This study presents an easy and cost-effective flow-based cloud point extraction (CPE) method for determining partial amounts of two organophosphorus pesticides (phosalone and ethion) in seawater by HPLC–UV–Vis. In continues CPE methodology, the effect of the different column packing type such as carbon nanotube, polyacrylonitrile nanofiber and fiberglass on pesticide extraction was investigated. The Triton X-100 was utilized as nonionic surfactant, and moreover, effect of different parameters such as pH, temperature, extraction time, surfactant concentration, type and volume of the eluent solution on the extraction efficiency was optimized. Under optimum conditions, the figures of merit of the method for phosalone and ethion were obtained as: the enrichment factor (172 and 166), line range (0.8–300 and 0.5–300 µg L?1, R 2 = 0.9973 and 0.9982), relative standard deviation in concentration of 200 µg L?1 (%RSD = %5.4 and %7.99, N = 5) and limit of detection (LOD = 0.24 and 0.14 µg L?1). The suggested method was successfully used for determination of phosalone and ethion in Chabahar Bay seawaters with satisfactory results. 相似文献

Numerical simulation of the steady and laminar convection in the thermal entry region of the finned annulus is carried out
for the case of hydrodynamically fully developed flow when subjected to uniform heat flux thermal boundary condition. Finite
difference based marching procedure is used to compute the numerical solution of the energy equation. The results to be presented
include Nusselt number, as a function of dimensionless axial length and thermal entrance length for various configurations
of the finned double-pipe. The numerical results show that Nusselt number has complex dependence on the geometric variables
like ratio of radii, fin height, and number of fins. A comparison of the computed results for certain limiting cases with

The photocatalytic degradation of a herbicide derivative, Dinoterb (1), has been investigated in aqueous micellar solution in the presence of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and air as a function of irradiation time under a variety of conditions using UV and HPLC analysis techniques. The degradation kinetics was studied under different conditions such as different types of TiO2, catalyst concentration, substrate concentration and reaction pH in the presence of air. The photocatalyst Degussa P25 was found to be more efficient catalyst as compared to other photocatalysts tested. The model compound was found to degrade more efficiently under neutral pH as compared to acidic and alkaline pH. GC/MS analysis of the irradiated samples indicate the formation of 2-isopropyl-4,6-dinitro-phenol as by-product which has been characterized on the basis of molecular ion and mass fragmentation pattern. A novel sample preparation technique, the microextraction method based on a dynamic single drop in a narrow-bore tube, coupled with gas chromatography-flame ionization detection (GC-FID) is presented in this paper. The most important features of this method are simplicity and high enrichment factors. In this method, a microdrop of an extraction solvent assisted by an air bubble was repeatedly passed through a narrow-bore closed end tube containing aqueous sample. It has been successfully used for the analysis of some pesticides as model analytes in aqueous samples. Parameters affecting the method's performance such as selection of extraction solvent type and volume, number of extractions, volume of aqueous sample (tube length), and salt effect were studied and optimized. Under the optimal conditions, the enrichment factors (EFs) for triazole pesticides were in the range of 141-214 and the limits of detection (LODs) were between 2 and 112 μg L−1. The relative standard deviations (C = 1000 μg L−1, n = 6) were obtained in the range of 2.9-4.5%. The recoveries obtained for the spiked well water and grape juice samples were between 71 and 106%. Low cost, relatively short sample preparation time and less solvent consumption are other advantages of the proposed method. 相似文献

