This Note analyses a nonlinear age-maturity structured system which arises as a model of the blood cellular production in the bone marrow. The resulting model is a nonlinear first-order partial differential equation in which there is a distributed temporal delay and a retardation in the maturation variable. The construction and performance characteristics of a new potentiometric PVC membrane sensor for the determination of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) are described. The sensor was based on the use of an N-cetyl-N,N,N trimethyl ammonium (CTA) dodecyl sulfate (DS) ion pair as ion exchange sites in PVC matrix in the presence of o-nitrophenyl octylether as plasticiser. The sensor exhibited a fast, stable, and near-Nernstian response for SDS over the concentration range of 1 × 10?3 to 10?6 M at 25°C and the pH range 4–8.5 with anionic slope of 52.5 ± 0.5 mV decade?1. The lower detection limit was 3 × 10?6 M, and the response time was 25 s. Selectivity coefficients of SDS with respect to a number of different species were investigated. There were negligible interferences caused by most of the investigated anions. The determination of 1.0–280.0 µg mL?1 of SDS in aqueous solutions showed an average recovery of 99.1%, and the mean relative standard deviation was 1.4 at 100 µg mL?1. The results obtained in the determination of SDS in liquid soap, water and in some pharmaceutical preparations compared favourably with those obtained by the Methylene Blue active substance method (MBAS). In the present investigation, the DS sensor has been used as an end-point indicator electrode for some precipitation titration reactions, e.g. titration of SDS with CTMABr and cetylpyridinium chloride with SDS. 相似文献

We pursue the study of one-dimensional symmetry of solutions to nonlinear equations involving nonlocal operators. We consider a vast class of nonlinear operators and in a particular case it covers the fractional p-Laplacian operator. Just like the classical De Giorgi's conjecture, we establish a Poincaré inequality and a linear Liouville theorem to provide two different proofs of the one-dimensional symmetry results in two dimensions. Both approaches are of independent interests. In addition, we provide certain energy estimates for layer solutions and Liouville theorems for stable solutions. Most of the methods and ideas applied in the current article are applicable to nonlocal operators with general kernels where the famous extension problem, given by Caffarelli and Silvestre, is not necessarily known. 相似文献

Shallot landraces and varieties are considered an important genetic resource for Allium breeding due to their high contents of several functional metabolites. Aiming to provide new genetic materials for the development of a novel bulb onion cultivar derived from intraspecific hybrids with useful agronomic traits from shallots, the metabolic profiles in the bulbs of 8 Indonesian shallot landraces and 7 short-day and 3 long-day bulb onion cultivars were established using LC–Q-TOF-MS/MS. Principal component analysis, partial least squares discriminant analysis, and dendrogram clustering analysis showed two major groups; group I contained all shallot landraces and group II contained all bulb onion cultivars, indicating that shallots exhibited a distinct metabolic profile in comparison with bulb onions. Variable importance in the projection and Spearman’s rank correlation indicated that free and conjugated amino acids, flavonoids (especially metabolites having flavonol aglycone), and anthocyanins, as well as organic acids, were among the top metabolite variables that were highly associated with shallot landraces. The absolute quantification of 21 amino acids using conventional HPLC analysis showed high contents in shallots rather than in bulb onions. The present study indicated that shallots reprogrammed their metabolism toward a high accumulation of amino acids and flavonoids as an adaptive mechanism in extremely hot tropical environments. 相似文献

The reaction of ethyl benzoylacetate with malononitrile in an oil bath at 120°C gave the condensation product 3. The latter compound underwent a series of heterocyclization to give thiophene, thiazole, pyridine, and pyran derivatives. The structures of the synthesized products were established on the basis of analytical and spectral data. The antitumor evaluation of the newly synthesized products against the six cancer cell lines namely human gastric cancer (NUGC and HR), human colon cancer (DLD1), human liver cancer (HA22T and HEPG2), human breast cancer (MCF), nasopharyngeal carcinoma (HONE1), and normal fibroblast cells (WI38) indicated that many compounds expressed high inhibition against the six cancer cell lines. Compounds 3, 8a, 8c, 14b, 16b, 16c, 16d, 19a, 19b, 20a, 22a, 27b, and 28a were the most cytotoxic compounds among the tested compounds. 相似文献
