HET acid was condensed with either ethylene glycol or 1,4-butanediol to yield the respective oligoesters. These oligoesters were characterized by molecular weight, measured by vapor-pressure osmometry. The degradation mechanism of oligoesters of HET acid with either ethylene glycol or 1,4-butanediol was elucidated. The thermal properties of these polyesters were studied using differential thermal analysis and thermal volatilization analysis. The mechanism of degradation was proposed on the basis of pyrolysis–gas chromatography studies, the degradation products being subsequently identified by mass spectrometry. It turned out that in the course of decomposition, hexachlorocyclopentadiene was formed, which is believed to be the active substance for flame retardance in these systems. The aspect of tailoring flame retardancy by changing the chemical environment, i.e., by using different diols, is discussed. 相似文献

N 6-benzyladeninium nitrate, (1), C12H12N5 + NO3 − crystallizes in P2 1/c, with a = 15.0035(13), b = 5.3788(5), c = 16.8954(13) ?, β = 107.331(6)°, Z = 4 and N 6-benzyladeninium 3-hydroxy picolinate, (2), C12H12N5 + C6H4NO3 −, crystallizes in P1, with a = 8.3017(4), b = 14.6170(7), c = 14.7909 (8) ?, α = 78.801 (4), β = 81.979 (4),γ = 88.849 (4)°, Z = 4. In both the salts, the cation exists as N(7)H tautomer with protonation at the N3 atom. The dihedral angle of 76.64 (16)° for (1), 67.91(12)° for (cation A) and 68.27 (13)° for (cation B) in (2), between the adenine plane and phenyl ring plane, the distal orientation of the N6 substituent with respect to the imidazole ring and the free N1 position, make these benzyladeninium cations meet all the requirements necessary for cytokinin activity. Abstract
The title compound 5-Hydroxy-1,7-bis-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)-hepta-1,6-dien-3-one crystallizes in orthorhombic space group Pca21 with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The unit cell parameters are: a = 35.5368(8), b = 7.7799(2), c = 12.6796(3) ?, D calc = 1.396 Mgm−3, V = 3505.6(2) ?3 and Z = 8. The two aromatic rings in both the molecules are found almost coplanar, their dihedral angles are 18.8° and 13.8°, respectively. The molecular packing is stabilized by strong O–H···O and C–H···O types of hydrogen bonding interactions. The keto and enol groups form an strong O–H···O intra-molecular interaction in both molecules of asymmetric unit. Chemical modification of nucleic acids at the 2'-position of ribose has generated antisense oligonucleotides (AONs) with a range of desirable properties. Electron-withdrawing substituents such as 2'-O-[2-(methoxy)ethyl] (MOE) confer enhanced RNA affinity relative to that of DNA by conformationally preorganizing an AON for pairing with the RNA target and by improving backbone hydration. 2'-Substitution of the ribose has also been shown to increase nuclease resistance and cellular uptake via changes in lipophilicity. Interestingly, incorporation of either 2'-O-[2-(methylamino)-2-oxoethyl]- (NMA) or 2'-O-(N-methylcarbamate)-modified (NMC) residues into AONs has divergent effects on RNA affinity. Incorporation of 2'-O-NMA-T considerably improves RNA affinity while incorporation of 2'-O-NMC-T drastically reduces RNA affinity. Crystal structures at high resolution of A-form DNA duplexes containing either 2'-O-NMA-T or 2'-O-NMC-T shed light on the structural origins of the surprisingly large difference in stability given the relatively minor difference in chemistry between NMA and NMC. NMA substituents adopt an extended conformation and use either their carbonyl oxygen or amino nitrogen to trap water molecules between phosphate group and sugar. The conformational properties of NMA and the observed hydration patterns are reminiscent of those found in the structures of 2'-O-MOE-modified RNA. Conversely, the carbonyl oxygen of NMC and O2 of T are in close contact, providing evidence that an unfavorable electrostatic interaction and the absence of a stable water structure are the main reasons for the loss in thermodynamic stability as a result of incorporation of 2'-O-NMC-modified residues. 相似文献

Abstract
The complexes, Ba (HQS) (H2O)4 (HQS = 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid) (1) and Ag (HIQS) (H2O) (Ferron = 7-iodo-8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid) (2) have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis and spectroscopic studies. In compound 1, Ba2+ ion has a nine-coordinate monocapped antiprismatic geometry. In compound 2, Ag+ has distorted tetrahedral coordination and Ag···I interactions generate the supramolecular architectures. The complexes have been characterized by FT-IR and UV–Visible measurements. New hexa‐coordinated binuclear Ru(III) Schiff base complexes of the type {[(B)2X2Ru]2L} (where B = PPh3 or AsPh3; X = Cl or Br; L = binucleating N2O2 Schiff bases) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurement, FT‐IR, UV–vis, 13C{1H}‐NMR, ESR at 300 and 77 K, cyclic voltammetric technique, powder X‐ray diffraction pattern and SEM. The new complexes were used as catalysts in phenyl–phenyl coupling reaction and the oxidation of alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds using molecular oxygen atmosphere at room temperature. Further, the new Schiff base ligands and their Ru(III) complexes were also screened for their antibacterial activity against K. pneumoniae, Shigella sp., M. luteus, E. coli and S. typhi. From this study, it was found that the activity of the ruthenium(III) Schiff base complexes almost reaches the effectiveness of the conventional bacteriocide standards. Growth of magnetron sputtered Pt/CeO2 thin films on Si and Si3N4 were characterized by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Interaction of Pt/CeO2 films with Si on Si and Si3N4 substrates was extensively investigated by XPS. XRD studies show that films are oriented preferentially to (200) direction of CeO2. XPS results show that Pt is mainly present in +2 oxidation state in Pt/CeO2/Si film, whereas Pt4+ predominates in Pt/CeO2/Si3N4 film. Concentration of Pt4+ species is more than four times on Si3N4 substrate as compared with that on Si. Ce is present as both +4 and +3 oxidation states in Pt/CeO2 films deposited on Si and Si3N4 substrates, but concentration of Ce3+ species is more in Pt/CeO2/Si film. Interfacial reaction between CeO2 and Si substrate is controlled in the presence of Pt. Pt/Ce concentration ratio decreases in Pt/CeO2/Si3N4 film upon successive sputtering, whereas this ratio decreases initially and then increases in Pt/CeO2/Si film.
