RING-OPENING POLYMERIZATION OF TRIMETHYLENE CARBONATE CATALYZED BY NOVEL SINGLE COMPONENT RARE EARTH CALIXARENE COMPLEXES

In this paper, ring-opening polymerization of trimethylene carbonate (TMC) with rare earth (Nd, Y, La) p-tert-butylcalix[n]arene (n=4, 6, and 8) complexes as catalysts has been studied. Poly(trimethylene carbonate) (PTMC) with Mv of 21,400 was produced by bulk polymerization under the conditions as follows: [TMC]0/[Nd] (molar ratio)=1000,80℃,8h. Mechanism study reveals that the polymerization proceeds via a coordination mechanism.

Synthesis, characterization and luminescence study of dimethyl(β-ketoiminato)gallium (-indium) complexes: crystal structure of dimethyl[1-phenyl-3-N-(4-methoxyphenylimino)-1-butanonato]gallium

Six dimethylgallium (indium) complexes of type Me₂ML [M = Ga, L = 1-phenyl-3-N-(phenylimino)-1-butanonato (1), 1-phenyl-3-N-(p-methoxyphenylimino)-1-butanonato (2), 1-phenyl-3-N-(o-chloro phenylimino)-1-butanonato (3); M = In, L = 1-phenyl-3-N-(phenyl imino)-1-butanonato (4), 1-phenyl-3-N-(p-methoxyphenylimino)-1-butanonato (5), 1-phenyl-3-N-(o-chlorophenylimino)-1-butanonato (6)] have been synthesized by reaction of trimethylgallium (indium) with appropriate 1-phenyl-3-N-(arylimino)-1-butanones. The complexes obtained have been characterized by elemental analysis, ¹H NMR, IR and mass spectroscopy. Structure of 2 has been determined by X-ray single-crystal analysis, in which Ga atom is four coordinated. Complexes 1-6 emit colors from blue to green (463-491 nm) when irradiated by UV light. The electroluminescent (EL) properties of 1-6 were examined by fabricating EL devices using 1-6 as emitter, respectively. The EL bands are located in the green region (509-522 nm).

Electrodeposition of nanocrystalline zinc from acidic sulfate solutions containing thiourea and benzalacetone as additives

Nanocrystalline zinc coatings were produced by pulse electrodeposition in acid sulfate bath containing thiourea and benzalacetone additives and characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy techniques. The influence of benzalacetone concentration and pulse peak current density on the grain size and crystallographic orientation of zinc deposits was investigated. Zinc electrodeposited from additive-free solutions or with one of the two additives is not composed of nanosized crystals. The mixture additives of thiourea and benzalacetone give rise to the formation of particle-like nanocrystalline zinc with a (10ī1) random orientation. A change in peak current density from 2 to 1 A/cm² only increases the grain size from 60 to 62 nm.     

聚醚型多嵌段共聚物软链段结晶特性的研究

本文使用虹外光谱及膨胀计等方法,对聚四亚甲基醚二醇类多嵌段共聚物的软链段结晶性进行了研究。在聚醚-聚酯多嵌段共聚物中(PTMEG>60％),其软链段结晶的熔点和结晶速率均随PTMEG含量减少而下降。而在聚醚-聚脲胺酯多嵌段共聚物中,由于N—H和C—O—C之间氢键的作用,即使在低温下,其软链段也难于结晶。此外,高倍拉伸会提高上述二类多嵌段共聚物中软链段结晶的熔点和结晶速率。     

Surface-enhanced Raman spectra study of metal complexes of N-D-glucosamine beta-naphthaldehyde and glycine and their interaction with DNA

Copper(II), zinc(II), cobalt(II) and cobalt(III) complexes of N-D-glucosamine beta-naphthaldehyde (C17H19O6N, NG) and glycine were synthesized. The four novel metal complexes, Cu(II)C19H28O11N2(CuGNG), Zn(II)C19H24O9N2 (ZnGNG), Co(II)C19H28O11N2(Co(II)GNG) and Co(III)C21H29O12N2(Co(III)GNG) were characterized by means of infrared (IR), electronic absorption spectroscopy and NMR etc. The surface-enhanced Raman spectra of the four complexes and their interaction with DNA were studied. By comparison of the surface-enhanced Raman spectra (SERS), the information of the four complexes' SER active sites and adsorption orientation were obtained. Combined with fluorescence spectra of Ethidium bromide (EthBr) DNA system, we concluded that none of the four complexes intercalate into DNA and that the presence of the glycine ligand lowered the anticancer activity of NG series complexes.     

1,4-二乙氧基苯的相转移催化合成

采用大孔型交联聚苯乙烯为载体研究制得新型季Lin盐型相转移催化剂Y98B，并将其于1，4－二乙氧基苯的催化合成反应，进行了产品的红外光谱分析和熔点测定，探讨了催化剂用量、对苯二酚与溴乙烷物的质量比、反应温度和反应时间等动力学条件对产品收率的影响。确定了在反应温度为70℃,mol对苯二酚：mol溴乙烷＝1：3．5，反应时间4h，催化剂用量3．0g的条件下产品收率可达84.3%。
