Polyacrylonitrile-co-methacrylic acid (PAN-co-MAA) and cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) composite films were produced with up to 40 wt% CNC loading through the solution casting method. The rheological properties of the solution/suspensions and the structural, optical, thermal, and mechanical properties of the resulting films were investigated. The viscosity of the composite suspensions increased with higher CNC loadings and with longer aging times. PAN-co-MAA/CNC films maintained a similar level of optical transparency even with up to 40 wt% CNC loading. The glass transition temperature (Tg) increased from 92 to 118 °C, and the composites had higher thermal stability below 350 °C compared to both neat PAN-co-MAA and neat CNC. The mechanical properties also increased with higher CNC loadings, elastic modulus increased from 2.2 to 3.7 GPa, tensile strength increased from 75 to 132 MPa, and the storage modulus increased from 3.9 to 10.5 GPa. Using the Kelly and Tyson model the interfacial shear strength between the PAN-co-MAA and CNC was calculated to be 27 MPa. 相似文献

We describe a method for the simultaneous determination of antiepileptic drugs (ethosuccimide, phenytoin, primidone, phenobarbital, carbamazepine and valproic acid) by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography using sodium dodecyl sulphate as the micellar phase. Factors affecting the micellar electrokinetic separation were studied for the quantitative determination of these drugs in human plasma. The confirmation of the peaks and the specificity of the method were investigated by combining multiwavelength detection with micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography. 相似文献

A disk-type solid-phase extraction (SPE) method was used for the extraction of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) in natural water and tap water. Since this SPE system comprised airtight glass covers with a decompression pump, it enabled continuous extraction with semi-automation. The disk-type SPE method was validated by comparing its recovery rates of spiked internal standards with those of the liquid-liquid extraction (LLE). The recovery ranges of both methods were similar in terms of (13)C-labeled internal standards: 64.3-99.2% for the LLE and 52.4-93.6% for the SPE. For the native spike of 1,3,6,8-tetrachlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) and octachlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (OCDD), the recoveries in the SPE were in the normal range of 77.9-101.1%. However, in the LLE, the recoveries of 1,3,6,8-TCDD decreased significantly. One of the reasons for the low recovery is that the solubility of this congener is high. The semi-automated SPE method was applied to the analysis of different types of water: river water, snow, sea water, raw water for drinking purposes, and tap water. PCDD/F congeners were found in some sea water and snow samples, while their concentrations in the other samples were below the limits of detection (LODs). Two multidentate ditopic ligands L1 and L2 which contain both N-donor and crown ether units have been synthesised. The potentially octadentate ligand L1 forms a trinuclear heterometallic double helicate with Cu(I) and Zn(II) ([Zn2Cu(L1)2](5+)), whereas L2 forms a tetranuclear heterometallic double helicate with the same metal ions ([Zn2Cu2(L2)2](6+)). Both species have been characterised by (1)H NMR, ESI-MS and single crystal X-ray crystallography. Reaction of [Zn2Cu2(L2)2](6+) with Ba(2+) results in the coordination of the crown ether units giving the simple barium coordinated species [Zn2Cu2(L2)2Ba2](10+). However, reaction of [Zn2Cu(L1)2](5+) with Ba(2+) deprograms the ligand and results in the formation of a mixture of species. 相似文献

A gas chromatography/mass spectrometric (GC/MS) method was developed and validated for the determination of thirteen psychotropic phenylalkylamine derivatives (amphetamine; AP, phentermine; PT, methamphamine; MA, cathinone; Khat, methcathinone; MCAT, fenfluramine; FFA, desmethylselegiline; DSEL, 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine; MDA, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine; MDMA, 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine; MDEA, norketamine; NKT, mescaline; MES, 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine; 2CB) in human hair. Hair samples (20 mg) were washed with distilled water and acetone, cut into small fragments (<1 mm), and incubated in 0.25 M methanolic HCl under ultrasonication at 50 degrees C for 1 h. The resulting solutions were evaporated to dryness, derivatized using trifluoroacetic anhydride (TFAA) at 70 degrees C for 30 min, and analyzed by GC/MS. The linear ranges were 0.02-25.0 ng/mg for AP, PT, Khat, FFA, DSEL, MDMA, and 2CB; 0.05-25.0 ng/mg for MA, MCAT, and MES; 0.05-12.5 ng/mg for MDA; and 0.1-25.0 ng/mg for MDEA and NKT, with good correlation coefficients (r(2) > 0.9985). The intra-day, inter-day, and inter-person precisions were within 12.7%, 14.8%, and 16.8%, respectively. The intra-day, inter-day, and inter-person accuracies were between -10.7 and 13.4%, -12.7 and 11.6%, and -15.3 and 11.9%, respectively. The limits of quantifications (LOQs) for each compound were lower than 0.08 ng/mg. The recoveries were in the range of 76.7-95.6%. The method proved to be suitable for the simultaneous qualification and quantification of phenylalkylamine derivatives in hair specimens. 相似文献

A quantitative method was developed for the determination of phosphatidylcholine (PC) species concentration using nanoflow LC-ESI-MS/MS. In this study, a calibration method is developed to determine the effect of PC carbon chain length on MS peak intensity. Using the multiple standard addition method, a relationship between the peak intensities of different PC species from nanoflow LC-MS and carbon chain length is established first using different injection amounts of PC standards. From this relationship, a calibration curve for each carbon chain length can be obtained for the concentration calculation. It was found that the MS peak area of PC species analyzed by nanoflow LC-MS linearly decreased with increased acyl carbon numbers, and that the effect of the degree of acyl chain unsaturation on MS peak intensity was minimized when the injection amount was maintained at less than 1 pmol. The method was applied for the quantitative calculation of 34 PC species from rat liver, which were identified from data-dependent MS/MS analysis during nanoflow LC separation. 相似文献

The porous activated carbons (ACs) were prepared from corn grains through physical (steam) and chemical–physical (H3PO4‐steam) activations. The effects of steam activation temperature (700–900 °C) on pore development, surface roughness, and energetic heterogeneity were investigated in both activations. Also, the effect of prior carbonization on H3PO4‐steam activation was studied. The physical properties, surface fractal dimensions, and adsorption energy distributions of ACs were determined from nitrogen adsorption–desorption isotherm data. Both physical and chemical–physical activations show that the AC with higher surface area, relatively smoother surface, and energetically heterogeneous surface could be produced at a maximum steam activation temperature (900 °C). Fine particles in air have a direct influence on human health because they carry toxic chemicals that can be deposited in the human lung when inhaled. Thus, particle size distribution and size dependent level of contamination of the airborne particles are important parameters for the study and assessment of environmental pollution. In this study, gravitational split-flow thin (SPLITT) fractionation (or GSF), a semi-preparative scale separation technique for particles, was applied for the continuous size sorting of airborne particles collected in urban area. About 2.0 g of airborne particles was fractionated into four different size intervals (<1.5, 1.5-2.5, 2.5-5.0, and >5.0 microm), and the collected fractions were examined by electron microscopy for particle size distribution and analyzed for the size dependent levels of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans (PCDD/Fs). It was found that more than 60% of particles including dissolved matters in weight were smaller than 5.0 microm and they contained more than 86% of the total PCDD/Fs amount in airborne particles. 相似文献
