A comprehensive study on the small-signal intensity modulation (IM) characteristics of a fiber grating Fabry-Perot (FGFP) laser is numerically investigated. The effect of external optical feedback (OFB), temperature, injection current, cavity volume, nonlinear gain compression factor, and fiber grating (FG) parameters on IM characteristics are presented. The temperature dependence (TD) of IM is calculated according to the TD of laser cavity parameters instead of using the well-known Parkove relationship. It has been shown that the optimum external fiber length (L ext) is 3.1 cm. The optimum range of working temperature for FGFP laser is between 23 to 27 °C. We also show that by increasing the laser injection current from 10 to 60 mA, the IM peak amplitude decreased from 6.3 to 0.2 dB and the relaxation-oscillation frequency (ROF) is shifted from 1.2 GHz towards higher frequency of 5.48 GHz. In addition, the AR coating reflectivity and gain compression factor have no significant effect on the IM. The study indicates that a stable operation and excellent modulation characteristic can be obtained after optimization process.  相似文献

This paper presents the decomposition by-products of trifluro-iodo-methane and their relative proportions in the gas phase under the occurrence of partial discharge. The experiment was performed in the presence of water vapor from 250 to 400 ppm under a non-uniform electric field configuration. The experimental results reveal that the by-products of C2F6, C2F4, C2F5I with the amount of 1300, 200, and 55 (CH3I) ppm, respectively, were produced for a cumulative charge of 161 mC. Other by-products, such as C3F8, CHF3, C3F6 CH3I were obtained at less than 30 ppm C2F6 was the dominant gas by-product of trifluro-iodo-methane suffering partial discharge.  相似文献

The law of variation for mean Hubble’s parameter with average scale factor, in an anisotropic Bianchi type V cosmological space–time, is discussed within the frame work of Lyra’s manifold. The variation of Hubble’s parameter, which gives a constant value of deceleration parameter, generates two types of solutions for the average scale factor; one is the power-law and the other one is of exponential form. Using these two forms, new classes of exact solutions of the field equations have been found for a Bianchi type V space–time filled with perfect fluid in Lyra’s geometry by considering a time-dependent displacement field. The physical and kinematical behaviors of the singular and non-singular models of the universe are examined. Exact expressions for look-back time, luminosity distance and event horizon versus redshift are also derived and their significance are discussed in detail. It has been observed that the solutions are compatible with the results of recent observations.  相似文献

Coir fiber from coconut husk is an important agricultural waste in Malaysia. Acoustic absorption coefficient of the fiber as a porous material is studied in this paper. Two types of fiber are investigated, fresh from wet market and industrial prepared mixed with binder. Moreover two analytical models, namely; Delany–Bazley and Biot–Allard are used for analysis. Experimental measurements in impedance tube are conducted to validate the analytical outcomes. Results show that fresh coir fiber has an average absorption coefficient of 0.8 at f > 1360 Hz and 20 mm thickness. Increasing the thickness is improved the sound absorption in lower frequencies, having the same average at f > 578 Hz and 45 mm thickness. Delany–Bazley technique can be used for both types of fiber while Biot–Allard method is compensated for the industrial prepared fiber considering the binder additive. This form generally shows poor acoustical absorption in low frequencies. Inevitably, fiber has to be mixed with additives in commercial use to enhance its characteristics such as stiffness, unti-fungus and flammability. Hence other approaches such as adding air gap or perforated plate should be used to improve the acoustical properties of industrial treated coir fiber.  相似文献

The sol-gel process is a technique which provides a low-temperature route for the preparation of organic dye-doped porous silica glass. Extended UV transmission was observed for HCl-catalysed sol-gel silica. Properties of a solute may differ greatly between a free solution and that solution confined in pores of a sol-gel glass. Absorption and fluorescence properties of sulforhodamine 640-doped silica samples prepared by sol-gel process were investigated. In the TEOS-derived gel, the emission of the dye does not shift during aging but exhibits a large change during drying. The emission maximum of sulforhodamine 640 blue shifts was discussed as a function of increasing rigidity of the surrounding matrix.  相似文献

Li-ion rechargeable batteries based on polymer electrolytes are of great interest for solid state electrochemical devices nowadays. Many studies have been carried out to improve the ionic conductivity of polymer electrolytes, which include polymer blending, incorporating plasticizers and filler additives in the electrolyte systems. This paper describes the effects of incorporating nano-sized MnO2 filler on the ionic conductivity enhancement of a plasticized polymer blend PMMA–PEO–LiClO4–EC electrolyte system. The maximum conductivity achieved is within the range of 10−3 S cm−1 by optimizing the composition of the polymers, salts, plasticizer, and filler. The temperature dependence of the polymer conductivity obeys the VTF relationship. DSC and XRD studies are carried out to clarify the complex formation between the polymers, salts, and plasticizer.  相似文献

Electrical field components of metal‐surface plasmon resonance were analyzed in detail. Both longitudinal optical (LO) and transverse optical (TO) phonon modes of a biaxially strained Si layer can be excited by surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). The z to y polarization ratio in SERS measurements was calculated to be 0.78 using the intensity ratio of TO to LO phonon modes. In the present work, Vickers microhardness measurements were carried out on different faces i.e. (1 0 0), (0 0 1) and (1 0 1) of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) single crystals grown by slow evaporation solution technique at room temperature in the load ranging from 0.2 to 2 N. The obtained results show that the load independent hardness values are 0.8, 0.7 and 0.66 GPa, respectively at different faces of ADP crystal. From the crack length measurements, the fracture toughness values (Kc) was estimated using Evans and Anstis model and the present studies suggest that Evans model is more relevant when compared to Anstis model. The load variation of some mechanical properties viz. brittle index number (Bi) and yield strength (σy) for ADP have also been calculated for the first time.  相似文献
