We have observed flux penetrations into square superconducting networks of Nb with various thicknesses and hole-shapes by using magneto-optical imaging method. The penetrated pattern does not depend on the thickness and extends along diagonal direction when the samples have smaller area in the intersection of networks. We have also observed similar superconducting networks with and without small holes at the intersection. The small holes at the intersection do not work as a promoter for the diagonal flux penetration though the parallel flux penetration becomes weak. The C‐terminal octapeptide of cholecystokinin (CCK8) includes some easily oxidizable amino acids. The oxidation of CCK8 by reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and hydroxyl radicals (OH?) was investigated using reversed‐phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP‐HPLC) and subsequent electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. The mechanism of oxidation of CCK8 in the H2O2 system differed from that of CCK8 in the Fenton system, in which OH? are produced. In the H2O2 system, 28Met and 31Met were oxidized to methionine sulfoxide, and no further oxidation or degradation/hydrolysis occurred. On the other hand, in the Fenton system, 28Met and 31Met residues were oxidized to methionine sulfone via the formation of methionine sulfoxide. In addition, the oxidized product was observed at the Trp residue but not at the Tyr residue, and small peptide fragments from CCK8 were observed in the Fenton system. The single crystal of CaGa2S4:Eu is expected as a useful laser material with a high quantum efficiency of light emission. However, as far as our knowledge is concerned, the systematic study of the mixed compounds of Ca(1−x)EuxGa2S4 as a function of x has not been reported up to now. Here, we have first constructed the phase diagram of the CaGa2S4 and EuGa2S4 pseudo binary system, and show that it forms the solid solution. Then we have grown single crystals of these compounds. The maximum photoluminescence efficiency is achieved at x=0.25. From the three peak energies observed in the photoluminescence excitation (PLE) and absorption spectra, the 5d excited states are suggested to consist of three levels arising from the multiplets of Eu2+ ions. 相似文献

It is well known that cellulolytic enzymes hardly attack lignocellulose. Hitherto knowledge, however, has not yet fully elucidated the mechanisms of the inhibition; whether it depends on a steric hindrance or protein-binding inhibition. For the purpose of acceleration of enzymatic digestion of lignocellulose biomass, the study was carried out using partially purified cellulase of Meicelase and milled wood lignin from soft or hard wood. Milled wood lignin was prepared from soft wood,Picea jezoensis, or from hard wood,Quercus serrata, by the method of Björkman. Lignin was dissolved in methyl cellosolve, since the solvent has little effect on cellulolytic activities, and enzymic activities were followed with partially purified Meicelase. The results show that cellobiose activities of enzymes fromTrichoderma viride are markedly depressed by both lignin of soft and hard wood, and the former lignin inhibits the reaction stronger than the latter. Lignins show no inhibition in the reaction with CMC and debris of filter paper. Liberation of glucose from filter paper by the enzyme in the presence of lignin is also depressed, and addition of cellobiase instead of lignin in the above enzyme reaction shows the delay of time for breakdown of filter paper. This phenomenon indicates that lignin inhibits enzymic decomposition of cellobiose in the degradation pathway of cellulose and accumulated cellobiose gives a feedback function to digestion of fibers of paper. 相似文献

We make predictions for spin asymmetries in the production of gauge bosons, such as Z0, Wsu± and γ, at large pT from the collision of longitudinally polarized hadrons using QCD perturbation theory and the electroweak gauge model in the framework of a hard scattering model. Asymmetries typically at the 20% and 4% level are predicted for the weak bosons and photon, respectively. Experimental tests should be possible in the near future, e.g., at Fermilab, ISABELLE and colliding SPS. 相似文献
