Reaction of 2,3-dioxopyrrolo[2,1-<Emphasis Type="Italic">a</Emphasis>]iso-quinolines with binucleophiles

The reaction of 2,3-dioxopyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines with binucleophiles such as 2-amino-4-methyl-phenol, o-aminothiophenol, and caprolactam hydrazidine proceeds with opening of the dioxopyrroline ring and is accompanied by heterocyclization to give heteroaromatic benzoxazole, benzothiazole, and 1,2,4-triazole systems. Heterocyclization does not occur in the reaction of o-hydroxybenzylamine, o-aminobenzyl alcohol, and the hydrazide of anthranilic acid; the corresponding linear N-benzylamide, benzyl ester, and diacylhydrazide products are formed.     

Reaction of enamines of the isocholine and phenanthridine series with oxalyl chloride

Compounds of the 2,3-dioxopyrrolo[2, 1-a]isoquinoline and 2,3-dioxopyrrolo[1, 2-f]phenanthridine series were synthesized and the products of their condensation with o-phenylenediamine were obtained.Institute of Applied Chemistry, Ural Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, Perm' 614600. Transport Equations of Plasma in a Curvilinear Magnetic Field

The problem of transport equations of a collisional plasma in a curvilinear magnetic field is studied. Two main approaches to this problem are presented: that based on using the Boltzmann kinetic equation and the drift kinetic equation approach. In the frame of the first approach a multimoment transport equation set is found which is more general than the transport equation sets of Braginskii and Grad. The tensor equations of this set are described in an arbitrary curvilinear coordinate system. This allow to use these equations in problems of a plasma confined in toroidal magnetic configurations. Simplification of the multimoment transport equation set in the case of high magnetic field is performed. In the frame of the drift kinetic equation approach, a generalization of the drift transport equations derived earlier by the authors (Zh. Eksp. Teor. Fiz. 83 (1982) 139) is given.

Electroluminescence and Spectral Properties of N9‐Isobutyl‐2‐Oxo‐3‐Phenyl‐3N‐Benzo[F]Chromene‐9‐Sulfonamide

Experimental data on the synthesis and spectral properties (UV, IRFourier, xray photoelectronic, and luminescence spectra) of the sulfonamide derivative of benzocoumarin in an isopropanol solution and in a film applied by thermal vacuum deposition (TVD film) are reported. The use of TVD films of the investigated substance as electroluminophors is shown to be promising.     

Synthesis and alkylation of amidines of the phenanthridine series

A number of 6-aminophenanthridines have been synthesized; upon alkylation, these compounds form amidinium salts. Depending on the structure of the original amidine, the alkylation may proceed at the exocyclic (n-alkyl), phenanthridine (N-aryl), or pyridine [N-(2-pyridyl)] nitrogen atom.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 10, pp. 1361–1364, October, 1991.     

Synthesis of 3,3-Dialkyl-1-(3-coumarinyl)-3,4-dihydroisoquinolines

The reaction of dialkylbenzylcarbinols with 3-cyanocoumarin in the presence of sulfuric acid gave 3,3-dialkyl-1-(3-coumarinyl)-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline.
