The synthesis and electrochemical, optical, and ion-sensing properties of ferrocene-imidazophenazine dyads are presented. Dyad 4 behaves as a highly selective chemosensor molecule for Pb(2+) cations in CH(3)-CN/H(2)O (9:1). The emission spectrum (λ(exc) = 317 nm) undergoes an important chelation-enhanced fluorescence effect (CHEF = 47) in the presence of Pb(2+) cations, a new low-energy band appeared at 502 nm, in its UV/vis spectrun, and the oxidation redox peak is anodically shifted (ΔE(1/2) = 230 mV). The presence of Hg(2+) cations also induced a perturbation of the redox potencial although in less extension than those found with Pb(2+) cations. Dyad 7, bearing two fused pyridine rings, has shown its ability for sensing Hg(2+) cations selectively through three channels: electrochemical, optical, and fluorescent; the oxidation redox peak is anodically shifted (ΔE(1/2) = 200 mV), a new low-energy band of the absorption spectrum appeared at 485 nm, and the emission spectrum (λ(exc) = 340 nm) is red-shifted by 32 nm accompanied by a remarkable chelation-enhanced fluorescent effect (CHEF = 165). Linear sweep voltammetry revealed that Cu(2+) cations induced oxidation of the ferrocene unit in both dyads. Composites of unmodified or oxidized carbon nano‐onions (CNOs/ox‐CNOs) with poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) are prepared with different compositions. By varying the ratio of PEDOT:PSS relative to CNOs, CNO/PEDOT:PSS composites with various PEDOT:PSS loadings are obtained and the corresponding film properties are studied as a function of the polymer. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy characterization is performed for pristine and ox‐CNO samples. The composites are characterized by scanning and transmission electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry studies. The electrochemical properties of the nanocomposites are determined and compared. Doping the composites with carbon nanostructures significantly increases their mechanical and electrochemical stabilities. A comparison of the results shows that CNOs dispersed in the polymer matrices increase the capacitance of the CNO/PEDOT:PSS and ox‐CNO/PEDOT:PSS composites.  相似文献

A new application of TOPological Sub-structural MOlecular DEsign (TOPS-MODE) was carried out in herbicides using computer-aided molecular design. Two series of compounds, one containing herbicide and the other containing nonherbicide compounds, were processed by a k-Means Cluster Analysis in order to design the training and prediction sets. A linear classification function to discriminate the herbicides from the nonherbicide compounds was developed. The model correctly and clearly classified 88% of active and 94% of inactive compounds in the training set. More specifically, the model showed a good global classification of 91%, i.e., (168 cases out of 185). While in the prediction set, they showed an overall predictability of 91% and 92% for active and inactive compounds, being the global percentage of good classification of 92%. To assess the range of model applicability, a virtual screening of structurally heterogeneous series of herbicidal compounds was carried out. Two hundred eighty-four out of 332 were correctly classified (86%). Furthermore this paper describes a fragment analysis in order to determine the contribution of several fragments toward herbicidal property; also the present of halogens in the selected fragments were analyzed. It seems that the present TOPS-MODE based QSAR is the first alternate general "in silico" technique to experimentation in herbicides discovery.  相似文献

In this paper we present surface dilatational properties of soy globulins (beta-conglycinin, glycinin, and reduced glycinin with 10 mM of dithiothreitol (DTT)) adsorbed onto the air-water interface, as a function of adsorption time. The experiments were performed at constant temperature (20 degrees C), pH (8.0), and ionic strength (0.05 M). The surface rheological parameters were measured as a function of protein concentration (ranging from 1 to 1x10(-3)% wt/wt). We found that the surface dilatational modulus, E, increases, and the phase angle, phi, decreases with time, theta, which may be associated with protein adsorption. These phenomena have been related to protein adsorption, unfolding, and/or protein-protein interactions (at long-term adsorption) as a function of protein concentration in solution. From a rheological point of view, the surface viscoelastic characteristics of soy globulin films adsorbed at the air-water interface are practically elastic. The main conclusion is that the dilatational properties of the adsorbed films depend on the molecular structure of the protein.  相似文献

The distribution of copper- and nickel-containing components in the pore space of HZSM-5 zeolite was quantitatively studied. It was found that the detailed distribution of a modifier in the micropore and mesopore volumes of the zeolite depends on both the chemical nature of the modifier and the conditions of supporting and the regime of M2+ polycondensation in the pore space of the zeolite. The experimental data on the low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen on Cu(n)ZSM-5 catalysts can be interpreted as the result of the partial filling of the zeolite micropore space (10 vol %) and the finest mesopores with D < 3 nm with the modifier. In the case of Ni(n)ZSM-5 catalysts, the penetration of the modifier into zeolite channels (micropores) in detectable amounts was not found, and it was arranged in mesopores on the surface of zeolite crystallites. The reason for differences between modifier distributions in the pore structure of the zeolite was explained from the standpoint of different structures of copper and nickel polyhydroxo complexes in impregnating solutions after polycondensation. It was found that, in the Cu(n)ZSM-5 and Ni(n)ZSM-5 catalysts, the modifier component contained copper and nickel only in a doubly charged state and mainly octahedral oxygen environments. In this case, three-dimensional nanoparticles or coarsely dispersed particles of CuO were not detected in the pore space of the support, whereas the presence of a small amount of sufficiently large NiO crystals with a coherent-scattering region of 80–100 nm was detected in Ni(n)ZSM-5, and these crystals occurred on the surface of zeolite crystals. It was found that the apparent density of a copper-or nickel-containing component arranged in the pore space of the zeolite was lower than the density of the bulk CuO and NiO phases by a factor of ~3 and 4, respectively, because of the size effect.  相似文献

