A method has been developed for identification of corrosive iron–gall inks in historical drawings and documents. The method is based on target-factor analysis of visible–near infrared fibre optic reflection spectra (VIS–NIR FORS). A set of reference spectra was obtained from model samples of laboratory-prepared inks covering a wide range of mixing ratios of basic ink components deposited on substrates and artificially aged. As criteria for correspondence of a studied spectrum with a reference spectrum, the apparent error in target (AET) and the empirical function SPOIL according to Malinowski were used. The capability of the proposed tool to distinguish corrosive iron–gall inks from bistre and sepia inks was evaluated by use of a set of control samples of bistre, sepia, and iron–gall inks. Examples are presented of analysis of historical drawings from the 15th and 16th centuries and written documents from the 19th century. The results of analysis based on the tool were confirmed by XRF analysis and colorimetric spot analysis.

A bi-hybrid composite is represented by an organic-inorganic (O-I) filler dispersed in an O-I matrix. Polyaniline-montmorillonite, as a nanocomposite filler, was synthesised by two independent processes: (1) montmorillonite was surface-modified with a conducting polymer, polyaniline, during the in-situ oxidation of aniline or (2) montmorillonite was pre-treated with aniline, then the aniline was polymerised and the polyaniline subsequently produced penetrated the montmorillonite structure. The organic-inorganic polymer matrix was formed in two independent steps: (1) inorganic building units were formed in situ by the sol-gel process, (2) followed by organic polymeric matrix formation by polyaddition reactions of epoxy groups with amines. Polyaniline-montmorillonite filler was added to the reaction system between these two steps, i.e. when the inorganic structures of the O-I matrix have already been formed but prior to formation of the organic polymeric matrix. Two different O-I matrices were prepared from functionalised organosilicon precursors and oligomeric amines. 3-[(Glycidyloxy)propyl]trimethoxysilane reacted with α,ω-oligo(propylene oxide) diamine and diethoxy[3-(glycidyloxy)propyl]-methylsilane reacted with α,ω-oligo(propylene oxide) triamine. The resulting bi-hybrid coatings, the O-I filler dispersed in the O-I matrix, were characterised by atomic-force and optical microscopies, and also by tensile tests. The filler composition affected both the mechanical and surface properties of the coatings.  相似文献

Nanocomposites based on poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by in situ radical polymerization of MMA in solution. The surface of TiO2 nanoparticles was modified with four gallic acid esters (octyl, decyl, lauryl and cetyl gallate). The content of gallates present on the surface of TiO2 was calculated from the TGA results. The influence of length of hydrophobic tail of amphiphilic alkyl gallates on dispersability of surface modified TiO2 nanoparticles in PMMA matrix, the molecular weight and glass transition temperature of PMMA, as well as the thermal stability of the prepared PMMA/TiO2 nanocomposites in nitrogen and air was investigated. The influence of content of TiO2 nanoparticles on the properties of these nanocomposites was also examined. The formation of a charge transfer complex between the surface Ti atoms and the gallates was confirmed by FTIR and UV spectroscopy. TEM micrographs of the PMMA/TiO2 nanocomposites revealed that degree of TiO2 aggregation can be significantly lowered by increasing the length of aliphatic part of the used gallates. The molecular weight of PMMA slightly decreases with the increase of TiO2 content, indicating that used TiO2 nanoparticles act as radical scavengers during the polymerization of MMA. The presence of surface modified TiO2 nanoparticles do not have an influence on the mobility of PMMA chain segments leading to the same values of glass transition temperature for all investigated samples. Thermal and thermo-oxidative stability of the PMMA matrix are improved by introducing TiO2 nanoparticles modified with gallates.  相似文献

The results of ab initio calculations of the vibronically averaged components of the anisotropic magnetic hyperfine tensor in the low-lying vibronic species of the X (2)Pi electronic state of CCCH and CCCD are reported. The electronically averaged hyperfine coupling constants for hydrogen and (13)C in (12)C (12)C (12)CH, (13)C (12)C (12)CH, (12)C (13)C (12)CH, (12)C (12)C (13)CH, and (12)C (12)C (12)CD are obtained as functions of two bending vibrational modes by the density functional theory method. The vibronic wave functions are calculated with help of a variational approach which takes into account the Renner-Teller effect and spin-orbit coupling. The results of the present study help to reliably interpret the experimental data previously published and predict the yet unobserved hyperfine structure in excited vibronic states of CCCH and CCCD.  相似文献

