Stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) and thermal desorption (TD)–gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) have been optimized for the determination of five organic booster biocides (Chlorothalonil, Dichlofluanid, Sea-Nine 211, Irgarol 1051 and TCMTB) in seawater samples. The parameters affecting the desorption and absorption steps were investigated using 10 mL seawater samples. The optimised conditions consisted of an addition of 0.2 g mL−1 KCl to the sample, which was extracted with 10 mm length, 0.5 mm film thickness stir bars coated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and stirred at 900 rpm for 90 min at room temperature (25 °C) in a vial. Desorption was carried out at 280 °C for 5 min under 50 mL min−1 of helium flow in the splitless mode while maintaining a cryotrapping temperature of 20 °C in the programmed-temperature vaporization (PTV) injector of the GC–MS system. Finally, the PTV injector was ramped to a temperature of 280 °C and the analytes were separated in the GC and detected by MS using the selected-ion monitoring (SIM) mode. The detection limits of booster biocides were found to be in the range of 0.005–0.9 μg L−1. The regression coefficients were higher than 0.999 for all analytes. The average recovery was higher than 72% (R.S.D.: 7–15%). All these figures of merit were established running samples in triplicate. This simple, accurate, sensitive and selective analytical method may be used for the determination of trace amounts of booster biocides in water samples from marinas. 相似文献

Supramolecular main-chain liquid crystalline polymers and networks with competitive hydrogen bonding
A series of supramolecular polymers and networks with variable liquid crystalline characteristics have been created. These species are formed though the benzoic acid/pyridine associations of a flexible bisacid and a mixture of a rigid bispyridyl and a non-mesogenic tetrapyridyl. The networked systems displayed liquid crystalline characteristics up to and including 22.5% netpoint inclusion. Above this concentration, only crystalline and melting behaviours were observed. This observed phenomenon would seem to be linked to the statistical correlation of hydrogen bond acceptors and donors. There was also no observed phase segregation of the species after multiple heat/cool cycles and extended periods of time in the isotropic state. This would indicate that the thermodynamically more stable mesogenic phase cannot out-compete the non-liquid crystalline network. Treatment of germacrone ( 1 ) with different electrophiles, and of its epoxy derivatives germacrone‐4,5‐epoxide ( 2 ), germacrone‐1,10‐epoxide ( 3 ) and isogermacrone‐4,5‐epoxide ( 4 ) with Brönsted/Lewis acids and TiIII, gives rise to a great structural diversity. Thus, by using a maximum of two steps, the production of more than 40 compounds corresponding to 14 skeletons is described. Computational calculations rationalizing the structural divergence produced are also described. We consider the numerical approximation of the weak solutions of the two‐layer shallow‐water equations. The model under consideration is made of two usual one‐layer shallow‐water model coupled by nonconservative products. Because of the nonconservative products of the system, which couple both one‐layer shallow‐water subsystems, the usual numerical methods have to consider the full model. Of course, uncoupled numerical techniques, just involving finite volume schemes for the basic shallow‐water equations, are very attractive since they are very easy to implement and they are costless. Recently, a stable layer splitting technique was introduced [Bouchut and Morales de Luna, M2AN Math Model Numer Anal 42 (2008), 683–698]. In the same spirit, we exhibit new splitting technique, which is proved to be well balanced and non‐negative preserving. New pyranoid ε‐sugar amino acids were designed as building blocks, in which the carboxylic acid and the amine groups were placed in positions C2 and C3 with respect to the tetrahydropyran oxygen atom. By using standard solution‐phase coupling procedures, cyclic homooligomers containing pyranoid ε‐sugar amino acids were synthesized. Conformation analysis was performed by using NMR spectroscopic experiments, FTIR spectroscopic studies, X‐ray analysis, and a theoretical conformation search. These studies reveal that the presence of a methoxy group in the position C4 of the pyran ring produces an important structural change in the cyclodipeptides. When the methoxy groups are present, the structure collapses through interresidue hydrogen bonds between the oxygen atoms of the pyran ring and the amide protons. However, when the cyclodipeptide lacks the methoxy groups, a U‐shape structure is adopted, in which there is a hydrophilic concave face with four oxygen atoms and two amide protons directed toward the center of the cavity. Additionally, we found important evidence of the key role played by weak electrostatic interactions, such as the five‐membered hydrogen‐bonded pseudocycles (C5) between the amide protons and the ether oxygen atoms, in the conformation equilibrium of the macrocycles and in the cyclization step of the cyclic tetrapeptides. 相似文献

In this work, polymeric biocomposites of poly (butylene adipate-co-terephthalate), PBAT, were reinforced with Munguba fibers (Pseudobombax munguba). This tree is found in great abundance in the marshy areas of the Amazon forest. The motivation for using this fiber in polymer composites comes from the fact that although research for this fiber has not been reported in the scientific literature, it is commonly used by the local population because its bark is strong and flexible. Most important is that the extraction of Munguba fibers does not damage the supplier tree because as it is extracted from the bark, its regeneration starts as it is removed. The fibers were chemically treated by mercerization/acetylation and evaluated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and tensile tests. The Munguba fiber presented mechanical properties similar to those of other natural fibers traditionally used in composites, and the chemical treatment provided improvements of its thermal stability and stiffness. The biocomposites showed a better elastic modulus in relation to the pure PBAT. The addition of fibers caused changes in the T g, T m and T c of PBAT as observed by differential scanning calorimetry analysis. The Russel, Halpin-Tsai and Maxwell models were employed to provide the theoretical elastic modulus of the biocomposites. 相似文献
