We introduce a simplified sample preparation method using bare TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) to serve as multifunctional nanoprobes (desalting, accelerating, and affinity probes) for effective enrichment
of phosphopeptides from microwave-assisted tryptic digestion of phosphoproteins (α-casein, β-casein and milk) in Electrospray
Ionization Mass Spectrometry (ESI-MS) and Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-MS). The results
demonstrate that TiO2 NPs can effectively enrich and accelerate the digestion reactions of phosphoproteins in aqueous solutions and also from complex
real samples. After the microwave experiments, we directly injected the resulting solutions into the ESI-MS and MALDI-MS systems
for analysis, and excellent sensitivity was achieved without the need for any washing procedure or separation process. The
reasons are attributed to the high binding affinity and selectivity of TiO2 NPs toward phosphopeptides. Thus, phosphopeptides can be adsorbed onto the TiO2 NP surface. The digested or partially digested phosphoproteins can be concentrated onto the TiO2 NP surface. This results in the effective or complete digestion of phosphoproteins in a short period of time (45 s). In addition,
high sensitivity and sequence coverage of phosphopeptide can be obtained using TiO2 NPs as microwave absorbers and affinity probes in MALDI-MS and ESI-MS. This is due to the photocatalytic nature of the TiO2 NPs because the absorption of microwave radiation that can accelerate the activation of trypsin for efficient digestion of
phosphoproteins and enhances the ionization of phosphopeptides. The lowest concentrations detected for ESI-MS and MALDI-MS
were 0.1 μM and 10 fmol, respectively, for α-casein. Comparing the two-step approach of TiO2 NPs with microscale TiO2 particles, the microscale TiO2 particles shows no effect on the microwave-assisted tryptic digestion of phosphoproteins. The current approach offers multiple
advantages, such as great simplicity, high sensitivity and selectivity, straightforward and separation/washing-free technique

The newly prepared homo-bimetallic complexes [M2(imda)2(H2O)4], [M2(imda)2(Bipy)2] (M = Co, Ni or Cu) and [Fe2(imda)2(H2O)3Cl] (H2imda = iminodiacetic acid and Bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine) have been studied employing IR, FAB-mass, 1H and 13C NMR, EPR and ligand field spectra, which indicated a high-spin state of metal ion with hexa-coordinate environment. 57Fe Mössbauer data of the homo-bimetallic complex [Fe2(imda)2(H2O)3Cl] confirm a high-spin configuration with Fe (±3/2 → 1/2) nuclear transitions and the presence of Kramer's double degeneracy. At RT, the spin–spin interactions of the neighbouring nuclei (Fe3+–Fe3+ = S5/2–S5/2) are anti-ferromagnetically coupled. However, at LNT, the complex acquires a mixed-valent [FeIII–FeII] composition corroborated from the X-band EPR data. CV studies indicated the presence of quasi-reversible redox CuII/I, CuII/III, FeIII/II, FeIII/I and FeII/I couples. 相似文献

Coir fiber from coconut husk is an important agricultural waste in Malaysia. Acoustic absorption coefficient of the fiber as a porous material is studied in this paper. Two types of fiber are investigated, fresh from wet market and industrial prepared mixed with binder. Moreover two analytical models, namely; Delany–Bazley and Biot–Allard are used for analysis. Experimental measurements in impedance tube are conducted to validate the analytical outcomes. Results show that fresh coir fiber has an average absorption coefficient of 0.8 at f > 1360 Hz and 20 mm thickness. Increasing the thickness is improved the sound absorption in lower frequencies, having the same average at f > 578 Hz and 45 mm thickness. Delany–Bazley technique can be used for both types of fiber while Biot–Allard method is compensated for the industrial prepared fiber considering the binder additive. This form generally shows poor acoustical absorption in low frequencies. Inevitably, fiber has to be mixed with additives in commercial use to enhance its characteristics such as stiffness, unti-fungus and flammability. Hence other approaches such as adding air gap or perforated plate should be used to improve the acoustical properties of industrial treated coir fiber. 相似文献