A series of dimethyldihydropyrene derivatives was studied to elucidate the photochemical mechanism associated with the switching between the dimethyldihydropyrene (DHP, closed) and metacyclophanediene (CPD, open) forms of the molecule. Quantum yields of ring opening and closure, fluorescence quantum yields and lifetimes, as well as laser flash photolysis studies were performed to establish the effect of substituents on the switching efficiency. Ring opening of the DHPs occurs from the first singlet excited state. The low quantum yields for the ring opening reaction observed (< or =0.042) are a consequence of the low rate constant (< or =1.7 x 10(7) s(-1)) for this process. The quantum yields for ring closure of the CPD were determined for select compounds and were of the order of 0.1-0.4. These results show that the efficiency for ring opening of this class of compounds is intrinsically low, but can be modulated to some extent by the introduction of substituents. These properties should be taken into account when considering what type of photoswitching devices DHPs might be useful for.  相似文献

A novel method, dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction combined with liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection is proposed for the determination of three beta-blockers (metoprolol, bisoprolol, and betaxolol) in ground water, river water, and bottled mineral water. Some important parameters, such as the kind and volume of extraction and dispersive solvents, extraction time, pH, and salt effect were investigated and optimized. In the method, a suitable mixture of extraction solvent (60 μL carbon tetrachloride) and dispersive solvent (1 mL acetonitrile) were injected into the aqueous samples (5.00 mL) and the cloudy solution was observed. After centrifugation, the enriched analytes in the bottom CCl(4) phase were determined by liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. Under the optimum conditions, the enrichment factors (EFs) for metoprolol, bisoprolol, and betaxolol were 180, 190, and 182, and the limits of detection (LODs) were 1.8, 1.4, and 1.0 ng L(-1) , respectively. A good linear relationship between the peak area and the concentration of analytes was obtained in the range of 3-150 ng L(-1) . The relative standard deviations (RSDs) for the extraction of 10 ng L(-1) of beta-blockers were in the range of 4.6-5.7% (n = 5). Compared with other methods, dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction is a very simple, rapid, sensitive (low limit of detection), and economical (only 1.06 mL volume of organic solvent) method, which is in compliance with the requirements of green analytical methodologies.  相似文献

Abstract

Neurotoxicities of a series of solvents in rats and mice have been modeled by means of the TOPS-MODE approach. Two quantitative structure-toxicity relationship (QSTR) models were obtained explaining more than 80% of the variance in the experimental values of neurotoxicity of 45 solvents. Only one compound was detected as statistical outlier for these models. In contrast, previous models explained less than 60% of the variance in this property for 44 solvents. Finally, the contributions to neurotoxicity in rats and mice for a series of structural fragments were found. Structural characteristics of chlorinated fragments responsible for their different neurotoxicities were analyzed. The differences in neurotoxic behavior of some fragments in rats and mice were also analyzed, which could give insights on the toxicological mechanism of action of solvents studied.  相似文献

Cardiovascular disease and cancer are the main causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Thus, investigators have focused their efforts on gaining insight into understanding the mechanisms involved in the development and evolution of these diseases. In the past decade, and with the contribution of the -omics technologies, strong evidence has supported an essential role of gene-nutrient interactions in these processes, pointing at natural bioactive molecules as promising complementary agents that are useful in preventing or mitigating these diseases. In addition, alterations in lipid metabolism have recently gained strong interest since they have been described as a common event required for the progression of both diseases. In the present review, we give an overview of lipid metabolism, mainly focusing on lipoprotein metabolism and the mechanisms controlling lipid homeostasis. In addition, we review the modulation of lipid metabolism by bioactive molecules, highlighting their potential use as therapeutic agents in preventing, and treating chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancer. Finally, we report the usefulness of the -omics technologies in nutritional research, focusing on recent findings, within nutritional genomics, in the interaction of bioactive components from foods with several genes that are involved in the development and progression of these diseases.  相似文献

A new and versatile, crown ether appended, chiral supergelator has been designed and synthesized based on the bis‐urea motif. The introduction of a stereogenic center improved its gelation ability significantly relative to its achiral analogue. This low‐molecular‐weight gelator forms supramolecular gels in a variety of organic solvents. It is sensitive to multiple chemical stimuli and the sol–gel phase transitions can be reversibly triggered by host–guest interactions. The gel can be used to trap enzymes and release them on demand by chemical stimuli. It stabilizes the microparticles in Pickering emulsions so that enzyme‐catalyzed organic reactions can take place in the polar phase inside the microparticles, the organic reactants diffusing through the biphasic interface from the surrounding organic phase. Because of the higher interface area between the organic and polar phases, enzyme activity is enhanced in comparison with simple biphasic systems.  相似文献
