Stable gaseous aziridinium ions

Gaseous protonated aziridine ions are produced at the threshold from β-phenoxyethylamine molecular ions. The evidence for this is collisional activation spectra, using various precursors (including labelled analogues) under electron impact and field ionization conditions. Partial conversion to the acyclic \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ {\rm CH}_{\rm 3} {\rm CH = }\mathop {\rm N}\limits^ + {\rm H}_{\rm 2} $\end{document} isomer occurs at higher electron energies and is rationalized by means of a potential energy surface constructed from energetic data.     

Heterocyclen aus α-nitroolefinen. XI . 1,2-oxazine aus α-nitroolefinen und β-dicarbonylverbindungen

Dihydro-1,2-oxazines 8 and 12-oxazines 12 are formed by the reaction of the nitronic acids of the adducts of α-nitroolefins and β-dicarbonyl compounds ( 6 ) by two ways: A ) The nitronic acids 6 are heated in a boiling solution of urea in ethanol or methanol. B ) The nitronic acids 6 are reduced with an aqueous solution of ammoniachloride and sodium sulfide. ¹H-nmr and ¹³C-nmr investigations prove the constitutions. The mechanism is discussed.     

Heterometall-Komplexe mit E6-Liganden (E = P,As)

Heterometallic Complexes with E₆ Ligands (E = P, As) The reaction of [Cp*Co(μ-CO)]₂ 1 with the sandwich complexes [Cp*Fe(η⁵-E₅)] 2 a: E = P, 2 b: E = As in decalin at 190°C affords besides [CpCo₂E₄] 4: E = P, 7: E = As and [CpFe₂P₄] 5 the trinuclear complexes [(Cp*Fe)₂(Cp*Co)(μ-η²-P₂)(μ₃-η^1:2:1-P₂)₂] 3 as well as [(Cp*Fe)₂(Cp*Co)(μ₃-η^2:2:2-As₃)₂] 6 . With [Mo(CO)₅(thf)] 3 and 6 form in a build-up reaction the tetranuclear clusters [(Cp*Fe)₂(Cp*Co)E₆{Mo(CO)₃}] 10: E = P, 11: E = As. 3, 6 and 11 have been further characterized by an X-ray crystal structure determination.     

TheSemmler-Wolff aromatization andSchmidt reaction applied to some pyrido[2′,3′:3,4]pyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]benzotriazines

Pyrido[2,3:3,4]pyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]benzotriazin-4(1H)ones were transformed via their oximes in aSemmler-Wolff aromatization process in the tetracyclic heteroaromatic amines4 or bySchmidt reaction into a mixture of the same amine4 and a ring enlarged lactam3. Syntheses of some halo pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines and a photochemical transformation of 3-azidopyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine are also described.

Über dieSemmler-Wolff- undSchmidt-Reaktion einiger Pyrido[2,3:3,4]pyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]benzotriazine

Zusammenfassung Pyrido[23:3,4]pyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]benzotriazin-4(1H)one werden über Oxime in einerSemmler-Wolff-Reaktion in die tetracyklischen aromatischen Amine4 umgewandelt. In einerSchmidt-Reaktion wurden dieselben Ketone in ein Gemisch aus Amin4 und Lactam3 übergeführt. Synthesen von halogensubstituierten Pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridinen und photochemische Umwandlung von 3-Azidopyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin werden beschrieben.

     

Die Hydrohalogenierung von Hexaphenyldigerman und die Schwingungsspektren einiger Ge2(C6H5) n X6−n -Verbindungen

The reactions of Ge₂(C₆H₅)₆ with HCl and HBr lead in nearly quantitative yields to the 1,1,2,2-tetrahalo derivatives Cl₂(C₆H₅)GeGe(C₆H₅)Cl₂ (I) and Br₂(C₆H₅)GeGe(C₆H₅)Br₂ (II), resp. The Si?Ge bond of (C₆H₅)₃SiGe(C₆H₅)₃ is cleaved under the conditions of hydrohalogenation. The vibrational spectra of Ge₂Br₆, Ge₂(C₆H₅)₆, I, and II are reported. The influence of vibrational coupling on ν GeGe in these compounds is discussed in detail, including vibrational calculations.     

Darstellung und Kristallstruktur von Cadmiumazid Cd(N3)2

Preparation and Crystal Structure of Cadmium Azide Cd(N₃)₂ Solvent free, binary cadmium azide was synthesized by the reaction of cadmium carbonate and a 24 weight% solution of HN₃ in water. Cadmium azide is a colorless, crystalline powder which is highly sensitive to percussion and heat. Caution, the manipulation of Cd(N₃)₂ is very dangerous! The crystal structure was solved by single‐crystal methods and the phase purity was verified by a Rietveld refinement (Cd(N₃)₂, Pbca, no. 61; a = 7.820(2), b = 6.440(2), c = 16.073(3) Å; Z = 8, 1174 independent reflections, 64 parameters, R1 = 0.022). Cadmium azide crystallizes in a new structure type. In the crystal there are edge‐sharing Cd₂(N₃)₁₀ double octahedrons which are further connected to other units by azide bridges. Vibrational spectroscopic investigations (Raman an IR) are discussed with respect to the crystal structure data.     

A new synthetic approach for imidazo[1,2-a]imidazoles and pyrrolo[1,2-a]imidazoles

Substituted pyrrolo[1,2-a]imidazoles and imidazo[1,2-a]imidazoles are prepared in a simple one pot reaction sequence from esters of heterocyclic or aromatic α-amino acids. The reaction involves condensation with acetoine followed by cyclization with either malonodinitrile, ethyl cyanoacetate or cyanamide.

Equilibrium Measurements by the Transport Method. Determination of the Enthalpie of Formation ΔH°(NbOCl_2,f) by Chemical Transport in the Diffusion Tube By means of chemical transport in an ampoule with a well defined diffusion path the equilibrium NbOCl_2,s + NbCl_5,g ? NbOCl_3,g + NbCl_4,g has been investigated. Introducing a reaction entropy ΔS = 45 cl one gets ΔH = 38(±2) kcal/formula weight and ΔH⁰(NbOCl_2,s)= ?187,6 kcal/mol.     

Transformations of N-heteroarylformamidines into derivatives of β-heteroarylamino-α,β-dehydro-α-amino acids, β-heteroarylamino-α-amino acids,and dipeptides

Transformations of N'-heteroaryl-N,N-dimethylformamidines 1 as a general method for the preparation of β-heteroarylamino-α,β-dehydro-α-amino acids, β-heteroarylamino-α-amino acid derivatives 5–9 , and dipeptides 10 , are described.     

Heterocycles from amino acids. A novel synthetic approach for imidazo[1,5-a]pyridines and imidazo[1,5-a]quinolines

From the corresponding heterocyclic amino acids 2 and 9a the heterocyclic systems imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine ( 3 ) and imidazo[1,5-a]quinoline ( 10 ) are easily accessible. From compound 7 the tricyclic system 11 was prepared and from compound 17a a pyridyl-1,2,4-triazinone ( 18 ) could be obtained.
