Summary Reaction of one mole of acetylacetone with two moles of 4-phenylthiosemicarbazide yields the unusual Schiff base, MeC(=N-NHCSNHPh)CH2C(=NNHCSNHPh)Me. APT = H2L) acetylacetone bis(4-phenylthiosemicarbazone). The complexes of CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII and UVIO2 have been prepared and characterized by analytical, i.r., electronic spectral and magnetic measurements. The CoII, NiII and CuII complexes have been assigned square-planar stereochemistry on the basis of magnetic and spectroscopic studies. The ligand is a neutral or dibasic quadridentate SNNS donor as revealed by i.r. spectral studies.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method is described for the quantitative determination ofN-substituted phenothiazines. The method depends on the formation of a stable phenothiazine free radical cation by the use ofN-bromophthalimide as oxidising agent in a strong acid medium (methanol/ sulphuric acid 1 1 v/v). The produced red or violet color possesses absorption maximum range from 500 to 530 nm. A linear relationship exists between the absorbance at (max) and concentration in the range 5 to 40 g ml–1 with apparent molar absorptivities range from 6 × 103 to 12 × 1031 mol–1 cm–1. The color is developed instantaneously for all the studied phenothiazines except for thioproperazine mesylate, trifluoperazine dihydrochloride and prochlorperazine mesylate that require 25, 15 and 25 min, respectively, for complete reaction. The developed colors are stable over 24 h. The average % recovery is 99.85±0.61 to 100.28±0.95. The method was applied successfully to the microdetermination of chlorpromazine HCl, promethazine HCl, pericyazine, thioproperazine mesylate, perphenazine, prochlorperazine mesylate, trimeprazine tartrate and trifluoperazine 2HCl either in pure form or incorporated in their pharmaceutical preparations. The results of analysis are in good agreement with those of the official B.P. 1988 and USP XXII.  相似文献

Isomotive dielectrophoresis (isoDEP) is a unique DEP geometrical configuration where the gradient of the field-squared () is constant. IsoDEP analyzes polarizable particles based on their magnitude and direction of translation. Particle translation is a function of the polarizability of both the particles and suspending medium, the particles’ size and shape, and the frequency of the electric field. However, other electrokinetics act on the particles simultaneously, including electrothermal hydrodynamics. Hence, to maximize the DEP force relative to over electrokinetic forces, design parameters such as microchannel geometry, fabrication materials, and applied electric field must be properly tuned. In this work, scaling law analyses were developed to derive design rules, relative to particle diameter, to reduce unwanted electrothermal hydrodynamics relative to DEP-induced particle translation. For a particle suspended in 10 mS/m media, if the channel width and height are below ten particle diameters, the electrothermal-driven flow is reduced by ∼500 times compared to a channel that is 250 particles diameters in width and height. Replacing glass with silicon as the device's underlying substrate for an insulative-based isoDEP reduces the electrothermal induced flow approximately 20 times less.  相似文献

The present work focused on the utilization of Egyptian red clay (ERC) without any treatment as a highly efficient, selective, and eco-friendly catalyst for synthesis of bio-ethyl acetate in the gas phase. The best conditions used in conventional fixed bed reactor were 130 cm3/min total flow rate of air with 1.6 and 2.1 vol% bio-ethanol and bio-acetic acid, respectively, 1 g clay catalyst calcined at 300 and 225°C reaction temperature. Under these conditions, the conversions to ester achieved were about 80 and 98% after 5 and 30 min, respectively, from the initial admission of the reactants into the reactor. The amount and type of surface acidity were identified by isopropanol reaction and chemisorption of basic probes. The results demonstrated that the majority of intermediate strength of BrØnsted acid sites are the key role for the dehydration reaction toward ester formation. The virgin and annealed clay solids were characterized using X-ray fluorescence (XRF), thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and N2 sorption.  相似文献

New series of triazole derivatives coupled with amino acids 1a-h were obtained via multicomponent reaction of 2-hydroxy benzaldehyde or 2-hydroxy acetophenone with thiosemicarbazide and different amino acids. The obtained compounds were reacted with p-toluinesulfonyl chloride 2 to give the corresponding sulfonamides 3a-h . Compound 1b was allowed to react with different aromatic aldehydes or cyclic ketone under alkaline conditions to afford the expected imino compounds 4a-d and 6a-c , respectively. These compounds were allowed to react with ethyl glycolate to yield the expected thiazolidinone derivatives 5a-d or 7a-c , respectively. Structures of the newly synthesized compounds were found to be in accordance with their elemental analyses and spectral data. The obtained compounds exhibited very prominent in vitro and in vivo antihyperglycemic effect at a dose of 40 mg/kg body weight compared to the standard drug gliclazide and control. The antidiabetic effect was investigated using oral glucose tolerance test in normal and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) in STZ-rat model. Compounds 3a - h , 5b , 5c , 5d , 7a , 7b , and 7c showed significant activity in lowering blood glucose (more than 80%) compared to the NIDDM control.  相似文献

The chloroacetamide derivative, 1 , was used as a versatile precursor for the synthesis of various types of N-aryl-2-(benzothiazol-2-ylthio)acetamide derivatives. The reaction of 1 with 2-mercaptobenzothiazole followed by condensation reaction of the produced sulfide with phenylhydrazine, 2-cyanoacetohydrazide, and/or thiosemicarbazide furnished the conforming condensation products, 4 , 7 , and 10 , respectively. Treatment of the phenylhydrazone product, 4 , with Vilsmeier formylation reagent (POCl3/DMF) yielded the corresponding 4-formylpyrazole derivative, 5 . The thiosemicarbazone product, 10 , was reacted with ethyl bromoacetate to furnish the thiazolin-4-one derivative, 11 . The substitution reactions of chloroacetamide derivative, 1 , with 2-mercapto-4,6-dimethylnicotinonitrile and 6-amino-2-mercaptopyrimidin-4-ol, were explored to identify the sulfide products, 14 and 17 . Cyclization of 14 into its corresponding thieno[2,3-b]pyridine compound, 15 , was performed using sodium ethoxide. The thiosemicarbazone, 10 , and sulfide derivative, 14 , were found to be the most potent antibacterial compounds against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, exhibiting growth inhibitory activities of 80.8% and 91.7%, respectively. Moreover, the thiosemicarbazone, 10 , displayed the most significant antioxidant activity with inhibitory activity of 82.6%, which comes close to the antioxidant activity of L-ascorbic acid.  相似文献

This paper aims to estimate the band alignment to CdS/CZTS hetero-interface by direct X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurements. XPS was used to determinate the valence-band offset (VBO) directly by determining the valence band positions at the hetero-interface. The conduction band offset (CBO) value was estimated based on the band gap measurements by UV/Visible spectroscopy and VBO measurements. The position of valence band (VB) changes close to the CdS-CZTS interface and the CBO is cliff-like. The band alignment diagram indicates that the CdS-CZTS interface heterojunction is type II.  相似文献