Novel copolymer brushes have been synthesized by a two-step "grafting from" method that consists of the electrografting of poly(2-phenyl-2-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidin-1-yloxy)-ethylacrylate) onto stainless steel, followed by the nitroxide-mediated radical polymerization of 2-(dimethylamino ethyl)acrylate and styrene or n-butyl acrylate, initiated from the electrografted polyacrylate chains. The grafted copolymers were quaternized in order to endow them with antibacterial properties. Peeling tests have confirmed the strong adhesion of the grafted copolymer onto the stainless steel substrate. Quartz crystal microbalance experiments have proven that fibrinogen adhesion is lower on the hydrophilic quaternized films compared to the nonionic counterpart. Such quaternized copolymers exhibit significant antibacterial activity against the Gram-positive bacteria S. aureus and the Gram-negative bacteria E. coli.  相似文献

The results of an ab initio study of the magnetic hyperfine structure in the X (2)Pi electronic state of CCCH are reported. The potential surfaces for two components of the X (2)Pi electronic state were computed by means of an extensive configuration interaction approach. The electronically averaged hyperfine coupling constants of H and (13)C for (12)C (12)C (12)CH, (13)C (12)C (12)CH, (12)C (13)C (12)CH, and (12)C (12)C (13)CH are obtained as functions of two bending vibrational modes by the density functional theory method. The vibronic wave functions are calculated with the help of a variational approach which takes into account the Renner-Teller effect and spin-orbit coupling. The model Hamiltonian is expressed in terms of the normal bending coordinates. It is found that, due to the generally strong geometry dependence of the hyperfine coupling constants, it is necessary to carry out the vibronic averaging of the corresponding functions in order to obtain the values which can be compared to the results of the measurements. The results of the present study help to reliably interpret the experimental data previously published. They also predict the yet unobserved hyperfine structure in excited vibronic states.  相似文献

Chemiluminescent labelling, which is one of the promising procedures of modern immunodiagnostics, is increasingly carried out using acridinium derivatives, an oxidant, and an alkaline aqueous environment. However, the efficiency of the chemiluminescence of luminol or acridinium esters is higher in non-aqueous solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide or acetonitrile. Therefore, the search for a new environment for the chemiluminescence reaction, especially the one characterized by a higher quantum yield of chemiluminescence, is one of the aims of current research. Using computational methods (DFT and TD DFT with PCM model of solvent), we examined thermodynamic and kinetic data concerning the chemiluminescence and competitive dark pathways. Our results suggest that better characteristics of the chemiluminescence reaction of acridinium thioester are observed in nonpolar solvents, such as methylcyclohexane, n-hexane and n-pentane, than in aqueous media used so far. Further experimental verification is necessary to confirm the possible application of proposed nonpolar solvents in chemiluminescent labelling and hence in immunodiagnostics.  相似文献

The first example of layer-by-layer growth of a metal–organic framework (MOF) directly on transmission electron microscopy (TEM) grids is described. ZIF-8 is deposited on thin amorphous carbon films and subjected to a structure analysis by (scanning) TEM ((S)TEM). This method serves as a two-in-one synthesis and TEM sample-preparation technique and allows straightforward analysis of ZIF-8 crystallites. Artifacts resulting from sample preparation are completely avoided by this approach. The morphological properties, crystal structure, and the chemical composition of the material are investigated with high spatial resolution by a variety of methods of (analytical) electron microscopy. Furthermore, the incorporation of metallic nanoparticles in ZIF-8 by integrating a corresponding step into the layer-by-layer deposition process is examined. The formation of ZIF-8 crystals on the film proceeds as under the absence of nanoparticle-forming synthesis steps. However, the nanoparticles rather cover the supporting amorphous carbon film than being incorporated in the ZIF-8 material. This information cannot be obtained from standard characterization techniques but requires the application of analytical (S)TEM techniques.  相似文献

We first show asymptotic L 2 bounds for a class of equations, which includes the Burger-Sivashinsly model for odd solutions with periodic boundary conditions. We consider the conditional stability of stationary solutions of Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation in the periodic setting. We establish rigorously the general structure of the spectrum of the linearized operator, in particular the linear instability of steady states. In addition, we show conditional asymptotic stability with asymptotic phase, under a natural spectral hypothesis for the corresponding linearized operator. For the zero solution, we have more precise results. Namely, in the non-resonant regime L ≠ n π, we prove conditional asymptotic stability, provided one considers only mean value zero data. If, however, L = n 0 π (but still ò\nolimits-LL u0(x) dx=0{\int\nolimits_{-L}^L u_0(x) dx=0}), then we have conditional orbital stability. More specifically, the solutions relax to a small (but generally non-zero) function as long as the initial data are small and lie on a center-stable manifold of codimension 2(n 0 − 1).  相似文献
