Charakterisierung der in der Fett- und Seifenindustrie verwendeten Carbons?uren durch Oxydation mit Chroms?ure

Zusammenfassung Es wird eine Methode zur Charakterisierung der in der Fett- und Seifenindustrie verwendeten organischen Säuren ausgearbeitet. Das Verfahren beruht auf der oxydativen Spaltung der Substanz mit Chromsäure und Schwefelsäure unter den Bedingungen der C-Methyl-gruppenbestimmung und auf der alkalimetrischen Titration der gebildeten, mit Wasserdampf flüchtigen Säuren. Das Ergebnis der Bestimmung, ausgedrückt in Milligrammen KOH, die zur Neutralisation der aus 1 g Substanz gebildeten flüchtigen Säuren erforderlich sind, wird als Kuhn-Rothsche Zahl bezeichnet. Das Verhältnis der Kuhn-Rothschen Zahl und der Säurezahl ist für den Typus der Säure charakteristisch, und es ist möglich, mittels dieses Verhältnisses die Naphthensäuren von den Fettsäuren und Harzsäuren zu unterscheiden.Wir danken dem Akademiker R. A phthalocyanine-mestranol conjugate for photodynamic therapy prepared via click chemistry

Introduction of an azide group onto the periphery of a photodynamically effective phthalocyanine (Pc) derivative gives a useful building block for the preparation of Pc conjugates via Cu(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (‘click chemistry’). In this way, Pc-mestranol and Pc-hept-1-yne conjugates (for comparison purposes) are synthesized and their absorption, photochemical, and photophysical properties are studied. The conjugate retains the advantageous photophysical and photochemical properties of Pc. Conjugation with mestranol may lead to improved localization in tumors whereas the Pc unit is responsible for the photodynamic effect.     

Brachistochrone on a surface with Coulomb friction

The problem of brachistochronic motion of a particle on a surface with the simultaneous action of gravity and Coulomb friction has been solved. Analytical solutions of the problem in special cases have been found. In the case of a cylindrical surface, it is shown that the solutions found includes, as a special case, all well-known results which refer to the brachistochronic motion of a particle. The results are illustrated with a series of concrete examples.     

Toeplitz operators and weighted Bergman kernels

For a smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain, we describe the boundary singularity of weighted Bergman kernels with respect to weights behaving like a power (possibly fractional) of a defining function, and, more generally, of the reproducing kernels of Sobolev spaces of holomorphic functions of any real order. This generalizes the classical result of Fefferman for the unweighted Bergman kernel. Finally, we also exhibit a holomorphic continuation of the kernels with respect to the Sobolev parameter to the entire complex plane. Our main tool are the generalized Toeplitz operators of Boutet de Monvel and Guillemin.     

On Double Basic Algebras and Pseudo-effect Algebras

Double basic algebras are a counterpart of bounded lattices with order-antiautomorphisms on principal filters. In the paper, an independent axiomatization of double basic algebras is given and lattice pseudo-effect algebras are characterized in the setting of double basic algebras.
