To ensure and to confirm the required traceability according to the definition given in the International Vocabulary of Basic and Standard Terms in Metrology, three main aspects need to be considered in practice: “stated reference”, “unbroken chain of calibration” and “stated uncertainty”. For a certain spectrochemical result, each of the aspects above mentioned is highly dependent on measurement uncertainty, both on its magnitude and how it was estimated. The paper describes the experience of the Romanian National Institute of Metrology (INM) in estimating measurement uncertainty during certification of reference materials, in metrological calibration and during specific analytical processes. Practical examples of the use of reference materials or certified reference materials issued by the INM to estimate measurement uncertainty are discussed for their applicability in spectrochemical and turbidity analysis. Some aspects of the use of analysis of variance (ANOVA) to obtain additional information on the components of measurement uncertainty and to identify the magnitude of individual random effects are presented.  相似文献

A comparative study is presented on neutron activation analysis of rock and soil samples using whole reactor neutron spectrum and epithermal neutrons with both relative and monostandard procedures. The latter procedure used with epithermal neutron activation analysis of soil samples necessitated the use of the “effective resonance integrals” which were determined experimentally. The incorporation of the β factor, representing deviation of reactor epithermal neutron flux from 1/E law, is developed in the present work. The main criteria for the choice of one or more of the procedures studied for a given purpose are also indicated. Analysis of 15 trace elements, Ca and Fe in the standard Japanese granite JC-1 using monostandard epithermal neutron activation gave results in good agreement with the average literature values. Several molecular tools have been used to clarify the basis of plant-bacteria interaction; however, the mechanism behind the association is still unclear. In this study, we used a proteomic approach to investigate the root proteome of Zea mays (cv. DKB240) inoculated with Herbaspirillum seropedicae strain SmR1 grown in vitro and harvested 7 days after inoculation. Eighteen differentially accumulated proteins were observed in root samples, ten of which were identified by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry peptide mass fingerprint. Among the identified proteins, we observed three proteins present exclusively in inoculated root samples and six upregulated proteins and one downregulated protein relative to control. Differentially expressed maize proteins were identified as hypothetical protein ZEAMMB73_483204, hypothetical protein ZEAMMB73_269466, and tubulin beta-7 chain. The following were identified as H. seropedicae proteins: peroxiredoxin protein, EF-Tu elongation factor protein, cation transport ATPase, NADPH:quinone oxidoreductase, dinitrogenase reductase, and type III secretion ATP synthase. Our results presented the first evidence of type III secretion ATP synthase expression during H. seropedicae-maize root interaction.  相似文献

Transition metals can have a significant impact in research related to the dosage optimization of superplasticizers. It is known that the presence of transition metals can influence such doses, and the application of a contemporary instrumental method to obtain the profiles of subsisting transition elements in concrete mixtures would be useful. In this work, inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) is investigated as a possible tool to track traces of transition metals in concrete mixtures. Depth profiling using ICP-MS on proofed and unproofed concrete shows the presence of Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn at trace intensities in the bulk of the samples under investigation. The study demonstrates that the transition metals present in the concrete sample are largely a part of the cement composition and, to a minor degree, a result of exposure to the seawater after curing. The coated concrete samples have a metal distribution pattern similar to the uncoated samples, but slight differences in intensity bear testimony to the very low levels that originate from the exposure to seawater. While X-ray diffraction fails to detect these traces of metals, ICP-MS is successful in detecting ultra-trace intensities to parts per trillion. This method is not only a useful application to track traces of transition metals in concrete, but also provides information to estimate the pore size distribution in a given sample by very simple means.  相似文献

We report on the fabrication of solution-processed organic phototransistors (OPTs) based on perylenebis(dicarboximide)s (PDIs). We found that the responsivity to the photoillumination depends on the transistor's channel length and that it can be tuned by varying the device geometry. The analysis of different morphologies of the active semiconducting layer revealed that single PDI fibers exhibit the higher photoresponse when compared to more poorly organized films. The highest responsivity value of 4.08 ± 1.65 × 10(5) A/W was achieved on a multifiber-based OPT. These findings represent a step forward toward the use of organic based phototransistors as photosensors.  相似文献

The optical properties of solid samples of polymethyl-methacrylate doped with fulgide photochromic molecules were studied. The transmittance of a thin plate sample was measured when both the activation (UV) and bleaching wavelengths are employed. The samples were used as an optical switch where an UV pulse switches a visible signal beam. The behaviour of these compounds as holographic materials, studied by efficiency measurements at varying grating steps, is reported.  相似文献

The solution structure of folic acid was determined by the combined use of NMR experimental results, mechanics and dynamics calculations, and theoretical simulation of NMR spectra. The solution structure of folic acid showed a different molecular rearrangement to the X-Ray conformation. In particular, we identified a hydrogen bond which stabilizes a folded glutamic acid molecular moiety between the NH(18) and the C(23) carboxylic group. A different spatial conformation of the phenyl ring was also found.  相似文献
