A single‐step solution‐based strategy is used to obtain 2D Janus‐like free‐standing ultrathin nanosheets build from two structurally unrelated species, that is, polyoxomolybdate (POM) and CoO. A controlled 2D‐to‐1D morphological transition was achieved by judiciously adjusting the solvent choice. These POM‐CoO heterostructures can behave as an ideal catalyst for the epoxidation of styrene. Benefiting from their amphiphilic nature, these 2D POM‐CoO nanosheets have also been used as surfactant to emulsify immiscible solvents. It is anticipated that structurally diverse polyoxometalates will offer promise as design elements for variety of structurally and compositionally tunable van der Waals integrated heteromaterials having a broad range applications. 相似文献

A novel tetradentate Cu(II) complex of the type, [CuL](NO(3))(2) was synthesized by the interaction of Schiff base ligand, N,N-bis[(E)-2-thienylmethylidene]-1,8-naphthalenediamine, L obtained by the condensation of thiophene-2-carboxaldehyde and 1,8-diaminonaphthalene. The formation of Schiff base ligand, L and its Cu(II) complex was confirmed on the basis of results of elemental analyses, mass, FT-IR, (1)H and (13)C{(1)H} NMR spectral studies. UV-Vis, EPR and magnetic susceptibility data support a square planar environment around Cu(II) ion. However, molar conductance values confirmed 1:2 electrolytic nature for the Cu(II) complex. The electrochemical studies of Cu(II) complex was carried out by using cyclic voltammetry which revealed the complex to exhibit quasi reversible process. The biological activity of Cu(II) complex such as ability to bind DNA and DNA cleavage were studied where the Cu(II) complex was shown to cause considerable DNA cleavage and also generated reactive oxygen species such as superoxide anion. Since it is known that various anticancer drugs act through induction of oxidative stress that is mediated by reactive oxygen species, our results suggest a putative role of Cu(II) complex similar to various anticancer drugs. 相似文献

The antibacterial and antifungal activities of three new pyrimidine derivatives, namely, 2,6-bis(4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-ylthio)benzene-1,4-diol (1),3,5-bis(4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-ylthio)-2-methylbenzene-1,4-diol (2) and 3,5-bis(4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-ylthio)-2-methoxybenzene-1,4-diol (3), synthesised by electrochemical method are presented here. The compounds were screened for their activities against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcusaureus, Escherichia coli and a pathogenic fungus Aspergillus niger. The results show that these compounds have significant activity against these bacteria and fungus. The minimum inhibitory concentration of compound 1 was determined as 62.5 μg/mL against B. subtilis, 125 μg/mL against E. coli and 250 μg/mL against S. aureus establishing its promising activities higher than susceptible ranges. 相似文献

A pair of enatiomerically pure ligands,(R-)/(S-)2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,5-dihydrothiazole-4-carboxylic acid(H2L^R & H2L^S), have been synthesized by the reactions of 4-cyanobenzoic acid with L-and D-cysteine, respectively. Four coordination polymers have been prepared from the ligands and structurally determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Complexes 1 R and 1 S([NiL(Py)(H2 O)]×H2 O, for 1 R, L =(L^R)2-;for 1 S, L =(L^S)2-) exhibit chiral helical one-dimensional chains, and complexes 2 R and 2 S({[ZnL2(H2 O)3]×CH3 CN}n, for 2 R L =(L^R)2-, for 2 S L =(LS)2-) are two-dimensional sheets. A simple, precise, and sensitive high-performance liquid chromatographic method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of potassium clavulanate and cefixime in synthetic mixture form. The analytes were separated on a C18 column by using 0.03 M disodium hydrogen phosphate buffer (pH 6.5)-methanol (84 + 16, v/v) as the mobile phase with detection at 220 nm. The method exhibited high sensitivity and good linearity in the concentration ranges of 12.5-62.5 and 20-100 microg/mL for potassium clavulanate and cefixime, respectively. The total run time for the 2 components was <8 min, and the average recovery was >101.5% with a relative standard deviation of <1.0%. The proposed method was validated according to guidelines of the International Conference on Harmonization by evaluation of linearity, recovery, selectivity, robustness, limits of detection and quantitation, and within- and between-day precision. The results obtained for the synthetic mixture show that the method is highly precise and accurate for the simultaneous determination of potassium clavulanate and cefixime. 相似文献

The design of a three-dimensional structure for an Ir-based catalyst offers a great opportunity to improve the electrocatalytic performance and maximize the use of the precious metal. Herein, a novel wet chemical strategy is reported for the synthesis of an IrRuMn catalyst with a sphere structure and porous features. In the synthetic process, the combined use of citric acid and formamide is requisite for the formation of the sphere structure. This method leads to a favorable 3D IrRuMn sphere structure with many fully exposed active sites. Furthermore, an alloying noble metal, such as Ir or Ru, with the transition metal leads to enhanced oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity. The doping of a transition metal, such as Mn, is an interesting example, because it exhibits stability and activity in both acidic and alkaline media. For the OER, the IrRuMn sphere catalyst exhibits an overpotential of 260 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 in strongly acidic 0.1 m HClO4, which is superior to that of a commercial IrO2/C catalyst. This approach provides a novel way to synthesize an Ir-based multimetallic spherical electrocatalyst, which exhibits exceptional efficiency for the acidic OER. Heteropoly acids(HPA) are well known for their versatile solid acid catalysis in diverse chemical reactions, however they suffer from low surface area(10 m~2/g) and leaching into the reactions media, which reduce their prospects as industrial catalyst.Herein, a novel hybrid material HPW@Zr-BTC,composed of 12-tungstophoric acid(HPW) and Zr~(Ⅳ)-benzene tri-carboxylate(Zr-BTC) metal-organic framework(MOF), was prepared via one-pot solvothermal method. Excellent HPW loading up to 32.3 wt% was achieved, and HPW@Zr-BTC composite proved to be highly stable, besides the crystalline morphology of Zr-BTC was intact. The catalytic activity of the hybrid composite was explored via Friedel-Crafts acylation of anisole with benzoyl chloride.The 28.2 wt% HPW@Zr-BTC showed excellent catalytic performance, with 99.4% anisole conversion and 97.6% yield(pmethoxybenzophenone) under solvent free conditions. Excellent retention of catalytic activity was achieved after at least five consecutive runs due to non-observable HPW leaching. The promising activity and stability of the catalyst forecasted its potential industrial applications. 相似文献
