Study of magnetite nanoparticles, as-prepared and dispersed in Copaiba oil as magnetic fluid, by means of magnetic measurement and Mössbauer spectroscopy at various temperatures demonstrated differences in the saturation magnetization and Mössbauer hyperfine parameters which were related to the interactions of Copaiba oil polar molecules with iron cations on magnetite nanoparticle’s surface.  相似文献

In continuation of recent studies, we discuss two constructive approaches for the generation of harmonic conjugates to find null solutions to the Riesz system in . This class of solutions coincides with the subclass of monogenic functions with values in the reduced quaternions. Our first algorithm for harmonic conjugates is based on special systems of homogeneous harmonic and monogenic polynomials, whereas the second one is presented by means of an integral representation. Some examples of function spaces illustrating the techniques involved are given. More specifically, we discuss the (monogenic) Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball in consisting of functions with values in the reduced quaternions. We end up proving the boundedness of the underlying harmonic conjugation operators in certain weighted spaces. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper describes the ability of several ionic liquids cations for electroosmotic flow modulation in capillary electrophoresis. Organic salts based on phosphonium, sulfonium, cysteinium, ammonium, and guanidinium cations were selected to study this property. In addition, the synergistic effect of these compounds in cyclodextrin chiral separation was also evaluated. In comparison with most studied imidazolium-based ionic liquids, several of the cations studied, are stronger modifiers in terms of electroosmotic flow (EOF) modulation. Phosphonium-based compounds and tri-octyl methylammonium chloride ([Aliquat]Cl) had the strongest ability to reverse EOF both in acidic and in basic conditions and had the lowest EOF reversal concentrations in the presence of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin. EOF modulation ability of phosphonium cations also contributed to the improvement of chiral separation of DL-propranolol by hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin at lower concentrations in comparison with most commonly used EOF modulators such as tetrabutylammonium phosphate.  相似文献

From an endophytic strain of Gliocladium sp. isolated from the Amazonian plant Strychnos cf. toxifera, we obtained the diketopiperazine alkaloid cyclo-(glycyl-L-tyrosyl)-4,4-dimethylallyl ether (1), the steroids ergosterol (2), ergosterol peroxide (3), cerevisterol (4) and the citric acid (5). The AcOEt extract of the fermented broth by Gliocladium sp. showed potent activity against the cancer cell lines MDA-MB435 (human breast cancer cells), HCT-8 (human colorectal cancer cells) and SF-295 (human glioblastoma cancer cells). Compound 1 exhibited a strong antimicrobial activity against Micrococcus luteus at a concentration of 43.4?μM.  相似文献

The Combretaceae is a large family of herbs, shrubs and trees, comprising about 20 genera and 600 species with tropical distribution around the globe and centers of diversity in Africa and Asia. Some Combretum species are extensively used in traditional medicine against inflammation, infections, diabetes, malaria, bleeding, diarrhea and digestive disorders and others as a diuretic. The present work is a literature survey of Combretum species that have been evaluated for their ability to exert biological activities. A total number of 36 Combretum species are discussed with regard to plant parts used, component tested and bioassay models. This review is of fundamental importance to promoting studies on Combretum species, thereby contributing to the development of new therapeutic alternatives that may improve the health of people suffering from various health problems.  相似文献

A headspace solid phase microextraction coupled to gas chromatography with electron capture detector (HS-SPME-GC-ECD) method was optimized for the determination of seven chlorophenols (CPs) with different levels of chlorination. This is the first time that HS-SPME-GC-ECD with acetylation of the analytes is used for the simultaneous determination of CPs in water samples. The influence of fibre type, derivatization conditions, salt addition, temperature and time of extraction and temperature of desorption was checked. Possible sources of contamination and analyte losses were considered. The best results were obtained with the polydimethylsiloxane/divinylbenzene fibre, derivatization by acetylation using 100 μL of acetic anhydride and 0.1 g of anhydrous sodium carbonate per 10 mL of sample, salt addition of 100 g L−1 sodium chloride, extraction at 70 °C for 60 min and desorption in the GC injector at 260 °C for 6 min. The limits of detection (LOD) for monochlorophenols were 12 and 122 ng L−1 for 2-chlorophenol and 4-chlorophenol, respectively. For polychlorinated CPs, the LODs were lower than 6 ng L−1, values similar to the existing methods that use SPME with derivatization for CPs determination in water samples. The method is suitable for the determination of CPs in most environmental aqueous samples. Repeatability and reproducibility were less than 16.8% and 11.7%, respectively. The optimized method was successfully applied for the analysis of waters with complex matrices such as river and estuarine water samples.  相似文献

