NMR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and quantum chemical calculations were used for conformational behavior study of partially alkylated thiacalix[4]arenes bearing methyl (1), ethyl (2), or propyl (3) groups at the lower rim. The conformational properties are governed by two basic effects: (i) stabilization by intramolecular hydrogen bonds, and (ii) sterical requirements of the alkoxy groups at the lower rim. While the monosubstituted derivatives 1a and 3a adopt the cone conformation in solution, distally disubstituted compounds 1b, 1'b, 2b, 2'b, 3b, and 3'b exhibit several interesting conformational features. They prefer pinched cone conformation in solution, and, except for 3'b, they form also 1,2-alternate conformation, which is flexible and undergoes rather fast transition between two identical structures. The crystal structures of the compounds 1b, 2b, 2'b, and 3b revealed yet quite rare 1,2-alternate conformation forming molecular channels held together by pi-pi interactions. Different channels-with hexagonal symmetry, 0.26 nm wide-are formed in the crystal structure of the pinched cone conformation of 3b. An uncommon hydrogen bonding pattern was found in dimethoxy and dipropoxy derivatives 1'b and 3'b that adopt distorted cone conformations in crystal. Trialkoxy-substituted compounds 1c and 3c adopt the partial cone conformation in solution. A higher mobility of methyl derivative 1c enables also existence of the cone conformer. 相似文献

New bifunctional H(4)dota-like ligands with three acetic acid and one phosphinic acid pendant arms and propionate (H(5)do3ap(PrA)) or 4-aminobenzyl (H(4)do3ap(ABn)) reactive groups bound to the phosphorus atom were investigated. Potentiometric studies showed that the ligands have a similar basicity to the parent H(4)dota and the stability constants of their complexes with sodium(i) and selected lanthanide(III) ions are also similar. Formation and acid-assisted decomplexation kinetics of yttrium(III) complexes with a series of H(4)dota-like ligands (H(4)dota and its phosphinic/phosphonic acid analogues) were studied and the reactions are sensitive to a slight modification of the ligand structure. The (2-carboxyethyl)phosphinic acid derivative H(5)do3ap(PrA) and the phosphonic acid ligand H(5)do3ap form complexes faster than H(4)dota. The most kinetically inert complex is that with H(4)do3ap(ABn). Rates of complexation and decomplexation can depend on the ability to transfer proton(s) outside/inside the complex cavity and, therefore, on the hydrophobicity of the ligands. The results demonstrate that the new bifunctional ligands are suitable for labelling biomolecules with yttrium(iii) radioisotopes for utilization in nuclear medicine. 相似文献

We report on the great advantages of using deep UV Raman system for in situ planetary applications. Among them are to be mentioned: (I) higher scattering efficiency compared to VIS-IR Raman excitation wavelengths, (II) electronic resonance effects which increase the intrinsically weak Raman signal thus improving the S/N ratio of the detected Raman signals and (III) spectral separation of Raman and fluorescence signals. All these advantages are making UV Raman a valuable technique for in situ planetary applications. Mineral as well as biological samples were analyzed using Raman deep UV excitation and the results are presented. For the mineral samples a comparison with excitation in the NIR-VIS spectral regions is made. The impact of fluorescence on Raman data acquisition at different laser excitation wavelengths is assessed. Making use of the resonance effects, spectra of microorganisms were recorded with a high S/N ratio, allowing afterwards a very precise identification and classification (to the strain level) of the measured samples. 相似文献

We report a facile, seed-mediated method to synthesize nanoscale gold truncated ditetragonal nanoprisms (TDPs) enclosed by 12 high-index {310} facets. The method leads to the formation of nanoparticles with high size and shape monodispersity and allows for easy surfactant removal. The dependence of particle shape on the synergetic contribution of metallic ions, halide ions, and surfactant adsorbates during synthesis is described. The resulting high-index nanoparticle facets were demonstrated as efficient activators of a supported catalytic material (platinum). A Pt monolayer deposited onto the Au TDP nanofacets with sharp electrochemical signatures exhibits an enhanced catalytic activity. 相似文献

In the field of inhalation toxicology, progress in the development of in vitro methods and efficient exposure strategies now offers the implementation of cellular-based systems. These can be used to analyze the hazardous potency of airborne substances like gases, particles, and complex mixtures (combustion products). In addition, the regulatory authorities require the integration of such approaches to reduce or replace animal experiments. Although the animal experiment currently still has to provide the last proof of the toxicological potency and classification of a certain compound, in vitro testing is gaining more and more importance in toxicological considerations. This paper gives a brief characterization of the CULTEX® Radial Flow System exposure device, which allows the exposure of cultivated cells as well as bacteria under reproducible and stable conditions for studying cellular and genotoxic effects after the exposure at the air–liquid or air–agar interface, respectively. A commercial bronchial epithelial cell line (16HBE14o-) as well as Salmonella typhimurium tester strains were exposed to smoke of different research and commercial available cigarettes. A dose-dependent reduction of cell viability was found in the case of 16HBE14o- cells; S. typhimurium responded with a dose-dependent induction of revertants. The promising results recommend the integration of cellular studies in the field of inhalation toxicology and their regulatory acceptance by advancing appropriate validation studies. 相似文献

