Through batch equilibrium experiments, hydroxypropyl substituted α, β, and γ cyclodextrin (CDs) were shown to greatly increase the apparent solubility of eight common polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in aqueous solutions. Equations based on the volume fraction of solution composed of water and CDs have been developed to determine guest phase distribution. Based on these equations, the results of this and similar studies for CD showed that a log–log relationship exists between the fraction of CD occupied with a guest organic compound and the aqueous solubility of those guests (rsq 0.980). Analysis of potential quantitative structure property relationship (QSPR) found strong correlations between structural properties of the guests (e.g. aqueous solubility, octanol/water partitioning coefficient, molar volume, molecular surface area, and polarizability) and water/CD partitioning coefficients, phase distribution of the PAH between water and CD phases, and the fraction of CD molecules occupied with a guest PAH. Noteworthy among these, is the inverse relationship between the log of the fraction of CD molecules occupied under saturated conditions and the ratio of the molar volume of the PAH to the volume of the CD cavities (rsq for α, β, and γ: 0.887–0.892). Comparisons of the three CDs shows that while the size of the guest compound reduces its propensity to enter into the CD cavity, the effect of the guest size is lessened as the width of the CD ring increases. Development of these QSPR correlations provides a means to predict and evaluate guest/CD interactions for homologous series of compounds.  相似文献

We present the pseudostate-close-coupling method using a non-orthogonal Laguerre-L2 basis function for the calculations of electron-helium scattering. Our method is a frozen-core model of the target in which one of the electrons is restricted to the 1s He+ orbital, as has been used with great success recently. We demonstrate its applicability at a range of projectile energies of 5 to 50 eV to scattering from the ground state to n 2 states. Generally good agreement with experiments and the other calculations is obtained with the available differential and total cross-sections. On occasion, there is not good agreement with experiments, particularly at the forward and backward angles for projectile energy in the range 30 to 50 eV.  相似文献

(Cyclopentadienone)iron tricarbonyl complexes are catalytically active, inexpensive, easily accessible and air-stable that are extensively studied as an active pre-catalyst in homogeneous catalysis. Its versatile catalytic activity arises exclusively due to the presence of a non-innocent ligand, which can trigger its unique redox properties effectively. These complexes have been employed widely in (transfer)hydrogenation (e. g., reduction of polar multiple bonds, Oppenauer-type oxidation of alcohols), C−C and C−N bond formation (e. g., reductive aminations, α-alkylation of ketones) and other synthetic transformations. In this review, we discuss the remarkable advancement of its various synthetic applications along with synthesis and mechanistic studies, until February 2021.  相似文献

The stereoselective synthesis of 2-isoxazolidine through 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of nitrile oxide, which is in situ generation from aldoxime in the presence of N-bromosuccinamide and solid-supported reagent KF/Al2O3 at room temperature, is reported. KF/Al2O3 is sufficiently basic such that it can replace organic bases such as Et3N used in typical procedures and it catalyses the reaction to enhance the rate of the reaction.  相似文献

The interaction of submicellar concentrations of various physiologically important unconjugated [sodium deoxycholate (NaDC), sodium cholate (NaC)] and conjugated [sodium glycodeoxycholate (NaGDC), sodium glycocholate (NaGC), sodium taurodeoxycholate (NaTDC), sodium taurocholate (NaTC)] bile salts with dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) and dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) small unilamellar vesicles in solid gel (SG) and liquid crystalline (LC) phases was investigated using the excited-state prototropism of 1-naphthol. Steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence of the two excited-state prototropic forms of 1-naphthol indicate that submicellar bile salt concentration induces hydration of the lipid bilayer membrane into the core region. This hydration effect is a general phenomenon of the bile salts studied. The bilayer hydration efficiency of the bile salt follows the order NaDC > NaC > NaGDC > NaTDC > NaGC > NaTC for both DPPC and DMPC vesicles in their SG and LC phases.  相似文献

In this work, we consider a frustrated two-leg spin-1/2 ladder composed of Heisenberg ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 chains, and nearest spins from different legs interact via Heisenberg type rung exchange interactions that can be either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic in nature. The competing exchange interactions in the system lead to five different quantum phases like ferromagnetic, non-collinear ferrimagnetic (NCF), , antiferromagnetic and dimer phases. The  quantum phase diagram is constructed for the Heisenberg spin-1/2 model and the phases are characterized using the correlation functions which are calculated by the density matrix renormalization group method. We also analyze the  stability of phase and calculate the pitch angle in the NCF phase.  相似文献
