Tervalent gold was determined spectrophotometrically as its anionic 1:4 gold-thiol complex extracted into chloroform from aqueous acidic medium (1.5M sulphuric acid) in the presence of tri-iso-octylamine. The complex exhibits maximum absorption at 480 nm (molar absorptivity 4.60 x 10(3) l.mole(-1).cm(-1)) and Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 5-50 microg of gold(III) per ml. The relative standard deviation and relative error, calculated from ten determinations of solutions containing 15 microg of gold(III) per ml were 1.0% and 0.8%. The method is simple, selective and reproducible. It permits separation of gold(III) from associated elements and its determination in synthetic mixtures. 相似文献
Abstract— The interaction between the compound eye and the circadian timing system for running activity in the cockroach, Periplaneta americana , has been investigated by measuring the action spectrum for entrainment of such behavior by imposed photic stimuli. Test wavelengths were selected which spanned the spectral range of the dichromatic retina of this insect and intensities of such lights for which half of a population of animals failed to be entrained (threshold) were determined. Stimuli were presented either with a 12:12 light–dark regime or for 12h/day on a continuous background of orange light. The latter procedure altered the balance of sensitivity in the two groups of color receptors in the eye. A comparison of the resulting action spectra and the spectral sensitivities of receptors and visual interneurons measured under similar conditions suggest that the entrainment mechanism is dominated by the receptor group most sensitive to long wavelength light. Furthermore, the eye-clock mechanism shows an extraordinarily high sensitivity to such stimuli. We estimate that a mean flux of about 5 photons/eye/s is sufficient to entrain the behavior. The implications of these results are discussed. 相似文献
A selective and sensitive liquid chromatography–mass spectrometric method in ESI (+ve) mode was developed and validated completely in human plasma. Clonidine and IS, carbamazapine, were extracted from human plasma via liquid–liquid extraction with ethyl acetate. Following evaporation under nitrogen, the residue was reconstituted with mobile phase and analyzed using API 4000 LC–MS–MS system. An isocratic program with binary mobile phases (0.1% formic acid in water and acetonitrile) was used to separate interference peaks by a C18 analytical column. Linearity range was 0.49–73.98 ng mL−1. The intra- and inter-day accuracy and precision were within acceptable limits (≤15%). This method was successfully applied to a single dose 25 μg tablets BE study of clonidine in healthy male volunteers.
The fluorescence spectroscopic technique has been efficiently employed to investigate the interaction between bovine serum albumin (BSA) and cetylpyridinium bromide (CPB) under different pH and temperature conditions. The binding constant, number of binding sites, thermodynamic parameters such as ΔG, ΔH, ΔS, and nature of binding forces between BSA and CPB were obtained by measuring the steady state fluorescence quenching of BSA by CPB. The experimental results showed that the fluorescence quenching of BSA by CPB was a result of the formation of CPB-BSA complex. The static quenching was confirmed from the Stern-Volmer quenching constant at different temperatures. The effect of CPB on the conformation of BSA was analyzed using synchronous and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy. pH dependence complex formation between BSA-CPB is due to the interaction between cationic side chain of CPB and the net charge developed on BSA. The distance ‘r’ between BSA and CPB was obtained according to the fluorescence resonance energy transfer. 相似文献
We present the angular distributions of muon pairs obtained in a high-statistics experiment using a 194-GeV/c π- impinging on a tungsten target. Our results are based on the analysis of 145,000 events with positive Feynmanx and mass above 4.07 GeV/c2, excluding the ? region. Simple first-order QCD relations allow us to determine the ratio of annihilation with hard-gluon emission to the sum of annihilation with hard-gluon emission and hard-gluon Compton scattering, which is found to be about 58% to 75%. We determine the parton square intrinsic transverse momenta to be of the order of 0.6 (GeV/c)2, and about 30% larger in the pion than in the nucleon. At largex1, our data agree with the higher-twist hypothesis, and support the interpretation of the relevant scale parameter as the dimuon square transverse momentum. 相似文献