Helium nanodroplets are co-doped with C(60) and ammonia. Mass spectra obtained by electron ionization reveal cations containing ammonia clusters complexed with up to four C(60) units. The high mass resolution of Δm/m≈ 1/6000 makes it possible to separate the contributions of protonated, unprotonated and dehydrogenated ammonia. C(60) aggregates suppress the proton-transfer reaction which usually favors the appearance of protonated ammonia cluster ions. Unprotonated C(x)(NH(3))(n)(+) ions (x = 60, 120, 180) exceed the abundance of the corresponding protonated ions if n < 5; for larger values of n the abundances of C(60)(NH(3))(n)(+) and C(60)(NH)(n-1)NH(4)(+) become about equal. Dehydrogenated C(60)NH(2)(+) ions are relatively abundant; their formation is attributed to a transient doubly charged C(60)-ammonia complex which forms either by an Auger process or by Penning ionization following charge transfer between the primary He(+) ion and C(60). The abundance of C(x)NH(3)(+) and C(x)NH(4)(+) ions (x = 120 or 180) is one to two orders of magnitude weaker than the abundance of ions containing one or two additional ammonia molecules. However, a model involving evaporation of NH(3) or NH(4) from the presumably weakly bound C(x)NH(3)(+) and C(x)NH(4)(+) ions is at odds with the lack of enhancement in the abundance of C(120)(+) and C(180)(+). Mass spectra of C(60) dimers complexed with water complement a previous study of C(60)(H(2)O)(n)(+) recorded at much lower mass resolution. 相似文献

Dissociative electron attachment to dialanine and alanine anhydride has been studied in the gas phase utilizing a double focusing two sector field mass spectrometer. We show that low-energy electrons (i.e., electrons with kinetic energies from near zero up to 13 eV) attach to these molecules and subsequently dissociate to form a number of anionic fragments. Anion efficiency curves are recorded for the most abundant anions by measuring the ion yield as a function of the incident electron energy. The present experiments show that as for single amino acids (M), e.g., glycine, alanine, valine, and proline, the dehydrogenated closed shell anion (M-H)(-) is the most dominant reaction product. The interpretation of the experiments is aided by quantum chemical calculations based on density functional theory, by which the electrostatic potential and molecular orbitals are calculated and the initial electron attachment process prior to dissociation is investigated. 相似文献

Abstract
Electrochemistry coupled with mass spectrometry (EC–MS) is a promising analytical tool for the online study of oxidation processes of anthocyanins. Two cyanidin glycosides, cyanidin-3-galactoside (ideain) and cyanidin-3,5-diglucoside (cyanin), were subjected to electrochemical oxidation and subsequent online mass spectrometric identification of the formed products. Application of relatively low working potentials (around 100 mV vs. Pd/H2) using a porous graphite coulometric electrode yielded detectable oxidation products. As determined by hydrodynamic voltammetry, the monoglycosylated analogue undergoes anodic oxidation easier than the diglycosylated one. As a first step of the electrochemically induced oxidation, incorporation of a hydroxyl group was observed for both glycosides. Besides, an oxidative condensation of two anthocyanin molecules was observed. The proposed oxidative condensation was further confirmed by consecutive fragmentation (i.e., collection of MS2, MS3, and MS4 spectra) in which corresponding subsequent losses of the sugar moiety were observed. 相似文献559.

The distribution of SO(3)H-functional groups attached to the ordered inner pore walls of mesoporous Si-MCM-41 materials based on SiO(2) was investigated by gas adsorption combined with in situ small angle neutron scattering (SANS). The functionalization was performed by two different methods, (i) grafting and (ii) co-condensation. The adsorbates N(2) at 77 K or a H(2)O/D(2)O mixture of 42:58 at 298 K possess neutron scattering length densities (SLD) similar to that of SiO(2) and therefore quench the diffraction signals of the nonmodified silica. SANS measurements show that N(2) matches completely not only with the pristine mesoporous Si-MCM-41 but also with Si-MCM-41-SO(3)H functionalized by grafting. Thus, full access of adsorbate into the entire length of the pores is proven. For the analysis of the distribution of functional groups within the pores in dependence on the used functionalization method, grafting or co-condensation, however, the more specific adsorbate H(2)O/D(2)O (42:58) is necessary, because it reacts more sensitively toward small changes in the SLD of the host material. For grafted Si-MCM-41-SO(3)H materials, an incomplete quenching was observed, indicating that only some regions, probably the pore mouths, have been modified. For a sample functionalized by co-condensation, almost no quenching of the neutron diffraction was found, indicating a very homogeneous distribution of the functional groups along the entire pores. 相似文献

Proteomics techniques are increasingly applied for the identification of protein binders in historical paints. The complex nature of paint samples, with different kinds of pigments mixed into, and degradation by long term exposure to light, humidity and temperature variations, requires solid analysis and interpretation methods. In this study matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectra of tryptic-digested paint replicas are subjected to principal component analysis (PCA) and soft independent modelling of class analogy (SIMCA) in order to distinguish proteinaceous binders based on animal glues, egg white, egg yolk and milk casein from each other. The most meaningful peptide peaks for a given protein class will be determined, and if possible, annotated with their corresponding amino acid sequence. The methodology was subsequently applied on egg temperas, as well as on animal glues from different species. In the latter small differences in the MALDI-TOF mass spectra can allow the determination of a mammal or sturgeon origin of the glue. Finally, paint samples from the 16(th) century altarpiece of St Margaret of Antioch (Mlynica, Slovakia) were analysed. Several expected peaks are either present in lower abundance or completely missing in these natural aged paints, due to degradation of the paints. In spite of this mammalian glue was identified in the St Margaret samples. 相似文献
