An understanding of the CO2 adsorption mechanisms on small-pore zeolites is of practical importance in the development of more efficient adsorbents for the separation of CO2 from N2 or CH4. Here we report that the CO2 isotherms at 25–75 °C on cesium-exchanged phillipsite zeolite with a Si/Al ratio of 2.5 (Cs-PHI-2.5) are characterized by a rectilinear step shape: limited uptake at low CO2 pressure (PCO2) is followed by highly cooperative uptake at a critical pressure, above which adsorption rapidly approaches capacity (2.0 mmol g−1). Structural analysis reveals that this isotherm behavior is attributed to the high concentration and large size of Cs+ ions in dehydrated Cs-PHI-2.5. This results in Cs+ cation crowding and subsequent dispersal at a critical loading of CO2, which allows the PHI framework to relax to its wide pore form and enables its pores to fill with CO2 over a very narrow range of PCO2. Such a highly cooperative phenomenon has not been observed for other zeolites.  相似文献

2-Acetyl-6-(dimethylamino)naphthalene-derived two-photon fluorescent Ca2+ probes (ACa1-ACa3) are reported. They can be excited by a 780 nm laser beam, show 23-50-fold enhancement in one- and two-photon excited fluorescence in response to Ca2+, emit fourfold stronger two-photon excited fluorescence than Oregon Green 488 BAPTA-1 upon complexation with Ca2+, and can selectively detect intracellular free Ca2+ ions in live cells and living tissues with minimum interference from other metal ions and membrane-bound probes. Moreover, these probes are capable of monitoring calcium waves at a depth of 120-170 microm in live tissues for 1100-4000 s using two-photon microscopy with no artifacts of photobleaching.  相似文献

We have analyzed the oxygen and hydrogen isotopic composition of juices from fruits and vegetables collected from a small orchard in order to investigate the differences in isotopic enrichment and evaporation intensity between fast-growing vegetables and slow-growing fruits grown under the same climatic conditions. The oxygen and hydrogen isotope levels were much higher in the juices of the fruits and vegetables than in the source waters in which they grew because of evaporation effects. According to our data, fast-growing vegetables are subject to greater evaporation than slow-growing fruits. An evaporation experiment using the source water showed that the oxygen and hydrogen isotopic composition of the 60-80% residual fraction was similar to that of the isotopically enriched grape juice, whereas those of the plume and tomato juices were very close to that of the 80-90% residual fraction, thus proving the effect of evaporation. We report a new two-photon fluorescence turn-on probe 6-[(E)-3-oxo-1-dodecenyl]-2-[N-methyl-N-(carboxymethyl)amino]naphthalene (CL2) that is designed specifically for visualizing lipid rafts in living cells and tissues. This probe emits much brighter two-photon excited fluorescence in lipid rafts than in non-raft domains and allows direct visualization of the lipid rafts in the live cells and pyramidal neuron layer of the CA1 region at a depth of 100-250 mum in live tissues using two-photon microscopy.  相似文献

A cytocompatible method of surface‐initiated, activator regenerated by electron transfer, atom transfer radical polymerization (SI‐ARGET ATRP) is developed for engineering cell surfaces with synthetic polymers. Dopamine‐based ATRP initiators are used for both introducing the ATRP initiator onto chemically complex cell surfaces uniformly (by the material‐independent coating property of polydopamine) and protecting the cells from radical attack during polymerization (by the radical‐scavenging property of polydopamine). Synthetic polymers are grafted onto the surface of individual yeast cells without significant loss of cell viability, and the uniform and dense grafting is confirmed by various characterization methods including agglutination assay and cell‐division studies. This work will provide a strategic approach to the generation of living cell–polymer hybrid structures and open the door to their application in multitude of areas, such as sensor technology, catalysis, theranostics, and cell therapy.  相似文献

The inhibition of AKR1B10 has been recognized as a potential therapeutic approach to the treatment of various types of cancers. A novel series of compounds with imino-2H-chromen and phenylimino-2H-chromen scaffolds were synthesized by Knoevenagel condensation reaction. The in vitro cytotoxic activity of synthesized compounds was evaluated against MOLT-4 and SK-OV-3 cells. Among the tested compounds, N-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-(phenylimino)-2H-chromene-3-carboxamide (8g) demonstrated potent inhibitory activity against both examined cell lines. The results of the molecular docking study suggested that this compound is involved in critical hydrogen-bonding interactions with the Val301 and Lue302 of AKR1B10 catalytic site.  相似文献

A novel, two-photon probe for the detection of free Mg2+ ions in living cells and live tissues has been developed. The probe can be excited by 880 nm laser photons, emits strong two-photon excited fluorescence in response to Mg2+ ions, can be easily loaded into the cell and tissue, shows high photostability, and can measure the Mg2+ ion concentration without interference by Ca2+ ions in living cells. The intracellular dissociation constant (Kdi) for Mg2+ determined by the two-photon process is 2.5 mM, which is suitable for dynamic Mg2+ concentration measurement. In addition, the probe is capable of imaging endogenous stores of free Mg2+ at a few hundred micrometers depth in live tissues using two-photon microscopy (TPM).  相似文献

A low-complexity design problem of tracking scheme for uncertain nonholonomic mobile robots is investigated in the presence of unknown time-varying input delay. It is assumed that nonlinearities and parameters of robots and their bounds are unknown. Based on a nonlinear error transformation, a tracking control scheme ensuring preassigned bounds of overshoot, convergence rate, and steady-state values of a tracking error is firstly presented in the absence of input delay, without using any adaptive and function approximation mechanism to estimate unknown nonlinearities and model parameters and computing repeated time derivatives of certain signals. Then, we develop a low-complexity tracking scheme to deal with unknown time-varying input delay of mobile robots where some auxiliary signals and design conditions are derived for the design and stability analysis of the proposed tracking scheme. The boundedness of all signals in the closed-loop system and the guarantee of tracking performance with preassigned bounds are established through Lyapunov stability analysis. The validity of the proposed theoretical result is shown by a simulation example.  相似文献
