(6)F(5))(16)(H(2)O)(4)] (4) are reported. Complex 2 displays quasi-reversible redox couples when examined by cyclic voltammetry in CH(2)Cl(2): one-electron reductions are observed at 0.64 and 0.30 V vs ferrocene. The reaction of complex 2 with 1 and 2 equiv of NMe(4)I yields the one- and two-electron reduced analogues, 3 and 4, respectively. Complexes 2.3CH(2)Cl(2), 3.4.5CH(2)Cl(2).(1)/(2)H(2)O, and 4.6C(7)H(8) crystallize in the triclinic P, monoclinic P2/c, and monoclinic C2/c space groups, respectively. The molecular structures are all very similar, consisting of a central [Mn(IV)O(4)] cubane surrounded by a nonplanar alternating ring of eight Mn and eight mu(3)-O(2)(-) ions. Peripheral ligation is provided by 16 bridging C(6)F(5)CO(2)(-) and 4 H(2)O ligands. Bond valence sum calculations establish that the added electrons in 3 and 4 are localized on former Mn(III) ions giving trapped-valence Mn(IV)(4)Mn(III)(7)Mn(II) and Mn(IV)(4)Mn(III)(6)Mn(II)(2) anions, respectively. (19)F NMR spectroscopy in CD(2)Cl(2) shows retention of the solid-state structure upon dissolution and detrapping of the added electrons in 3 and 4 among the outer ring of Mn ions on the (19)F NMR time scale. DC studies on dried microcrystalline samples of 2, 3, and 4.2.5C(7)H(8) restrained in eicosane in the 1.80-10.0 K and 1-70 kG ranges were fit to give S = 10, D = -0.40 cm(-)(1), g = 1.87, D/g = 0.21 cm(-)(1) for 2, S = 19/2, D = -0.34 cm(-)(1), g = 2.04, D/g = 0.17 cm(-)(1) for 3, and S = 10, D = -0.29 cm(-)(1), g = 2.05, D/g = 0.14 cm(-)(1) for 4, where D is the axial zero-field splitting parameter. The clusters exhibit out-of-phase AC susceptibility signals (chi(M)' ') indicative of slow magnetization relaxation in the 6-8 K range for 2, 4-6 K range for 3, and 2-4 K range for 4; the shift to lower temperatures reflects the decreasing magnetic anisotropy upon successive reduction and, hence, the decreasing energy barrier to magnetization relaxation. Relaxation rate vs T data obtained from chi(M)' ' vs AC oscillation frequency studies down to 1.8 K were combined with rate vs T data from DC magnetization decay vs time measurements at lower temperatures to generate an Arrhenius plot from which the effective barrier (U(eff)) to magnetization reversal was obtained; the U(eff) values are 59 K for 2, 49 and 21 K for the slower- and faster-relaxing species of 3, respectively, and 25 K for 4. Hysteresis loops obtained from single-crystal magnetization vs DC field scans are typical of single-molecule magnets with the coercivities increasing with decreasing T and increasing field sweep rate and containing steps caused by the quantum tunneling of magnetization (QTM). The step separations gave D/g values of 0.22 cm(-)(1) for 2, 0.15 and 0.042 cm(-)(1) for the slower- and faster-relaxing species of 3, and 0.15 cm(-)(1) for 4.  相似文献

Solid amorphous mixed zirconium-titanium phosphates, with general formula ZrxTi/1–x//HPO4/2.n H2O/ where x=0.1–1, and n=3–5/, are mixed with an excess of solid oxalic acid dihydrate and digested in molten oxalic acid. Then oxalic acid is removed by extraction and the residue washed with dilute /O.OlM/ HCl solution and bidistilled water. As a result of this method, crystalline mixed zirconium-titanium phosphate is formed.  相似文献

We investigate the sensitivity of femtosecond Fourier transform two-dimensional infrared spectroscopy to protein secondary structure with a study of antiparallel beta-sheets. The results show that 2D IR spectroscopy is more sensitive to structural differences between proteins than traditional infrared spectroscopy, providing an observable that allows comparison to quantitative models of protein vibrational spectroscopy. 2D IR correlation spectra of the amide I region of poly-l-lysine, concanavalin A, ribonuclease A, and lysozyme show cross-peaks between the IR-active transitions that are characteristic of amide I couplings for polypeptides in antiparallel hydrogen-bonding registry. For poly-l-lysine, the 2D IR spectrum contains the eight-peak structure expected for two dominant vibrations of an extended, ordered antiparallel beta-sheet. In the proteins with antiparallel beta-sheets, interference effects between the diagonal and cross-peaks arising from the sheets, combined with diagonally elongated resonances from additional amide transitions, lead to a characteristic "Z"-shaped pattern for the amide I region in the 2D IR spectrum. We discuss in detail how the number of strands in the sheet, the local configurational disorder in the sheet, the delocalization of the vibrational excitation, and the angle between transition dipole moments affect the position, splitting, amplitude, and line shape of the cross-peaks and diagonal peaks.  相似文献

