The partial molar free energy, enthalpy, and entropy of oxygen in niobium oxides with ratios from 2.47 to 2.50 were measured with a galvanic cell in the temperature range from 1084 to 1325 K. The partial molar enthalpies of oxygen of the Nb2O5?x and V phases were observed to be nearly independent of composition, indicating the presence of only weak interactions between defects. The value of the slope for the plots of log x in Nb2O5?x against log PO2 was observed to be which is interpreted in terms of a defect structure involving both singly ionized and doubly ionized oxygen vacancies. The previously proposed phase diagram in the vicinity of Nb2O5?x was confirmed by the present emf measurements. 相似文献

Methane is shown to react with ethene over In-loaded ZSM-5 to higher hydrocarbons such as propene and toluene at around 673 K. Such methane conversion is not catalyzed by proton-exchanged ZSM-5 (H-ZSM-5) under the same conditions, only C2H4 being converted to higher hydrocarbons. By using 13C-labeled methane (13CH4) as a reactant, the reaction paths for the formation of propene, benzene and toluene were examined. 13C-labeled propene (13CC2H6) is formed by the reaction of 13CH4 with C2H4. The lack of 13C-labeled benzene revealed that propene is not transformed to benzene, which instead originates entirely from C2H4. The 13C atom is inserted both into the methyl group and benzene ring in the toluene formed. This indicates that toluene is formed by two reaction paths; the reaction of 13CC2H6 with butenes formed by the dimerization of C2H4 and the reaction of benzene with 13CH4. The existence of the latter path was proved by the direct reaction of 13CH4 with benzene. The reaction of methane with benzene was also carried out in a continuous flow system over In-loaded ZSM-5. A kinetic study was made of the formation of hydrogen and trans-vinylene unsaturation in the radiolysis of polyethylene induced by γ rays with a dose rate of 6.35 × 105 rad/hr at 30–100°C in vacuo. The rates of the formation of hydrogen and trans-vinylene unsaturation were described by the zero-order formation kinetics with respect to each concentration combined with the first-order disappearance. The apparent rate constant for the formation of hydrogen increased gradually with rising irradiation temperature to give the activation energy of 0.6 kcal/mole. On the other hand, those for the disappearance of hydrogen and the formation and disappearance of trans-vinylene unsaturation were almost independent of temperature. The G values for crosslinking and main-chain scission were obtained from the gel data by using the Charlesby-Pinner equation, and the activation energy of 1.5 kcal/mole was given for both of them. On the basis of these results the reactions induced by γ rays in solid polyethylene were discussed. 相似文献

A variety of nitrogen‐containing heterocycles were synthesized by passing vapors of aromatic amines over calcium oxide at 450–650 °C under nitrogen carrier gas. Reaction of 2‐aminobiphenyl 3a at 560 °C gave carbazole 4 in 80% yield. Reaction of 2, 2′‐diaminobiphenyl 3b afforded a mixture of carbazole 4 and 4‐aminocarbozole 6b. In the case of 2‐amino‐2′‐nitrobiphenyl 3c, benzo[c]cinnoline 7 was obtained along with carbazole 4. Reaction of 2‐amino‐2′‐methoxybiphenyl 3d gave four products of carbazole 4,4‐hydroxycarbazole 6e, phenanthridine 8 and dibenzofuran 9. Reaction of 2‐aminodiphenylmethane 5a afforded acridine 10. In the case of 2‐aminobenzophenone 5b, acridone 11 was obtained as a major product. Reaction of 2‐aminobenzhydrol 5c gave acridine 10. When 2‐aminodiphenylamine 5d was reacted, phenazine 12 was obtained in good yield. In contrast, reaction of 2‐aminodiphenyl ether 5e produced only 2‐hydroxydiphenylamine 13. A charge-transfer-type complex formation between poly(4-vinyl-N-propylpyridinium bromide) (C3PVP), poly(4-vinyl-N-butylpyridinium bromide) (C4PVP) or poly(4-vinyl-N-benzylpyridinium chloride) (BzPVP), and indole derivatives or between polymer containing flavin mononucleotide residues and indole derivatives was studied in the presence of simple and polyelectrolytes. The association constant (K) of the complex formation with indole acetate increased in the order BzPVP > C4PVP > C3PVP, which indicated an important contribution by hydrophobic interaction. The addition of simple and polyelectrolytes decreased the association constants. This was explained by the “secondary salt effect” of the salts. The importance of the electrostatic interactions in the complexation systems was obvious. The influence of simple electrolytes on the K values was discussed theoretically according to Manning's theory. 相似文献

Macroscopic and microscopic dissipative structural patterns formed in the course of drying the deionized aqueous colloidal
crystal suspensions of silica spheres (diameter: 103 nm) on a cover glass have been observed. Spoke-like and ring-like patterns
are formed in the macroscopic scale; the former is the crack in the sphere film and the latter is the hill accumulated with
spheres formed around the outside edge. The neighbored inter-spoke angle, thickness of the film, and other morphological parameters
have been discussed as a function of sphere concentration, concentration of sodium chloride, and the inclined angle of the
cover glass. Fractal patterns of the mud cracks are observed in the microscopic scale. Capillary forces between spheres at
the air-liquid surface and the relative rates between the water flow at the drying front and the convection flow of spheres
are important for the pattern formation.

The reaction of C6Cl5Ni(PPhMe2)2Cl with CHRCR′CH2MgX (X = Br or Cl) yields π-allylnickel compounds, (π-CHRCR′CH2)Ni(PPhMe2)C6Cl5 (Ia, R = R′ = H; Ib, R = H, R′ = CH3; Ic, R = CH3, R′ = H), which are stable in the solid state below ca. 150°C and are fairly stable in solution in the absence of oxygen. Macroscopic and microscopic dissipative structural patterns formed in the course of drying the fractionated and monodisperse bentonite particles (plate-like in their shape) in aqueous deionized suspension and in the presence of NaCl have been studied on a cover glass. The patterns coexisted with the broad ring of the hill accumulated with the particles and with the round hills are formed around the outside edges of the film and in the center, respectively, in the macroscopic scale. By the addition of NaCl the pattern shifts from the broad ring to the round hill in the center. The spoke-like cracks, which have been observed for the suspensions of the spherical particles so often hitherto, are not observed at all for the bentonite suspensions. The characteristic convection flow of the particles and the interactions among the particles and substrate are important for the macroscopic pattern formation. Wrinkled, branch-like and/or star-like fractal patterns are observed in the microscopic scale. These patterns are determined mainly by the electrostatic and polar interactions between the particles and/or between the particle and the substrate in the course of drying. 相似文献
