In this paper, we study several aspects of solitary wave solutions of the rotation Benjamin‐Ono equation. By solving a minimization problem on the line, we construct a family of even travelling waves ψc,γ. We then prove the uniqueness of even ground states associated with large speed and their orbital stability. Note that this improves the results in Esfahani and Levandosky, where only the stability of the set of ground states is proven. 相似文献

We propose two nutrient-phytoplankton models with instantaneous and time delayed recycling, investigate the dynamics and examine the responses to model complexities. Instead of the familiar specific uptake rate and growth rate functions, we assume only that the nutrient uptake and phytoplankton growth rate functions are positive, increasing and bounded above. We use geometrical and analytical methods to find conditions for the existence of none, one, or at most two positive steady states and analyze the stability properties of each of these equilibria. With the variation of parameters, the system may lose its stability and bifurcation may occur. We study the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation and the possibility of stability switching. Numerical simulations illustrate the analytical results and provide further insight into the dynamics of the models, biological interpretations are given. 相似文献

A novel method called semi-discretization is employed in the formulation of discrete-time analogues of nonlinear delayed differential equations modelling cellular neural networks. The dynamical characteristics of the discrete-time analogues are studied. When the network parameters satisfy certain sufficient conditions which are independent of the delays, the discrete-time analogues for any choice on the discretization step-size are shown to be globally exponentially stable. The sufficient conditions are obtained by employing an appropriate form of Lyapunov sequences and these conditions correspond to those which have been obtained in the literature for the global exponential stability of continuous-time delayed cellular neural networks. Several examples and computer simulations are given to support our results and to demonstrate some of the advantages of the discrete-time analogues in numerically simulating their continuous-time counterparts. 相似文献

In this paper, we compute depth and Stanley depth for the quotient ring of the edge ideal associated to a square path on n vertices. We also compute depth and Stanley depth for the quotient ring of the edge ideal associated to a square cycle on n vertices, when n≡0,3,4( mod 5), and give tight bounds when n≡1,2( mod 5). The multinomial logit model is the most widely used model for the unordered multi-category responses. However, applications are typically restricted to the use of few predictors because in the high-dimensional case maximum likelihood estimates frequently do not exist. In this paper we are developing a boosting technique called multinomBoost that performs variable selection and fits the multinomial logit model also when predictors are high-dimensional. Since in multi-category models the effect of one predictor variable is represented by several parameters one has to distinguish between variable selection and parameter selection. A special feature of the approach is that, in contrast to existing approaches, it selects variables not parameters. The method can also distinguish between mandatory predictors and optional predictors. Moreover, it adapts to metric, binary, nominal and ordinal predictors. Regularization within the algorithm allows to include nominal and ordinal variables which have many categories. In the case of ordinal predictors the order information is used. The performance of boosting technique with respect to mean squared error, prediction error and the identification of relevant variables is investigated in a simulation study. The method is applied to the national Indonesia contraceptive prevalence survey and the identification of glass. Results are also compared with the Lasso approach which selects parameters. 相似文献

This paper is devoted to investigate non-vacuum solutions of cylindrically symmetric spacetime in the context of metric f(R) gravity. We take dust matter to find energy density of the universe. In particular, we find two exact solutions, which correspond to two f(R) models in each case. This paper presents the analysis of circular ring metamaterial absorber with the existing of copper lines. The structure is designed using lossy FR4 substrate with thin copper layers. The circular ring shape with copper lines is printed on the top surface of FR4 substrate, while at the bottom surface is printed with full copper ground plane. Parametric study is done to investigate the effect of copper lines on the resonance frequency. From the simulation, the circular ring metamaterial absorber with vertical copper lines can resonates at lower frequency, but this structure is polarized sensitive. This drawback can be improved by adding horizontal copper lines together with the vertical copper lines. The circular ring structure with vertical and horizontal copper lines is not only polarization insensitive, but it can works at wide operating angle of incident waves. 相似文献
