The effect of the H2O/CO2 and EtOH/CO2 media at pressures and temperatures corresponding to the formation of supercritical (sc) carbon dioxide on the structure and mechanical properties of bovine jugular veins was studied for the first time. Treatment of bovine jugular veins in an sc-CO2 + ethanol or sc-CO2 + water medium considerably devitalized the tissue and increased the tissue elasticity, which allows considering the treated veins as promising vascular grafts with expected high capacity to suppress calcification and good hemodynamic properties. 相似文献
The mechanical properties of new magnetic composite materials were studied. The above materials represent rubbery silicon matrices filled with magnetic microparticles of metallic iron or magnetite. In homogeneous magnetic fields with an intensity of up to 0.4 T, the shear modulus of the composites was abnormally high (up to 10 000%). The variation of elastic properties of new materials on the type and volume content of the magnetic filler was investigated. In the presence of a sufficiently strong magnetic field, the above composites were shown to behave as elastoplastic materials with strengthening. 相似文献

The aim of the current work was to determine thermo dynamical properties of 5(2-nitro phenyl)-furan-2-carbaldehyde, 5(3-nitro phenyl)-furan-2-carbaldehyde and 5(4-nitro phenyl)-furan-2-carbaldehyde.
Results
The temperature dependence of saturated vapor pressure of 5(2-nitro phenyl)-furan-2-carbaldehyde, 5(3-nitro phenyl)-furan-2-carbaldehyde and 5(4-nitro phenyl)-furan-2-carbaldehyde was determined by Knudsen’s effusion method. The results are presented by the Clapeyron–Clausius equation in linear form, and via this form, the standard enthalpies, entropies and Gibbs energies of sublimation and evaporation of compounds were calculated at 298.15 K. The standard molar formation enthalpies of compounds in crystalline state at 298.15 K were determined indirectly by the corresponding standard molar combustion enthalpy, obtained using bomb calorimetry combustion.
Conclusions
Determination of the thermodynamic properties for these compounds may contribute to solving practical problems pertaining optimization processes of their synthesis, purification and application and it will also provide a more thorough insight regarding the theoretical knowledge of their nature.
The surface of several plasma-treated polymers after their tensile drawing is examined by microscopic study. This process
is accompanied by the development of a surface micropattern that is characteristic of the rigid coating on a soft substratum
system. The modified surface layer forms even during short-time plasma treatment (less than one minute). Treatment of the
polymer and any further treatment insignificantly changes its mechanical properties. The mechanical characteristics (breaking
strength and the elongation at break) of the plasma-modified surface PET layers are quantitatively estimated, and these characteristics
