The ultrasonic signals in long bones contain multiple guided modes which are mutual superposed.The velocities of guided waves in long bones are very sensitive to cortical thickness (CTh).In this paper,Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT) was proposed to analyze multi-mode guided waves,which can decompose superposed waves into many independent modes.Then the group velocity of each mode was obtained at corresponding frequency,which was compared with the results of short time Fourier transform(STFT).The CTh was also obtained by comparing with the theoretical calculation.The results showed that the experimental determined thickness was in agreement with the actual CTh,indicating that measuring the velocity of the guided mode can be used to estimate the CTh.The HHT is an effective method to identify multimode guided waves. 相似文献

Magnetite (Fe3O4) is a mixed valent system where electronic conductivity occurs on the B site (octahedral) iron sublattice of the spinel structure. Below T(V)=123 K, a metal-insulator transition occurs which is argued to arise from the charge ordering of 2+ and 3+ iron valences on the B sites (Verwey transition). Inelastic neutron scattering measurements show that optical spin waves propagating on the B site sublattice (approximately 80 meV) are shifted upwards in energy above T_{V} due to the occurrence of B-B ferromagnetic double exchange in the mixed valent phase. The double exchange interaction affects only spin waves of Delta(5) symmetry, not all modes, indicating that valence fluctuations are slow and the double exchange is constrained by short-range electron correlations above T(V). 相似文献

We present here the final results of experiments searching for neutrino oscillations, carried out by the CHARM Collaboration. The data — taking took place in 1983. The first experiment was performed by exposing two detectors simultaneously to the CERN PS low energyv µ beam. In the second experiment the full CHARM detector was exposed to the wide-band horn-focusedv µ beam of the CERN SPS. Complete details of the experiments and data reduction are presented. No statistically significant signals for neutrino oscillations were observed. Our 90% CL limits in the appearance experiment (v µ→v e ) exclude Δm 2≧0.19 eV2 for complete mixing (sin22θ=1), and sin22θ≧0.008 for the region Δm 2≧30 eV2. These results, and the limits observed for (v µ→v x ) (disappearance of (v µ), are in agreement with those of most other experiments but exclude part of the region previously reported as a possible indication ofv µ→v e oscillations. 相似文献

We present a detailed study of the decays ?′ → π+π?? and ?′ → π0π0?, where the ? decays subsequently to e+e? or μ+μ?. The results are obtained from a sample of 146 000 ?′ decays observed with the CUSB detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring. We derive branching fractions of (18.9 ± 2.6)% for ?′ → π′π?? and (10.3 ± 2.3)% for ?′ → π0π0?, and determined partial widths for these decays. Invariant mass and angular distributions of both the π+π? and π0π0 systems are presented. We also set a limit on the branching fraction for ?′ → η? of less than 0.2% at the 90% confidence level. 相似文献