Automated flow-based anion-exchange method for high-throughput isolation and real-time monitoring of RuBisCO in plant extracts 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this work, a miniaturized, completely enclosed multisyringe-flow system is proposed for high-throughput purification of RuBisCO from Triticum aestivum extracts. The automated method capitalizes on the uptake of the target protein at 4 °C onto Q-Sepharose Fast Flow strong anion-exchanger packed in a cylindrical microcolumn (105 × 4 mm) followed by a stepwise ionic-strength gradient elution (0-0.8 mol/L NaCl) to eliminate concomitant extract components and retrieve highly purified RuBisCO. The manifold is furnished downstream with a flow-through diode-array UV/vis spectrophotometer for real-time monitoring of the column effluent at the protein-specific wavelength of 280 nm to detect the elution of RuBisCO. Quantitation of RuBisCO and total soluble proteins in the eluate fractions were undertaken using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) and the spectrophotometric Bradford assay, respectively. A comprehensive investigation of the effect of distinct concentration gradients on the isolation of RuBisCO and experimental conditions (namely, type of resin, column dimensions and mobile-phase flow rate) upon column capacity and analyte breakthrough was effected. The assembled set-up was aimed to critically ascertain the efficiency of preliminary batchwise pre-treatments of crude plant extracts (viz., polyethylenglycol (PEG) precipitation, ammonium sulphate precipitation and sucrose gradient centrifugation) in terms of RuBisCO purification and absolute recovery prior to automated anion-exchange column separation. Under the optimum physical and chemical conditions, the flow-through column system is able to admit crude plant extracts and gives rise to RuBisCO purification yields better than 75%, which might be increased up to 96 ± 9% with a prior PEG fractionation followed by sucrose gradient step. 相似文献

This paper reports an automated analytical method for rapid determination of plutonium isotopes (239Pu and 240Pu) in environmental solid extracts. Anion exchange chromatographic columns were incorporated in a sequential injection (SI) system to undertake the automated separation of plutonium from matrix and interfering elements. The analytical results most distinctly demonstrated that the crosslinkage of the anion exchanger is a key parameter controlling the separation efficiency. AG 1-×4 type resin was selected as the most suitable sorbent material for analyte separation. Investigation of column size effect upon the separation efficiency revealed that small-sized (2 mL) columns sufficed to handle up to 50 g of environmental soil samples. Under the optimum conditions, chemical yields of plutonium exceeded 90% and the decontamination factors for uranium, thorium and lead ranged from 103 to 104. The determination of plutonium isotopes in three standard/certified reference materials (IAEA-375 soil, IAEA-135 sediment and NIST-4359 seaweed) and two reference samples (Irish Sea sediment and Danish soil) revealed a good agreement with reference/certified values. The SI column-separation method is straightforward and less labor intensive as compared with batch-wise anion exchange chromatographic procedures. Besides, the automated method features low consumption of ion-exchanger and reagents for column washing and elution, with the consequent decrease in the generation of acidic waste, thus bearing green chemical credentials. 相似文献

Cathodic stripping mechanism of an insoluble salt coupled with a homogenous chemical reaction is considered both theoretically and experimentally under conditions of square‐wave voltammetry. For the mercury electrode in aqueous solution, the electrode reaction is described as L(aq)+Hg(l)=HgL(s)+2e?, where L(aq) is the reactive ligand that forms a sparingly soluble compound HgL(s). The electrode reaction is coupled with a homogenous, first‐order chemical reaction, A(aq)=L(aq). The unique spectroelectrochemical properties of the sensing material enable its use for optical sensing of redox species,
whereby ascorbic acid and hydrogen peroxide have been chosen as model analytes. The reported SI-sensor system features fast
and reproducible determination of both analytes in the submillimolar range of concentrations. The construction concept demonstrated

The aim of this paper is to present a novel fuzzy modified technique of order preference by a similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method by a group of experts, which can select the best alternative by considering both conflicting quantitative and qualitative evaluation criteria in real-life applications. The proposed method satisfies the condition of being the closest to the fuzzy positive ideal solution and also being the farthest from the fuzzy negative ideal solution with multi-judges and multi-criteria. The performance rating values of alternatives versus conflicting criteria as well as the weights of criteria are described by linguistic variables and are transformed into triangular fuzzy numbers. Then a new collective index is introduced to discriminate among alternatives in the evaluation process with respect to subjective judgment and objective information. This paper shows that the proposed fuzzy modified TOPSIS method is a suitable decision making tool for the manufacturing decisions with two examples for the robot selection and rapid prototyping process selection. 相似文献