The imposition of more stringent legislation by CETESB in the State of São Paulo (Brazil) governing the disposal and utilization of sewage sludge, coupled with the growth in its generation has prompted a drive for alternative uses of sewage sludge. One option that is especially promising, due to its potential to valorize sludge, is its conversion into carbonaceous adsorbents or coke for industrial effluents treatment. Thus, a methodology is presented to estimate the coke produced from the sludge of a sewage treatment station using thermal analysis. The used sewage sludge, which comes from aerobic treatment, was collected in the wastewater treatment station of Barueri, one of the largest of the São Paulo metropolitan area. The sludge samples were collected, dried, ground, and milled until they passed an ABNT 200 sieve. The inert ambient used during its thermal treatment produces inorganic matter and coke as residual materials. Coke formation occurs in the 200–500 °C range and, between 500 and 900 °C, its thermal decomposition occurs. The highest formation of coke occurs at 500 °C.  相似文献

The paper reports on the successful use of the quartz crystal microbalance technique to assess accurate kinetics and equilibrium parameters regarding the investigation of in situ adsorption of nanosized cobalt ferrite particles (CoFe(2)O(4)--10.5 nm-diameter) onto two different surfaces. Firstly, a single layer of nanoparticles was deposited onto the surface provided by the gold-coated quartz resonator functionalized with sodium 3-mercapto propanesulfonate (3-MPS). Secondly, the layer-by-layer (LbL) technique was used to build multilayers in which the CoFe(2)O(4) nanoparticle-based layer alternates with the sodium sulfonated polystyrene (PSS) layer. The adsorption experiments were conducted by modulating the number of adsorbed CoFe(2)O(4)/PSS bilayers (n) and/or by changing the CoFe(2)O(4) nanoparticle concentration while suspended as a stable colloidal dispersion. Adsorption of CoFe(2)O(4) nanoparticles onto the 3-MPS-functionalized surface follows perfectly a first order kinetic process in a wide range (two orders of magnitude) of nanoparticle concentrations. These data were used to assess the equilibrium constant and the adsorption free energy. Alternatively, the Langmuir adsorption constant was obtained while analyzing the isotherm data at the equilibrium. Adsorption of CoFe(2)O(4) nanoparticles while growing multilayers of CoFe(2)O(4)/PSS was conducted using colloidal suspensions with CoFe(2)O(4) concentration in the range of 10(-8) to 10(-6) (moles of cobalt ferrite per litre) and for different numbers of cycles n = 1, 3, 5, and 10. We found the adsorption of CoFe(2)O(4) nanoparticles within the CoFe(2)O(4)/PSS bilayers perfectly following a first order kinetic process, with the characteristic rate constant growing with the increase of CoFe(2)O(4) nanoparticle concentration and decreasing with the rise of the number of LbL cycles (n). Additionally, atomic force microscopy was employed for assessing the LbL film roughness and thickness. We found the film thickness increasing from about 20 to 120 nm while shifting from 3 to 10 CoFe(2)O(4)/PSS bilayers, using the 8.9 × 10(-6) (moles of cobalt ferrite per litre) suspension.  相似文献

Nanosized maghemite (below 10 nm average diameter), surface-functionalized with meso-2,3-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA), was investigated with respect to the content of DMSA molecules attached onto its surface and the onset of S-S bridges due to oxidation of neighboring S-H groups. To support our investigation, we introduced the use of photoacoustic spectroscopy to monitor thiol groups (S-H) conjugated with Raman spectroscopy to monitor the disulfide bridges (S-S). The normalized intensity (N(R)) of the Raman feature peaking at 500 cm(-1) was used to probe the S-S bridge whereas the normalized intensity (N(P)) of the photoacoustic band-S (0.42-0.65 μm) was used to probe the S-H moiety. The perfect linearity observed in the N(R) versus (1 - N(P)) plot strongly supports the oxidation process involving neighboring S-H groups as the DMSA surface grafting coefficient increases whereas the approach used in this report allows the evaluation of the [S-H]/[S-S] ratio. The observation of the reduction of the hydrodynamic diameter as the nominal DMSA-grafting increases supports the proposed model picture, in which the intraparticle (interparticle) S-S bridging takes place at higher (lower) DMSA-grafting values.  相似文献
