Methyl methacrylate and styrene copolymers containing pendant benzil groups, such as 1-[4-(2-methacroyloxyethoxy)phenyl]-2-phenyl-1,2-ethanedione-co-methyl metacrylate (BzMA/MMA), 1-[4-(2-methacroyloxyethoxy)phenyl]-2-phenyl-1,2-ethanedione-co-styrene (BzMA/S), and 1-phenyl-2-(4-propenoylphenyl)-1,2-ethanedione-co-styrene (PCOCO/S), were prepared and used as precursors for photochemically generated pendant benzoyl peroxides. Decomposition of the pendant benzoyl peroxides was subsequently used in grafting processes. Either irradiation or a combination of irradiation with subsequent thermal treatment was adopted for grafting a thin layer of BzMA/MMA copolymer onto the surface of LDPE films. The grafting resulted in a significant decrease in contact angle of the film surface. The same activation strategy was successfully adopted to initiate the polymerisation of acrylic or methacrylic acids from the surface of styrene copolymer films containing the initiator precursor in the polymer side chains (BzMA/S and PCOCO/S). The successful surface grafting was proved by contact angles measurement as well as by infrared spectroscopic analysis.  相似文献

The support material can play an important role in oxidation catalysis, notably for CO oxidation. Here, we study two materials of the Brownmillerite family, CaFeO2.5 and SrFeO2.5, as one example of a stoichiometric phase (CaFeO2.5, CFO) and one existing in different modifications (SrFeO2.75, SrFeO2.875 and SrFeO3, SFO). The two materials are synthesized using two synthesis methods, one bottom-up approach via a complexation route and one top-down method (electric arc fusion), allowing to study the impact of the specific surface area on the oxygen mobility and catalytic performance. CO oxidation on 18O-exchanged materials shows that oxygen from SFO participates in the reaction as soon as the reaction starts, while for CFO, this onset takes place 185 °C after reaction onset. This indicates that the structure of the support material has an impact on the catalytic performance. We report here on significant differences in the catalytic activity linked to long-term stability of CFO and SFO, which is an important parameter not only for possible applications, but equally to better understand the mechanism of the catalytic activity itself.  相似文献

Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) is utilized to study the solution-solid interface formed between Au(111) and solutions of coronene in hexanoic, heptanoic, and octanoic acids. In all three cases adsorbed coronene is observed and lays flat on the metal surface. Heptanoic and hexanoic acid solutions produce a hexagonal symmetry monolayer. For the heptanoic and hexanoic cases, dipole-image dipole interactions and H bonding stabilize a surface structure in which 12 acid molecules surround each coronene and produce a coronene spacing of 1.45 nm. In the case of octanoic acid as solvent, the incorporation of the solvent into the monolayer is not as strongly favored. The coronene spacing can range from close-packed (1.2 nm) with no solvent presumed present in the monolayer, to 1.50 nm with up to 12 solvent molecules surrounding each coronene. The close-packed regions have hexagonal symmetry, as do those with the largest (1.5 nm) spacing. Heptanoic acid solutions give the clearest STM images and are associated with the most stable two-component monolayer. The present paper demonstrates that non-covalent interactions at the solution-metal interface can lead to complex multicomponent monolayer structures.  相似文献

Vertically aligned ZnO nanorods (NR) are prepared by two different syntheses methods and applied on polymer solar cells (PSCs). The ZnO electrodes work as the electron transport layer with the P3HT:PCBM blend acting as the active material. Several organic blend solution conditions are optimized: concentration, solvent, and deposition speed. The effect of different NR electrode morphologies is analyzed on the solar cell performance and characterized by current–voltage curves and IPCE analyses. The photovoltaic performance of the solar cells was observed to be influenced by many factors, among them infiltration of the organic P3HT:PCBM blend within the ZnO NR layer. The infiltration of the active layer was monitored by cross section SEM and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analyses. Our results show that higher power conversion efficiencies are achieved when shorter NRs lengths are applied. The best power conversion efficiency obtained was 2.0% for a 400 nm ZnO NR electrode. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part B: Polym Phys, 2013  相似文献

Enantiomerically pure (S)-mandelic acid was synthesised from benzaldehyde by sequential hydrocyanation and hydrolysis in a bienzymatic cascade at starting concentrations up to 0.25 M. A cross-linked enzyme aggregate (CLEA) composed of the (S)-selective oxynitrilase from Manihot esculenta and the non-selective nitrilase from Pseudomonas fluorescens EBC 191 was employed as the biocatalyst. The nitrilase produces approx. equal amounts of (S)-mandelic acid and (S)-mandelic amide from (S)-mandelonitrile under standard conditions, but we surprisingly found that high (up to 0.5 M) concentrations of HCN induced a marked drift towards amide production. By including the amidase from Rhodococcus erythopolis in the CLEA we obtained (S)-mandelic acid as the sole product in 90% yield and >99% enantiomeric purity.  相似文献

In this paper, we systematically address the performance of cellulose nanocrystals (CNs) coated flexible food packaging films. Firstly, the morphology of CNs from cotton linters and homogeneity of its coating on different substrates were characterized by transmission electronic microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Then, the 1.5 μm thick CNs coating on polyethylene terephthalate (PET), oriented polypropylene, oriented polyamide (OPA), and cellophane films were characterized for their mechanical, optical, anti-fog, and barrier properties. CNs coating reduces the coefficient of friction while maintaining high transparency (~90 %) and low haze (3–4 %) values, and shows excellent anti-fog properties and remarkable oxygen barrier (oxygen permeability coefficient of CNs coating, P’O2, 0.003 cm3 μm m?2 24 h?1 kPa?1). In addition, the Gelbo flex test combined with oxygen permeance (PO2) measurements and optical microscopy are firstly reported for evaluating the durability of coatings, revealing that the CNs coated PET and OPA provide the best performance among the investigated coated films. CNs are therefore considered to be a promising multi-functional coating for flexible food packaging.  相似文献

Using a majorization technique that identifies the maximal and minimal vectors of a variety of subsets of ${\mathbb{R}^{n}}$ , we find upper and lower bounds for the Kirchhoff index K(G) of an arbitrary simple connected graph G that improve those existing in the literature. Specifically we show that $$K(G) \geq \frac{n}{d_{1}} \left[ \frac{1}{1+\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n-1}}} + \frac{(n-2)^{2}}{n-1-\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n-1}}}\right] ,$$ where d 1 is the largest degree among all vertices in G, $$\sigma ^{2} = \frac{2}{n} \sum_{(i, j) \in E} \frac{1}{d_{i}d_{j}} = \left( \frac{2}{n}\right) R_{-1}(G),$$ and R ?1(G) is the general Randi? index of G for ${\alpha =-1}$ . Also we show that $$K(G) \leq \frac{n}{d_{n}}\left( \frac{n-k-2}{1-\lambda _{2}}+\frac{k}{2}+\frac{1}{\theta}\right) ,$$ where d n is the smallest degree, ${\lambda _{2}}$ is the second eigenvalue of the transition probability of the random walk on G, $$k = \left \lfloor \frac{\lambda _{2} \left( n-1\right) +1}{\lambda _{2}+1}\right\rfloor {\rm and}\quad\theta = \lambda _{2} \left( n-k-2\right) -k+2.$$   相似文献

A variety of allylic and propargylic esters were rapidly prepared via microwave heating of their corresponding mixed anhydride derived from pivaloyl chloride. The reaction conditions were modified to account for the sterics of the alcohol and the electronics of the carboxylic acid.
