Double-excited narrow autoionization states of ytterbium atom

We report the results of theoretical and experimental research of double-excited narrow autoionization states of the ytterbium atom near the ionization limit. The energy of autoionization states of the 5d², 6p², 5d6p and 7s6p configurations was calculated. Perturbation theory with a model zero-order approximation was used in this calculation. The autoionization states of the 7s6p configuration were experimentally detected by using the method of multistep laser excitation and ionization of atoms.     

Oligomerization of ethylene of NiO-dealuminized mordenite catalyst

Conclusions When the amount of aluminum in a nickel-containing mordenite with variable degree of dealuminization is increased the total acidity of the zeolite increases, the concentration of the electron-acceptor centers, recorded by the EPR method, passes through a maximum, while the degree of ethylene conversion varies within narrow limits.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 1, pp. 223–225, January, 1978.     

Red‐Shifted Fluorescent Aminated Derivatives of a Conformationally Locked GFP Chromophore

A novel class of fluorescent dyes based on conformationally locked GFP chromophore is reported. These dyes are characterized by red‐shifted spectra, high fluorescence quantum yields and pH‐independence in physiological pH range. The intra‐ and intermolecular mechanisms of radiationless deactivation of ABDI‐BF2 fluorophore by selective structural locking of various conformational degrees of freedom were studied. A unique combination of solvatochromic and lipophilic properties together with “infinite” photostability (due to a dynamic exchange between free and bound dye) makes some of the novel dyes promising bioinspired tools for labeling cellular membranes, lipid drops and other organelles.
