We report for the first time that boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) may be dissolved in organic solvents by wrapping them with a polymer. Transmission electron microscopy and cathodoluminescence studies indicate the strong pi-pi interactions between BNNTs and the polymer. A band gap ranging from 5.2 to 5.5 eV was documented for the BNNTs independent of their geometrical characteristics by using ultraviolet-visible absorption experiments on composite films and thin BNNT films prepared from solutions. 相似文献

This paper develops a quantitative k-nearest neighbors modeling technique. The technique is used to demonstrate that a compound's biological binding activity to a receptor can be calculated from the minimum of the square root of the sum of squared deviations (SSSD) of a structurally assigned chemical shift on a template between the unknown compound to be predicted and a set of known compounds with known activities. When building models of biological activity, nonlinear relationships are built into the input training data. If a model is developed by selecting only compounds with minimum structurally assigned chemical shift deviations from the unknown compound, some of the nonlinear relationships can be removed. The smaller the total chemical shift deviation between a compound with known activity and another compound with unknown activity, the more likely it will have similar biological, chemical, and physical properties. This means that a model can be produced without rigorous statistics or neural networks. This technique is similar to structure-activity relationship (SAR) modeling, but instead of relying on substructure fragments to produce a model, this new model is based on minimum chemical shift differences on those substructure fragments. We refer to this method as minimum deviation of structurally assigned spectra analysis (MiDSASA) modeling. Modeling by the minimum deviation concept can be applied to other chemoinformatic data analyses such as metabolite concentrations in metabolic pathways for metabolomics research. A MiDSASA template model for 30 steroids binding the corticosterone binding globulin based on the activity factors of the two nearest compounds had a correlation of 0.88. A MiDSASA template model for 50 steroids binding the aromatse enzyme based on the average activity of the four nearest compounds had a correlation of 0.71. 相似文献

inhibition. Arginase-catalyzed the hydrolysis of L-arginine toL-ornithine and urea and the inhibition of this reaction by sodium fluoride were studied in the absence and presence of exogenous
of Mn2+at 37°C in 40 mM sodium barbiturate-hydrochloric acid buffer solution (pH 7.4). Both methods were successively used to determine
the values of K1. The advances and disadvantages of each method were compared in this paper. Exogenous Mn2+ could result in more sensitivity of arginase to F-1. Since the inhibition of arginase by F-1 depends on the pH values of the reaction system and behave as a non-competitive inhibition, it probably due to its small
volume and high electronic density allow it access to the activity site of the enzyme and replaces of μ-OH2 (or μ-OH) as the bridge ligand with Mn(II, II) cluster. However, further studies are necessary to determine the modes of
interaction of F-1 with bovine liver arginase.

The drug-loaded alginate/poly-L-arginine/chitosan ternary complex microcapsules were prepared by mixing method, absorption method and the combined method of mixing and absorption, respectively. The effect of drug-loading methods on drug load, the encapsulation efficiency and the release properties of the complex microcapsules were investigated. The results showed that the absorption process is a dominating factor to greatly increase the drug load of Hb into microcapsules. Upon loading Hb into microcapsules by combined method of mixing and absorption, the drug load (19.9%) is up to the maximum value, and the encapsulation efficiency is 93.8%. Moreover, the drug release is a zero-order kinetics process for the ternary complex microcapsules made by mixing. For the complex microcapsules made by absorption, the drug release is a first-order kinetics. However, for the complex microcapsules made by combining the mixing and the absorption, the drug release obeys a first-order kinetics during the first eighteen hours, changing afterwards to a zero-order kinetics process. Anode-supported tubular solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) with Cu–CeO2–yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) anode, YSZ electrolyte film, and silver cathode were fabricated. The cells were tested with 5 wt% Fe-loaded activated carbon and dry CO, respectively, and their performances were compared to verify the reaction mechanism of direct carbon SOFCs (DC-SOFCs). The corresponding current–voltage curves and impedance characteristics of the cells operating on these two different fuels were found to be almost the same at high temperatures, demonstrating the presumed mechanism that the anode reaction of a DC-SOFC is the electrochemical oxidation of CO, just as in a SOFC operated directly on CO. Micron-sized cellulose microspheres were prepared through sol-gel method using NaOH/urea solution to dissolve cellulose, then cross-linked by 1,6-hexanylene diisocyanate (HDI), toluene 2,4-diisocyanate (TDI) and 1,4-phenylene diisocyanate (PDI), respectively. The reaction conditions for partial modification of the microspheres were studied. The degree of substitution (DS) in cellulose was controlled by adjusting the reaction conditions. HDI-crosslinked microspheres were partially modified with phenyl isocyanate to obtain chiral stationary phases (CSPs). The CSPs of a lower degree of crosslinking (DC) showed better chiral recognition ability than those of a higher DC. Hemostatic effects of oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) are well-known but its mechanism has never been demonstrated clearly. Since thrombus formation is a kind of surface phenomenon, we changed the morphology of cellulose to form a kind of membrane with ionic liquid as solution, and also we prepared ORC films with nitrogen dioxide(NO2)/carbon tetrachloride(CCl4) oxidation system reacting for 16, 40, 64 and 88 h, respectively. FTIR and NMR spectra showed that NO2/CCl4 oxidation system had a high selectivity on hydroxyl group at C6 of regenerated cellulose. With the oxidation time prolonging, the carboxyl content was enhanced and the DP was reduced. The XPS results suggested that a new carboxyl bond was formed due to the increasing of oxygen content. From contact angle analysis, the wettability of blood on the ORC film surface was better than that of the regenerated cellulose film, which was beneficial for the blood to spread. SEM photographs showed that the ORC film oxidized for 40 h could adsorb and activate more platelets and erythrocytes. Hemostatic evaluation and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay indicated that the ORC film had a dramatic hemostatic performance, and the products of platelets release reaction, activated platelets glycoprotein and activated clotting enzymes were increased simultaneously. A kind of aziridine crosslinkers was synthesized and used to crosslink acrylate copolymers. The crosslinkingproperties and curing kinetics of the resin were studied. It was found that with the increase of the content of crosslinker in theemulsion, the mechanical properties and solvent resistance of the resin will be apparently improved, but its glass transitiontemperature (T_g) is very low. The lowest amount of crosslinker used in the acrylic resin emulsion is 0.25%. Curing kineticsstudied by DSC show that this curing reaction occurs readily because the apparent activation energy of the reaction is low(65.1 kJ/mol).
