In this article simultaneous effects of external electric field and spin-orbit interaction on the linear and the nonlinear optical properties of a cubic quantum dot are studied. Based on the non- degenerate perturbation method, energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the system under the influence of spin-orbit interaction are calculated. Furthermore, the linear and the nonlinear optical absorption coefficients and refractive index changes are obtained using the compact density matrix approach and iterative method. Our results show that, due to the spin-orbit interaction, resonant peak values of the optical absorption coefficients and refractive index changes decrease and occur at lower values of the incident photon energy. The variation of these optical parameters depend on the spin-orbit interaction strength, dot dimensions and external electric field.  相似文献

An efficient and environment friendly process for the synthesis of α-aminophosphonates has been devised. Through a one-pot three-component condensation of various aldehydes, amines, and triethyl phosphite in the presence of Fe3O4@SiO2-imid-PMAn nanoparticles as magnetic catalysts under solvent-free conditions and ultrasonic irradiation, α-aminophosphonates were obtained with excellent yields. The reactions under solvent-free conditions at room temperature are compared with the ultrasonic-assisted reactions. This new procedure has notable advantages such as short reaction time, excellent yields, easy purification, and the absence of any tedious workup or purification. The aforementioned catalyst could be easily recovered by an external magnetic field and can be reused for six consecutive reaction cycles without significant loss of activity. In addition, SEM and DLS of the catalyst after the reaction cycle were investigated.  相似文献

A series of novel 2,4,6-triarylpyridines have been synthesized and their interactions with intramolecular G-quadruplexes have been measured by F?rster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) melting and Fluorescent Intercalator Displacement (FID) assays. A few of these compounds exhibit stabilization of G4-DNA that is comparable to other benchmark G4-DNA ligands with fair to excellent G4-DNA vs. duplex selectivity and significant cytotoxicity towards HeLa cells. The nature of the 4-aryl substituents along with side chain length governs the G4-DNA stabilization ability of the compounds. In addition, we demonstrate that there is a strong correlation between the ability of the compounds to stabilize the same G4-DNA sequence in K(+) and Na(+) conditions and a strong correlation between the ability of the compounds to stabilize different G4-DNA sequences in K(+) or Na(+) buffer.  相似文献

The specific sorption of Eu(III) and Y(III) on γ-alumina was investigated with solid-state (1)H NMR. Solution pH was shown to influence the recorded (1)H NMR spectra of γ-alumina, and thus, metal ion-containing samples were prepared under constant pH conditions, 8.00±0.05. The metal ion concentration in the samples was varied between 6.58×10(-7) M - 3.95×10(-4) M in case of Y(3+) and 6.58×10(-8) M - 1.32×10(-4) M in case of Eu(3+). The mineral concentration was kept constant at 4 g/l. After separation of the liquid phase, the samples were dried under vacuum to remove physisorbed water from the mineral surface. However, even after 48 h of drying at 150°C and 20 mTorr, water was still detected in the proton spectra as two distinct peaks with chemical shifts at 1.3 and 0.9 ppm. The europium addition to the γ-alumina samples induced significant spectral changes in comparison with yttrium-containing samples. These changes were attributed to the paramagnetism of europium rather than to complexation reactions occurring on the mineral surface. Proton spectra obtained for yttrium samples were therefore used to detect the spectral changes induced by the sorption reaction itself. The results revealed a large distribution of protons being removed from the mineral surface upon yttrium complexation. Removed protons were assigned to both bridging surface hydroxyls such as (Al(VI))(2)-OH as well as to terminal hydroxyls, e.g., of type Al(VI)-OH. Acidic protons belonging to (Al(VI))(3)-OH groups were not observed to participate in the surface reaction.  相似文献

We describe the catalytic activity of the first chimeric ligase containing a foldameric sequence of β- and γ-amino acids. The chimeric backbone provides for the spatial arrangement of all functional groups involved in the formation of the catalytic site to allow efficient catalysis to take place. Our finding indicates significant progress in the field of functionally active artificial motifs.  相似文献

Infrared spectra of a carbon disulfide trimer formed in a pulsed supersonic slit-jet expansion are obtained via direct absorption of a tuneable diode laser in the region of the CS(2)ν(3) fundamental (~1535 cm(-1)). This is the first high-resolution spectroscopic observation of (CS(2))(3). Two bands sharing the same lower state are assigned to ((12)C(32)S(2))(3). These correspond to the two infrared active trimer vibrations (a parallel and a perpendicular band) of the constituent CS(2) monomer asymmetric stretches. The weaker perpendicular band is centered at 1524.613 cm(-1), shifted by -10.74 cm(-1) with respect to the free CS(2) monomer. The parallel band is centered at 1545.669 cm(-1), a vibrational shift of +10.31 cm(-1). Transitions with K≠ 3n and those with K = 0, J = odd in the ground state are absent, establishing that this trimer has D(3) symmetry. The two parameters required to define this structure are determined to be 3.811 ? for the C-C bond distance and 61.8° for the angle between a monomer axis and the plane containing the C atoms. In addition, a parallel band arising from trimers with a single (34)S substitution is observed around 1544.46 cm(-1). Together with the recently observed cross-shaped CS(2) dimer, these results indicate a tendency for CS(2) to form highly symmetric clusters.  相似文献

We study the effect of counter-ion complexation on the example of Cl(-) ions interacting with the [Co(en)(3)](3+) complex. The H-bonding of the N-H groups of the ethylenediamine (en) ligands with the Cl(-) ions may lead to giant enhancement of the VCD intensity for the N-H stretches, but may also lead to VCD sign changes in the finger print region of N-H wagging, twisting and scissoring motions. Such sign changes should not be mistaken for signatures of the presence of the other enantiomer. We elucidate the mechanism for the sign changes and give a recommendation on how to deal with this problem. We also show that the experimental spectrum is only in good accord with the calculations if complexation of 5 Cl(-) ions (two axial, three equatorial) is assumed, but not with two (axial) or three (equatorial) Cl(-) ions, thus showing the potential of VCD to be used as an experimental probe for complexation.  相似文献
