The transient heat transfer behavior in the case of heat removal from a cylindrical heat storage vessel packed with spherical particles was investigated experimentally for various factors (flow rate, diameter of spherical particles packed, temperature difference between flowing cold air and spherical particles accumulating heat, and physical properties of spherical particles). The experiments were covered in ranges of Reynolds number based on the mean diameter of spherical particles packed Red = 10.3–2200, porosity?=0.310 to 0.475, ratio of spherical particle diameter to cylinder diameterd/D = 0.0075–0.177 and ratio of length of the cylinder to cylinder diameterL/D=2.5–10. It was found that especially the flow rate and the dimension of spherical particles played an important role in estimating the transient local heat transfer characteristics near the wall of the cylindrical vessel in the present heat storage system. As flow rate and diameter of spherical particles were increased under a given diameter of the cylinder heat storage vessel, the mean heat transfer coefficient between the flow cold air and the hot spherical particles increased and the time period to finish removing heat from the vessel reduced. K1115 B1, isolated from the broth of Streptomyces species, was found to be a mixture of stereoisomers. Authors synthesized all stereoisomers of K1115 B1 by convergent synthesis coupling a rhamnose derivative, an isobenzofuranone, and a chiral tetraol. Comparison of 1H NMR spectra and optical rotations made it clear that the absolute structures of K1115 B1α (the major isomer) and K1115 B1β (the minor isomer) were (1R, 17S)- and (1R, 17R)-configurations, respectively. The optical rotations of the stereoisomers revealed that alnumycin, reported as the identical structure with K1115 B1, might be another mixture of stereoisomers. 相似文献

Interactions between proteins and biomaterial surfaces correlate with many important phenomena in biological systems. Such interactions have been used to develop various artificial biomaterials and applications, in which regulation of non-specific protein adsorption has been achieved with bioinert properties. In this research, we investigated the protein adsorption behavior of polymer brushes of dendrimer self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) with other generations. The surface adsorption properties of proteins with different pI values were examined on gold substrates modified with poly(amidoamine) dendrimer SAMs. The amount of fibrinogen adsorption was greater than that of lysozyme, potentially because of the surface electric charge. However, as the generations increased, protein adsorption decreased regardless of the surface charge, suggesting that protein adsorption was also affected by density of terminal group. 相似文献

The quadrupole coupling constants of8Li and12B in hcp Mg and Zn are determined by use of a newly developed nuclear quadrupole resonance technique (NNQR) as ¦eqQ(8Li in Mg)/h¦=3.0±0.3 kHz, ¦eqQ(8Li in Zn)/h¦=33.5±2 kHz, and ¦eqQ(12B in Mg)/h¦=47.0±0.1 kHz. Correspondingly, the electric field gradients at room temperature are deduced: ¦q(8Li in Mg)¦=(3.81±0.39)×1018, ¦q(8Li in Zn)¦=(4.25±0.27)×1019, and ¦q(12B in Mg)¦=(1.47±0.03)×1020, all in V/m2. The experiments are compared with the results of first-principles super-cell band structure calculations which can treat local lattice relaxations around the impurity nuclei. The calculations show that the most favorable location of these light interstitials in hcp Mg is not the octahedral-like sites which have the biggest interstitial volume, but the basal trigonal sites with a local lattice expansion of as big as 30%.
