Interfacial tension has been determined for phosphatidylcholine-stearic acid and phosphatidylcholine-stearylamine membranes. Phosphatidylcholine, stearic acid and stearylamine were used in the experimental. The interfacial tension values of the pure components are 1.62x10(-3) N/m, - 1.54x10(-2) N/m and 4.40x10(-3) N/m (hypothetical values), respectively. The 1:1 complexes were formed during formation of phosphatidylcholine-stearic acid and phosphatidylcholine-stearylamine membranes. The following parameters describing the complexes were determined: the surface concentrations of the lipid membranes formed from these complexes, A(3)(-1), the interfacial tensions of such membranes, gamma(3) and the stability constants of these complexes, K.  相似文献

Cholesterol oxidase (ChOx), cholesterol esterase (ChEt), and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) have been co-immobilized covalently on a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (AEAPTS) deposited on an indium–tin–oxide (ITO) glass surface. These enzyme-modified (ChOx-ChEt-HRP/AEAPTS/ITO) biosensing electrodes have been used to estimate cholesteryl oleate from 10 to 500 mg dL−1. The sensitivity, K m value, and shelf-life of these ChEt-ChOx-HRP/AEAPTS/ITO biosensing electrodes have been found to be 124 nA mg−1 dL, 95.098 mg dL−1 (1.46 mmol L−1), and ten weeks, respectively. The ChEt-ChOx-HRP/AEAPTS/ITO bio-electrodes have been used to estimate total cholesterol in serum samples. Plants of the genus Agrimonia L. perfectly fit the current trends in nutrition and food technology, namely, the need for raw materials with a high content of bioactive natural compounds, including polyphenols, which could be added to food. The composition of polyphenolics, including agrimoniin and flavonoids, in the aerial parts of Agrimonia procera Wallr. (A. procera) and Agrimonia eupatoria L. (A. eupatoria) (Rosaceae) was determined using HPLC-DAD-MS. The polyphenolic content of A. procera was found to be 3.9%, 3.2%, 2.9%, 1.8% and 1.1%, and that of A. eupatoria was determined to be 1.3%, 0.3%, 0.9%, 0.6% and 0.5% in the dry matter of leaves, stems, fruits, seeds and hypanthia, respectively. Except for A. procera hypanthia, agrimoniin was the main polyphenolic compound in the aerial parts of the studied Agrimonia species. Both plants are also a valuable source of flavonoid glycosides, especially apigenin, luteolin and quercetin. The obtained data indicate that both A. procera and A. eupatoria are potentially good sources of polyphenols (albeit significantly different in terms of their qualitative and quantitative composition), and may not only be a medicinal raw material, but also a valuable material for food use such as nutraceuticals or functional food ingredients.  相似文献

The recommended pharmacological therapy for patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) treated by coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). To improve the antiplatelet effect, supplementation with flavonoids is also recommended. The aim of this study was to estimate anti-aggregation properties of diosmin, in combination with ASA, pre- and postoperatively and assess the relationship of this therapy with inflammatory processes in CAD patients undergoing CABG. The study patients (n = 26) took diosmin (1000 mg/day); the control patients (n = 27) took a placebo. The therapeutic period for taking diosmin was from at least 30 days before to 30 days after CABG. All patients also took 75 mg/day ASA. Platelet aggregation and IL-6, CRP, and fibrinogen concentrations were determined before and 30 days after surgery. Results showed that diosmin did not enhance the anti-aggregation effect of ASA at any assessment time. However, there was a stronger anti-aggregation effect 30 days after surgery that was diosmin independent and was associated with acute-phase markers in the postoperative period. Increased levels of inflammatory markers in the late phase of the postoperative period may provide an unfavorable prognostic factor in long-term follow-up, which should prompt the use of stronger antiplatelet therapy in patients after CABG.  相似文献

In this work, nanocomposite graphitic carbon nitride/biochar is successfully prepared by physical mixing method to achieve efficient charge separation and photodegradation of RhB dye under sunlight. The biochar is synthesized by heating biomass in muffle furnace in an inert atmosphere. The graphitic carbon nitride is prepared using melamine as a precursor and heating it in a muffle furnace in air atmosphere. The structural characterizations FTIR and X-ray diffraction are done to confirm the functional groups and crystallography of prepared samples. The photodegradation of RhB dye by nanocomposite is analyzed using a UV–visible spectrophotometer under solar irradiation. It is found that the RhB dye is completely reduced by the nanocomposite in less than 6 min in the presence of sunlight. The kinetic study confirms the photodegradation of RhB dye is first order reaction and rate constant is found to be 0.31 min−1.  相似文献

Summary: In the present work, various surface modifications have been applied to titanium surface. The aim of the modifications was to improve cell adhesion and to determine their influence on the properties of titanium surface. The unmodified and modified surfaces were observed using SEM. Subtle changes in modified surface layer of titanium samples were examined using the Auger Electron Microanalysis and Photoelectron Spectroscopy. The properties of surfaces were evaluated by contact angle and roughness measurements. The results revealed large differences in morphology of Ti modified with different procedures whereas only minor differences in the chemistry of the surfaces were detected. Preliminary quantitative measurements (cell number, viability and differentiation) of the MG 63 osteoblast-like cells in the direct contact with the surface of the investigated materials show that both the not pre-treated titanium surface and the surfaces modified by the methods used in the this work are all well tolerated by the living cells. Within the experimental scatter all the surfaces provided good substrate for proliferation and growth of the cells.  相似文献
