Pyrolysis-gas chromatography was used in the study of the thermal behaviour of some acrylic anion-exchangers for identification of the thermal decomposition products and their percentage estimation. The acrylic anion-exchangers were prepared by aminolysis of cross-linked acrylic ester copolymer with difunctional amines. The pyrolysis-gas chromatography studies, coupled with data obtained by thermogravimetry, showed that the acrylic anion-exchangers first lose the water easily absorbed from the air, and the decomposition starts at temperatures above 100°. The great number of decomposition products identified in the pyrograms on the thermal degradation of acrylic anion-exchangers indicated a complex degradation mechanism, with important variations in the contents of the evolved amine compounds.  相似文献

The content and composition of dietary supplements is of great interest due to their increasing consumption and variety of available brand offered in the market. Accurate determination of vitamins is important for the improvement of dietary supplement quality and nutrition assessments. In this regard, the simultaneous determination of vitamin D3 (calcitriol—CT and cholecalciferol—CHL) and K2 (menaquinone-4—MK-4 and menaquinone-7—MK-7) in dietary supplements was developed by using ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC). The overall runtime per sample was above 35 min, with the retention times of 2.40, 6.59, 7.06, and 32.6 min for vitamin D3 (CT and CHL) and vitamin K2 (MK-4 and MK-7), respectively. The limits of detection and limits of quantification for the target nutritional compounds ranged between 0.04–0.05 µg/mL, respectively. The validation results indicated that the method had reasonable linearity (R2 ≥ 0.9990), good recovery (>82%), satisfactory intra-day precision (≤1.9%) and inter-day precision (≤3.5%), and high selectivity and specificity. The validated UHPLC method was demonstrated to be precise, accurate, and robust for the simultaneous determination of vitamins D3 (CT and CHL) and K2 (MK-4 and MK-7) in dietary supplements.  相似文献

A general thermodynamic treatment is given for the protolytic equilibria in an insoluble monolayer, containing surfactant molecules with n ionizable protons and able to accept m more protons, and being spread at the liquid/gas interface. The correlation between the pH of the subphase liquid and the collapse pressure of the monolayer is discussed. By using the approximation of perfect solutions and of binary surface systems (protonated and deprotonated molecular species of the surfactant) several methods are proposed for deriving apparent surface acidity constants from experimental collapse pressure vs pH curves, in the case of both miscible in monolayer miscible in collapsed bulk phase and miscible in monolayer immiscible in collapsed bulk phase, type systems. Some of these methods are based on a complete perfect solution approximation (CA) taking into account the molar fraction of the subphase liquid in the monolayer and the others use “surfactant” approximation (SA), neglecting this molar fraction. The methods proposed are tested on monolayers of carotenoid pigments spread at aqueous solution/air interfaces. Results obtained by the different methods are rather close to each other, but the approximation CA is better than SA. The apparent surface acidity constants of different carotenoids are compared with each other and discussed in terms of molecular structure and electronic effects.  相似文献

The aim of our study consisted in obtaining ZnO nanorods using a photonic crystal (PC) structure as substrate. For obtaining of such structures, a PC presenting with electroconductive properties was chosen. Thus, the first step was represented by the synthesis of a copper nanoparticles shell composed by a maximum of seven layers of inorganic particle. This core–shell structure was subsequently used for the generation of ZnO nanorods by electrochemical deposition. The obtained materials were characterized by SEM, dynamic light scattering, UV–Vis, and X-ray powder diffraction analysis.  相似文献

The surface pressure versus molecular area isotherms of some carotenoids: β,β-carotene-4-one (echinenone, ECH), β,β-carotene-4,4′-dione (canthaxanthin, CAN) and 4,4′-diapo-ω,ω-carotene-4,4′-dial (APO), spread at the air/water interface, are reported. A van der Waals type state equation is used to describe the high molecular area portions of the compression isotherms and interaction parameters within monolayers are derived. Quantum chemical semi-empirical SCF MO calculations (AM1 and PM3) are performed for the optimized geometries of molecules and dipole moments are calculated. Similar theoretical magnitudes are obtained by both methods. Surface properties, like collapse pressure, surface compressional modulus and interaction parameters are discussed in terms of dipole-dipole interactions, and correlations with the calculated quantities for the carotenoid molecules are analyzed. The orientation of the different carotenoid molecules in the monolayer is discussed.  相似文献

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), such as DDT and analogues, hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) isomers and hexachlorobenzene (HCB), were measured in surface soils and sediments from Eastern Romania. Thirty-nine soil samples from the forested zone, eight soil samples from a municipal waste-disposal site, and 10 sediment samples from the Bahlui River along the Iassy city were analysed using accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) and gas chromatography coupled to electron capture detection or mass spectrometry. The low mean concentrations of OCPs (11–31 and 22–84?ng?g?1 for HCHs and DDTs, respectively) and PCBs (8–43?ng?g?1) in soil samples from the forested zone suggest that contamination at most of these sites occurred predominantly through atmospheric transport from zones where these compounds were used and subsequently through atmospheric deposition. Contrarily, soil samples collected in the vicinity of a waste-disposal site near Iassy contained higher mean levels of PCBs (278?ng?g?1, range 34–1132?ng?g?1) than OCPs (6 and 101?ng?g?1 of soil for HCHs and DDTs, respectively). The sediment samples collected along the Bahlui river throughout the Iassy city revealed higher mean levels of PCBs (59?ng?g?1, range 24–158?ng?g?1) compared with OCP levels (2 and 37?ng?g?1 of soil for HCHs and DDTs, respectively). Furthermore, PCB profiles and concentrations in the sediment samples varied considerably along the river due to a wide variety of sources, such as different industries and waste sites. Although their sources are difficult to evaluate, the presence of POPs at most sites (especially at the waste-disposal site) may constitute a potential health hazard.  相似文献

Riboflavin under UVA radiation generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) that can induce various changes in biological systems. Under controlled conditions, these processes can be used in some treatments for ocular or dermal diseases. For instance, corneal cross-linking (CXL) treatment of keratoconus involves UVA irradiation combined with riboflavin aiming to induce the formation of new collagen fibrils in cornea. To reduce the damaging effect of ROS formed in the presence of riboflavin and UVA, the CXL treatment is performed with the addition of polysaccharides (dextran). Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide that can be found in the aqueous layer of the tear film. In many cases, keratoconus patients also present dry eye syndrome that can be reduced by the application of topical solutions containing hyaluronic acid. This study presents physico-chemical evidence on the effect of riboflavin on collagen fibril formation revealed by the following methods: differential scanning microcalorimetry, rheology, and STEM images. The collagen used was extracted from calf skin that contains type I collagen similar to that found in the eye. Spin trapping experiments on collagen/hyaluronic acid/riboflavin solutions evidenced the formation of ROS species by electron paramagnetic resonance measurements.  相似文献
