The STARTRACK experimental set-up, mounted on the +50° beam line of the Tandem-Alpi particle accelerator of Legnaro National Laboratories, has been conceived to give an experimental basis to nanodosimetric calculations. STARTRACK is based on a detection system able to measure ionization cluster distributions in a 20 nm propane site with a resolution of one ionization. The experimental layout has been designed to minimize pile-up distortions. The background noise is filtered by off-line dedicated software. Electron cluster distribution of 20 MeV protons has been measured. Monte Carlo data and experimental data are pretty well consistent.  相似文献

In this paper a proximal point algorithm (PPA) for maximal monotone operators with appropriate regularization parameters is considered. A strong convergence result for PPA is stated and proved under the general condition that the error sequence tends to zero in norm. Note that Rockafellar (SIAM J Control Optim 14:877–898, 1976) assumed summability for the error sequence to derive weak convergence of PPA in its initial form, and this restrictive condition on errors has been extensively used so far for different versions of PPA. Thus this Note provides a solution to a long standing open problem and in particular offers new possibilities towards the approximation of the minimum points of convex functionals.  相似文献

In this communication, γ‐phenyl‐γ‐butyrodithiolactone (DTL1) is presented as the first example of a new type of control agent. The styrene polymerization carried out at 60 °C in the presence of DTL1 exhibits living characteristics, without consuming DTL1 during the process. This unprecedented behavior was explained by a mechanism based on the reversible formation of a persistent radical adduct between the DTL1 and the polystyrene macroradicals.

Early and accurate detection of primary or metastatic tumors is of great value in staging, treatment management, and prognosis. Tumor angiogenesis plays an essential role in the growth, invasion, and metastatic spread of solid cancers, and so, is a promising approach for tumor imaging. The GX1 (CGNSNPKSC) peptide was identified by phage display library and has been investigated as a marker for human cancers. This study aims to evaluate the 99mTc-HYNIC-PEG4-c (GX1) as a biomarker for tumor imaging. Our results showed that GX1 specifically binds to tumor cells in vitro. SKMEL28 and MDA-MB231 cells achieved total binding peak at 60 min of incubation. For B16F10 and MKN45 cells, the total and specific binding were similar during all time points, while A549 cell line showed rapid cellular total uptake of the tracer at 30 min of incubation. Biodistribution showed low non-specific uptakes and rapid renal excretion. Melanoma tumors showed enhanced GX1 uptake in animal model at 60 min, and it was significantly blocked by cold peptide. The radiotracer showed tumor specificity, especially in melanomas that are highly vascularized tumors. In this sense, it should be considered in future studies, aiming to evaluate degree of angiogenesis, progression, and invasion of tumors.  相似文献

Silicapropylaniline nanometric materials with varying organic content were obtained using a sol-gel synthesis. By increasing the organic load, the scanning electron microscopy technique shows a slight increase in the average size of aggregated particles. N2 isotherms and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy measurements show that the average pore size decreases accompanied by a surface area reduction. FTIR thermal analysis was used to estimate the thermal stability of the organic phase and also to detect the presence of trapped organic groups in closed pores. From the organic coverage and surface area measurements the surface density of the immobilized organic molecules as well as the average intermolecular distance between them could be estimated.  相似文献

We study the magnetic properties of two new functionalized single-molecule magnets belonging to the Mn 6 family (general formula [Mn (III)6O2(R-sao)6(O2C-th)2L(4-6)], where R=H (1) or Et (2), HO2C-th=3-thiophene carboxylic acid, L=EtOH, H2O and saoH2 is salicylaldoxime) and their grafting on the Au(111) surface. Complex 1 exhibits spin ground-state S=4, as the result of ferromagnetic coupling between the two antiferromagnetic Mn (III) 3 triangles, while slight structural changes in complex 2, switch the dominant magnetic exchange interactions from anti- to ferromagnetic, enhancing the spin ground-state to S=12 and, consequently, the effective energy barrier for the relaxation of magnetization. Direct-current and alternating-current magnetic susceptibility measurements show that the functionalized complexes preserve the main magnetic properties of the corresponding not-functionalized Mn 6 clusters (i.e., total spin value and magnetic behavior as a function of temperature), though a reduction of the anisotropy barrier is observed in complex 2. For both complexes, the -O2C-th functionalization allows the direct grafting on Au(111) surface by liquid-phase deposition. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy demonstrates that the stoichiometry of the molecular cores is preserved after grafting. Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) reveals a sub-monolayer distribution of isolated clusters with a slightly higher coverage for complex 1. The cluster stability in the STM images and the S-2p energy positions demonstrate, for both derivatives, the strength of the grafting with the gold surface.  相似文献