Raman and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopies have been utilized to measure long-wavelength optical lattice vibrations of high-quality quaternary AlxInyGa1−x−yN thin films at room temperature. The AlxInyGa1−x−yN films were grown on c-plane (0 0 0 1) sapphire substrates with AlN as buffer layers using plasma assisted molecular beam epitaxy (PA-MBE) technique with aluminum (Al) mole fraction x ranging from 0.0 to 0.2 and constant indium (In) mole fraction y=0.1. Pseudo unit cell (PUC) model was applied to investigate the phonons frequency, mode number, static dielectric constant, and high frequency dielectric constant of the AlxInyGa1−x−yN mixed crystals. The theoretical results were compared with the experimental results obtained from the quaternary samples by using Raman and FTIR spectroscopies. The experimental results indicated that the AlxInyGa1−x−yN alloy had two-mode behavior, which includes A1(LO), E1(TO), and E2(H). Thus, these results are in agreement with the theoretical results of PUC model, which also revealed a two-mode behavior for the quaternary nitride. We also obtained new values of E1(TO) and E2(H) for the quaternary nitride samples that have not yet been reported in the literature. 相似文献

incorporating nano-sized MnO2 filler on the ionic conductivity enhancement of a plasticized polymer blend PMMA–PEO–LiClO4–EC electrolyte system. The maximum conductivity achieved is within the range of 10−3 S cm−1 by optimizing the composition of the polymers, salts, plasticizer, and filler. The temperature dependence of the polymer

The thermal degradation of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) was investigated by kinetic analyses in detail to clarify its complex degradation behavior, resulting in a finding of mixed mechanisms comprising at least a thermal random degradation with subsequent auto-accelerated transesterification, and a kinetically favored chain reaction from crotonate chain ends. The thermal degradation behavior of PHB varied with changes in time and/or temperature. From the kinetic analysis of changes in molecular weight, it was found that a non-auto-catalytic random degradation proceeding in the initial period was followed by an auto-accelerated reaction in the middle period. From the kinetic analysis of weight loss behavior, it is proposed that there are some kinetically favored scissions occurring at the chain ends, where the degradation proceeded by a 0th-order weight loss process in the middle stage. The observed 0th-order weight loss process was assumed to be an unzipping reaction occurring at ester groups neighboring the crotonate end groups. 相似文献

Erythrocentaurin is a relatively simple natural product present among the members of Gentianaceae. A preparative method for the isolation of erythrocentaurin from the ethyl acetate fraction of Enicostemma littorale using medium‐pressure liquid chromatography has been reported. The method consisted of a simple step gradient from 10 to 20% ethyl acetate in n‐hexane. Using a 70 × 460 mm Si60 column, this method is capable of processing 20 g of material in <3 h (purity ≈ 97%). The recovery of erythrocentaurin was 87.77%. Estimation of erythrocentaurin in extracts and fractions based on high‐pressure thin‐layer chromatography was carried out on silica gel 60 F254 plates with toluene/ethyl acetate/formic acid (80:18:2 v/v/v) as the mobile phase. The densitometric analysis was performed at 230 nm. A well‐separated compact band of erythrocentaurin appeared at Rf 0.54 ± 0.04. The analytical method showed good linearity in the concentration range of 200–1500 ng/band with a correlation coefficient of 0.99417. The limits of detection and quantification were found to be ≈60 and ≈180 ng/band, respectively. Erythrocentaurin exhibited a concentration‐dependent α‐amylase inhibition (IC50 1.67 ± 0.28 mg/mL). The outcome of the study should be considered for pharmacokinetic and biotransformation studies involving E. littorale. 相似文献

The interaction between bis(hexadecyldimethylammonium)hexane dibromide (16-6-16), bis(tetradecyldimethylammonium)hexane dibromide (14-6-14), their conventional counterparts cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide (TTAB) with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was investigated using the conductivity technique. The results show that gemini surfactants interact strongly with PVP as compared to conventional surfactants. The results also reveal that the surfactants with shorter hydrocarbon chain interact weakly as those of longer hydrocarbon chain. The interactions of 16-6-16 and 14-6-14 and their conventional counterparts with PVP were also studied using dynamic light scattering (DLS) measurements. We have also highlighted the effect of surfactant–polymer interactions on the dispersion force in the solution. Critical aggregation concentration (cac) and critical micelle concentration (cmc) were obtained using the conductivity data. The degrees of micelle ionization and free energies associated with aggregation, micellization, and transfer have also been evaluated and discussed. 相似文献
