This article addresses nonlinear wave equations with supercritical interior and boundary sources, and subject to interior and boundary damping. The presence of a nonlinear boundary source alone is known to pose a significant difficulty since the linear Neumann problem for the wave equation is not, in general, well‐posed in the finite‐energy space H1(Ω) × L2(?Ω) with boundary data in L2 due to the failure of the uniform Lopatinskii condition. Further challenges stem from the fact that both sources are non‐dissipative and are not locally Lipschitz operators from H1(Ω) into L2(Ω), or L2(?Ω). With some restrictions on the parameters in the model and with careful analysis involving the Nehari Manifold, we obtain global existence of a unique weak solution, and establish exponential and algebraic uniform decay rates of the finite energy (depending on the behavior of the dissipation terms). Moreover, we prove a blow up result for weak solutions with nonnegative initial energy. 相似文献

This theorem extends and improves the recent strong convergence theorem due to Matsushita and Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. We consider the solvability of fractional differential equations involving the Riesz fractional derivative. Our approach basically relies on the reduction of the problem considered to the equivalent nonlinear mixed Volterra and Cauchy-type singular integral equation and on the theory of fractional calculus. By establishing a compactness property of the Riemann–Liouville fractional integral operator on Lebesgue spaces and using the well-known Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem, an existence of at least one solution is gleaned. In this paper, the Vieta–Fibonacci wavelets as a new family of orthonormal wavelets are generated. An operational matrix concerning fractional integration of these wavelets is extracted. A numerical scheme is established based on these wavelets and their fractional integral matrix together with the collocation technique to solve fractional pantograph equations. The presented method reduces solving the problem under study into solving a system of algebraic equations. Several examples are provided to show the accuracy of the method. 相似文献

Nonlinear relaxation dynamics of highly entangled solutions of high molecular weight 1,4-polybutadiene (PB) in a PB oligomer are studied in steady shear and step shear flows. Polymer entanglement densities vary in the range 14hN/Ne(J)⣴, allowing systematic investigation of entanglement effects on nonlinear rheological response. In agreement with previous steady shear studies using well entangled polystyrene solutions, a flow regime is found where both the steady-state shear stress and first normal stress difference remain constant or increase quite slowly with shear rate, leading to a plateau in the steady-state orientation angle. The magnitude of the average orientation angle in the plateau range is in accordance with predictions of a recent theory by Islam and Archer (2001). In step shear, the nonlinear relaxation modulus G(t,%) is approximately factorable into time-dependent G(t) and strain-dependent h(%) functions only at long times, t>5k, where 5k,O(Fd0). This finding is consistent with earlier observations for entangled polystyrene solutions; however the complex crossing pattern in G(t,%)h-1(%) that precede factorability in the latter materials is not observed. For all but the most entangled sample, apparent shear damping functions h (%,t)=(G(t,%))/(G(t)) immediately following imposition of shear are in nearly quantitative accord with the damping function hDEIA predicted by Doi-Edwards theory. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a controller based on active sliding mode theory to synchronize chaotic fractional-order systems in master-slave structure. Master and slave systems may be identical or different. Based on stability theorems in the fractional calculus, analysis of stability is performed for the proposed method. Finally, three numerical simulations (synchronizing fractional-order Lü-Lü systems, synchronizing fractional order Chen-Chen systems and synchronizing fractional-order Lü-Chen systems) are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed controller. A novel four level atomic configuration is proposed for controlling the optical bistability and transmission coefficient with application on all-optical switching. Two circularly polarized components from a weak linearly-polarized probe beam are interacted separately by two transitions of this medium. A coherent coupling field has derived another atomic transition. It is demonstrated that the transmission coefficient of two orthogonally polarized beams at different frequencies can be achieved by adjusting the magnitude of the external magnetic field. It is found that the threshold of the optical bistability can be controlled by magnitude of the external magnetic field. Also, it is shown that optical bistability can be converted to optical multistability by switching the two orthogonally polarized beams. 相似文献

Inverse bremsstrahlung (collisional) absorption of the laser beam is studied in plasma with a generalized (q-nonextensive) electron velocity distribution and some kind of generalized electron density profile. It is shown that for some values of parameters designating the q-nonextensive electron velocity distribution function and its generalized density profile, the calculated absorption coefficient reduces to the already known cases with Maxwellian velocity distribution with linear and exponential density profiles. 相似文献

A precise operation of the position-sensing detectors (PSD) is exploited in this study. A position-sensing detector is modeled and the amplified output signal for this device as a result of input source current variation is studied. Beam displacement on such detectors is calculated and approximated and more accurate expressions for the generated signals are obtained. Linearity effect in output response of such a device is also investigated. The expansion coefficients for the signals are determined, which show the effect of the nonlinear terms. The first nonlinear coefficient is about 16.6% of the linear coefficient while the next terms are 2.5, 0.89, and 0.48% of the linear coefficient, respectively. For a position change of x=0.2 unit the linear term is 0.08, the third-order term −0.005328, and the fifth-order term is only about 0.000032, which is negligible.
