Let G be a finite graph with an eigenvalue µ of multiplicity m. A set X of m vertices in G is called a star set for µ in G if µ is not an eigenvalue of the star complement G\X which is the subgraph of G induced by vertices not in X. A vertex subset of a graph is (κ, τ)-regular if it induces a κ-regular subgraph and every vertex not in the subset has τ neighbors in it. We investigate the graphs having a (κ, τ)-regular set which induces a star complement for some eigenvalue. A survey of known results is provided and new properties for these graphs are deduced. Several particular graphs where these properties stand out are presented as examples. 相似文献

The phenomenon of heterogeneous photocatalysis takes place in the degradation process of many organic contaminants on solid surfaces. Photocatalysis is based on the excitation of the semiconductor by irradiation with supraband gap photons and the migration of electron-hole pairs to the surface of the photocatalysts, leading to the reaction of the holes with adsorbed H2O and OH? to form hydroxyl radicals. Due to the stability and photosensitivity of TiO2 semiconductors, this system is well studied and is of great interest from an ecological and industrial point of view for use in the field of building materials. Clay roofing tiles, due to their long-term exploitation, are subject to physical, chemical and biological degradation that leads to deterioration. Ceramic systems have a high percentage of total porosity and considering their non-tolerance of organic coating, the use of surface active materials (SAM) that induce porosity in TiO2 coatings is of vital significance. Photocatalytic coatings applied on clay roofing tiles under industrial conditions were designed by varying the quantity of TiO2 (mass/cm2) on the tile surface (thin and thick TiO2 layer). The positive changes in specific surface area and mesopore structure of the designed coatings were made by the addition of PEG 600 as a surface active material. It was shown that a thin photocatalytic layer (0.399 mg suspension/cm2 tile surface), applied onto ceramic tiles under industrial conditions, had better photocatalytic activity in methylene blue decomposition, hydrophilicity and antimicrobial activity than a thick photocatalytic coating (0.885 mg suspension/cm2). 相似文献

Chocolate is considered as both caloric and functional food. Its nutritional properties may be improved by addition of fiber; however, this may reduce polyphenols content. The aim of this research was to determine the influence of cocoa shell addition (as a source of fiber) and its combination with different ingredients (cocoa butter equivalents (CBE), emulsifiers, dairy ingredients) on polyphenols of dark and milk chocolates. Total polyphenol (TPC) and total flavonoid (TFC) contents were determined spectrophotometrically, identification and quantification of individual compounds by high pressure liquid chromatography and antioxidant capacity by ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay. Results showed that even though addition of cocoa shell to chocolate results in reduced contents of TPC, TFC, and individual compounds, it is not significant compared to ones reported by other authors for commercial chocolates. Other ingredients influence determined values for all investigated parameters; however, additional research is needed to reveal exact mechanisms and implications. 相似文献

Heterocycles containing group 13 and 15 elements such as borazines are an integral part of organic, biomedical and materials chemistry. Surprisingly, heterocycles containing P and Al are rare. We have now utilized phosphaalumenes in reactions with alkynes, alkenes and conjugated double bond systems. With sterically demanding alkynes 1,2-phosphaalumetes were afforded, whereas the reaction with HCCH or HCCSiMe3 gave 1,4-phosphaaluminabarrelenes. Using styrene saturated 1,2-phosphaalumates were formed, which reacted further with additional styrene to give different regio-isomers of 1,4-aluminaphosphorinanes. Using ethylene, a 1,4-aluminaphosphorinane is obtained, while with 1,3-butadiene a bicyclic system containing an aluminacyclopentane and a phosphirane unit was synthesized. The experimental work is supported by theoretical studies to shed light on the mechanism governing the formation of these heterocycles. 相似文献

Two new Zn(II) complexes bearing tridentate hydrazone-based ligands with NNO or NNS donor atoms were synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis, infrared (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopies, and single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. These complexes, together with four previously synthesised analogues, having hydrazone ligands with a NNO donor set of atoms, were successfully employed as catalysts in the ketone-amine-alkyne (KA2) coupling reaction, furnishing tetrasubstituted propargylamines, compounds with unique applications in organic chemistry. DFT calculations at the CAM-B3LYP/TZP level of theory were performed to elucidate the electronic structure of the investigated Zn(II) complexes, excellently correlating the structure of the complexes to their catalytic reactivity. 相似文献

The cytotoxicity of avarol, a main secondary metabolite of the Mediterranean sponge Dysidea avara, was in vitro screened by MTT assay against four human tumour cell lines. The colon HT-29 tumour cells practically showed to be the only sensitive ones towards this organic compound. No toxicity was found against the fetal lung fibroblast MRC-5 cells at the concentrations tested. In comparison with doxorubicin, used as a positive control, avarol actually exhibited at least 588-fold less toxicity towards normal MRC-5 cells. Finally, comet assay indicated that DNA fragmentation was almost fivefold higher upon the treatment with doxorubicin, compared to avarol. The obtained results have actually confirmed that avarol scaffold may contribute to development of new cytostatics inspired by nature. 相似文献

We have investigated the possibility of developing high-performance, cost-effective and durable non-noble Co metal electrocatalyst for PEMFC. In this work we applied electrodeposition process for PEMFC electrode preparation that is very efficient and far simpler than any other investigated method. The fuel cell with electrodeposited Co as anode catalyst has shown satisfying performance level. In determining FC’s operating conditions, subsequent electrochemical impedance and output power measurements were done, which enable the insight into the Co catalyst based anode behavior. Structure analysis of the electrodeposited anode layer was done by means of SEM and EDS technique. Although the Pt catalyst has higher efficiency, its cost performance ratio is significantly lower than for the Co catalyst, thus this investigation gives interesting possibilities in area of stationary fuel cell application. 相似文献