Ru-complexes are widely studied because of their use in biological applications and photoconversion technologies. We reveal novel insights into the chemical bonding of a series of Ru(ii)- and Ru(iii)-complexes by leveraging recent advances in high-energy-resolution tender X-ray spectroscopy and theoretical calculations. We perform Ru 2p4d resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) to probe the valence excitations in dilute solvated Ru-complexes. Combining these experiments with a newly developed theoretical approach based on time-dependent density functional theory, we assign the spectral features and quantify the metal–ligand bonding interactions. The valence-to-core RIXS features uniquely identify the metal-centered and charge transfer states and allow extracting the ligand-field splitting for all the complexes. The combined experimental and theoretical approach described here is shown to reliably characterize the ground and excited valence states of Ru complexes, and serve as a basis for future investigations of ruthenium, or other 4d metals active sites, in biological and chemical applications.

A simple kinetic spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of josamycin in its dosage forms and spiked human plasma. The method is based on reaction of the drug with 3-methylbenzothiazolin-2-one hydrazone/ferric chloride system for a fixed time of 20 min at 70 degrees C and measuring the produced color at 665 nm. The absorbance-concentration plot is rectilinear over the range of 5.0-30.0 microg/mL with detection limit of 1.0 microg/mL (1.2 x 10(-6) M). The determination of josamycin by the fixed concentration and the rate-constant methods is also feasible with the calibration equations obtained, but the fixed-time method proved to be more applicable. The procedure was successfully applied to commercial tablets. The results obtained were favorably compared with those given by reference methods. The method was further extended to the in vitro determination of josamycin in spiked human plasma. The recovery (n = 8) was 100.76 +/- 3.43%. The stoichiometry of the reaction between the drug and the reagent was studied by adopting the limiting logarithmic method, and a proposal of the reaction pathway was presented.  相似文献

Abstract

A hybrid nanocomposite based on ethylene propylene diene monomer/carboxylated styrene-butadiene rubber (EPDM/XSBR) blend with different concentrations (0–7 phr) of multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) was prepared on a two-roll mill. The role of grafted maleic anhydride (EPDM-g-MA) as compatibilizer and the effect of different concentrations of MWCNT on mechanical properties, morphology, rheological and curing characteristics of nanocomposites were investigated. The curing behavior of the prepared nanocomposites was studied using a rheometer. Also, the microstructure of nanocomposites was observed using TEM. By increasing the MWCNT concentration in the compatible blends, the curing time and scorch time of the blends decreased, while the maximum and minimum torque increased. Failure surface morphology studies showed that the existence of EPDM-g-MAH compatibilizer improved the distribution of MWCNT within the polymer matrix and uniform distribution of MWCNT with a small amount of aggregation was obtained. On the other hand, the presence of MWCNT in the matrix led to a sharper surface of the fracture. Also, mechanical properties such as modulus, tensile strength, hardness, fatigue, resilience and elongation-at-break for compatible EPDM/XSBR nanocomposite showed better results than those for incompatible composite.  相似文献

The complexation reactions of cerium(III and IV) with 9-phenyl-2,3,7-trihydroxy-6-fluorone (H3 PF) have been studied in the presence and absence of some surfactants and protective colloids. Maximum enhancement of the chelate absorbances is obtained with the cationic surfactant cetylpyridinium bromide (CPB) or cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). In thepH ranges 8.2–9.0 and 9.8–10.8 the ternary 1:3:3 and 1:4:3 cerium(III)-PF-CPB complexes are formed with molar absorptivities of 9.02 × 104 and 9.86 · 104 lmol–1 cm–1 at 570 and 590 nm, respectively. The corresponding 1:4:2 and 1:3:2 complexes of cerium(IV) are formed in thepH ranges 8.4–9.0 and 9.8–10.6 in the presence ofCTAB andCPB, respectively. Their molar absorptivities are 8.00·104 and 8.56·104lmol–1 cm–1 at 570 and 590 nm, respectively. The stability constants of the studied complexes have been determined and a spectrophotometric method has been developed to determine the cerium content in monazite concentrate.
Komplexierungsreaktionen von Cer(III und IV) mit 9-Phenyl-2,3,7-trihydroxy-6-fluoron in Gegenwart kationischer oberflächenaktiver Stoffe
Zusammenfassung Es wurden Komplexierungsreaktionen von Cer(III und IV) mit 9-Phenyl-2,3,7-trihydroxy-6-fluoron (H3 PF) in Gegenwart und auch ohne oberflächenaktive Stoffe und Schutzkolloide untersucht. Maximale Verstärkung der UV-VIS-Absorption wurde mit den kationischen oberflächenaktiven Verbindungen Cetylpyridiniumbromid (CPB) und Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromid (CTAB) erreicht. ImpH-Bereich von 8.2–9.0 und 9.8–10.8 bildeten sich die ternären 1:3:3 und 1:4:3 Cer(III)-PF-CPB-Komplexe mit molaren Extinktionskoeffizienten von 9.02·104, bzw. 9.86·104lmol–1 cm–1 bei 570 bzw. 590 nm. Die entsprechenden 1:4:2 und 1:3:2 Cer(IV)-Komplexe wurden impH-Bereich 8.4–9.0 und 9.8–10.6 in Gegenwart vonCTAB undCPB gebildet, wobei die Extinktionskoeffizienten bei 8.00·104, bzw. 8.56·104 lmol–1 cm–1 bei 570 bzw. 590 nm lagen. Es wurden die Stabilitätskonstanten der Komplexe bestimmt und es wurde eine spektrophotometrische Methode zur Bestimmung von Cer in Monazitkonzentrat entwickelt.

