The shortest loop covering at least one edge of each workcenter in a manufacturing facility layout is an instance of the generalized traveling salesman problem. The optimal solution to this problem is a promising design for non-vehicle-based material handling, typical of most types of conveyors and power-and-free systems, where the length of the path is the main driver of the total investment costs. The loop formulation is usually embedded within a larger problem of the concurrent design of the loop and the input/output stations for vehicle-based material handling typical of automatically guided vehicles and autonomous delivery robots. In these systems, it is not the length, but the total flow of the loaded and empty vehicles that drives the objective function. It has been shown that the shortest loop provides an effective heuristic scheme to achieve prosperous and robust solutions for the concurrent design of the loop and input/output stations. We review and compare covering constraints formulations, provide new insight into connectivity constraints, improve the model formulation and its solution procedure, and report computational results. 相似文献

This paper addresses the production and delivery scheduling integration problem; a manufacturer receives − orders from one customer while the orders need to be processed on one or two machines and be sent to the customer in batches. Sending several jobs in batches will reduce the transportation cost but it may increase the number of tardy jobs. The objective is to minimize the sum of the total weighted number of tardy jobs and the delivery costs. The structural properties of the problem for a single machine and special cases of the two-machine flow shop problem are investigated and used to set up a new branch and bound algorithm. A heuristic algorithm for upper bound calculation and two approaches for lower bound calculation are also introduced. Results of computational tests show significant improvement over an existing dynamic programming method. 相似文献

In this article, we introduce and characterize approximate duality for g-frames. We get some important properties and applications of approximate duals. We also obtain some new results in approximate duality of frames, and generalize some of the known results in approximate duality of frames to g-frames. We also get some results for fusion frames, and perturbation of approximately dual g-frames. We show that approximate duals are stable under small perturbations and they are useful for erasures and reconstruction. 相似文献

The singular sources method is given to detect the shape of a thin infinitely cylindrical obstacle from a knowledge of the TM‐polarized scattered electromagnetic field in large distance. The basic idea is based on the singular behaviour of the scattered field of the incident point source on the cross‐section of the cylinder. We assume that the scatterer is a perfect conductor which is possibly coated by a material and investigate two models with different boundary conditions. In this article, the approximate amenability of semigroup algebra ?1(S) is investigated, where (S) is a uniformly locally finite inverse semigroup. Indeed, we show that for a uniformly locally finite inverse semigroup (S), the notions of amenability, approximate amenability and bounded approximate amenability of ?1(S) are equivalent. We use this to give a direct proof of the approximate amenability of ?1(S) for a Brandt semigroup (S). In the present study, a novel quantitative method, namely solid phase extraction, was applied to extract vitamin B12 from pharmaceutical formulations. The technique involves the use of graphene oxide (GO) as an efficient adsorbent for solid‐phase extraction of vitamin B12. Collection of GO from aqueous solution was simply achieved by applying filtration assembly. The extracted analyte was directly analyzed by using X‐ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy. Factors affecting the extraction efficiency were investigated and optimized. Under the optimum conditions, enhancement factor of 46, linear dynamic range of 25–1000 µg l?1 with correlation of determination (R2 = 0.998) and limit of detection of 20 µg l?1 were obtained for vitamin B12. The percent relative standard deviation based on three‐replicate determination was less than 8.1%. The method was successfully applied for extraction and determination of vitamin B12 in different types of pharmaceutical samples such as multivitamin tablet, effervescent tablet and injection sample. We investigate the synthesis of ammonia in a non-equilibrium atmospheric-pressure plasma using functionalized-nanodiamond and diamond-like-carbon coatings on α-Al2O3 spheres as catalysts. Oxygenated nanodiamonds were found to increase the production yield of ammonia, while hydrogenated nanodiamonds decreased the yield. Neither type of nanodiamond affected the plasma properties significantly. Using diffuse-reflectance FT-IR and XPS, the role of different functional groups on the catalyst surface was investigated. Evidence is presented that the carbonyl group is associated with an efficient surface adsorption and desorption of hydrogen in ammonia synthesis on the surface of the nanodiamonds, and an increased production of ammonia. Conformal diamond-like-carbon coatings, deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition, led to a plasma with a higher electron density, and increased the production of ammonia. 相似文献