The complex W(NPh)Cl2[o-(NSiMe3)2C6H4] 3 was synthesized from PhN = WCl4 · OEt2 and N,N′-(Li2[o-(NSiMe3)2C6H4] and reacts with Lewis bases to form the adducts W(NPh)Cl2[o-(NSiMe3)2C6H4](L) (L = PMe3, THF, 3-picoline, tBuNC, MeCN) 4a–e. Crystals of 4a are triclinic, space group P1¯, with a = 9.562(1), b = 10.277(1), c = 14.920(2) Å, = 82.15(1), β = 80.18(1), γ = 80.41(1)°, and Z = 2. The structure was solved by the heavy atom method and refined to R = 0.0408 for 4224 observed (I > 2σ(I)) reflections. The dialkyl complexes W(NPh)R2[o-(NSiMe3)2C6H4] (R = Me, Et, CH2Ph, CH2CMe3, CH2CMe2Ph) 5–9 are formed through subsequent reactions of 3 with the corresponding Grignard reagent. Crystals of complex 5 are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, with a = 10.3545(2), b = 17.9669(1), c = 13.3168(1) Å, β = 103.826(1)°, and Z = 4. The structure of complex 5 was solved by direct methods in SHELXTL5 and refined to R = 0.0247 for 4572 observed reflections. Compound 5 has a square pyramidal geometry in which the imido ligand occupies the apical position and reacts with PMe3 to form the adduct W(NPh)Me2[o-(NSiMe3)2C6H4](PMe3) 5a. Crystals of complex 5a are monoclinic, space group C2/m, with a = 13.5336(1), b = 14.4291(1), c = 15.3785(1) Å, β = 110.365(1)°, and Z = 4. The structure of compound 5a was solved by direct methods in shelxtl5 and refined to R = 0.0272 for 3057 observed reflections. Crystals of the bis-neopentyl complex 8 are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, with a = 10.6992(4), b = 18.3144(7), c = 16.0726(6) Å, β = 92.042(1)°, and Z = 4. The structure of 8 was solved by direct methods in shelxtl5 and refined to R = 0.0261 for 5881 observed reflections. Complex 8 has a trigonal bipyramidal geometry with both neopentyl groups and one amido nitrogen in the equatorial plane.  相似文献

The focus of the present work is the preparation of new metal-based nanodrug to overcome limitations of chemotherapy such as poor water solubility of most common chemotherapeutic drugs. The copper(II) complex of 1,2,4-triazine derivatives, [Cu(dppt)2(H2O)2]2+ (dppt is 5,6-diphenyl- 3- (2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazine), has been synthesized at nano-size by sonochemical method and characterized by FTIR, zetasizer, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The interaction of the complex and nanocomplex with fish sperm DNA (FS–DNA) and BSA have been investigated under physiological conditions by a series of experimental methods. The results have indicated that the complex binds to FS–DNA by two biding modes, viz., electrostatic and intercalates into the base pairs of DNA. The competitive study with ethidium bromide (EB) shows that the complex and nanocomplex competes for the DNA–binding sites with EB. Protein binding studies show that the complex and nanocomplex could bind with BSA. The results of synchronous fluorescence of BSA show that additions of the complex affect the microenvironment of both tyrosine and tryptophan residues during the binding process. The in vitro cytotoxicity of the complex (solution in DMSO) and nanocomplex (colloid in H2O) against the human carcinoma cell lines (MCF-7 and A-549) was evaluated by MTT assay. The results of in vitro cytotoxicity indicate that the complex and nanocomplex have excellent cytotoxicity activity against MCF-7 and A-549. Results of the microscopic analyses of the cancer cells confirm the results of the cytotoxicity.  相似文献

We study a single two-level atom interacting with quantum systems of N-level atoms in the presence of an external classical field. We obtain an analytic solution under a specified condition. Then we determine the time-dependent wave function through the evolution operator and employ the wave function obtained for careful investigation of the temporal evolution of the atomic inversion and linear entropy, where the influence of the external classical field is examined. Our study of the linear entropy shows that the system is almost in a mixed state, and the maximum value of entanglement occurs through the linear entropy. Furthermore, we examine the variance squeezing and entropy squeezing for different values of the external classical field parameter, which leads to different observations of the squeezing in the quadratures. In particular, it leads to an increase in the amount of squeezing for all quadratures, as well as the squeezing period.  相似文献
