Five different imidazolium‐based ionic liquids (ILs) were incorporated into a metal–organic framework (MOF), MIL‐53(Al), to investigate the effect of IL incorporation on the CO2 separation performance of MIL‐53(Al). CO2, CH4, and N2 adsorption isotherms of the IL/MIL‐53(Al) composites and pristine MIL‐53(Al) were measured to evaluate the effect of the ILs on the CO2/CH4 and CO2/N2 selectivities of the MOF. Of the composite materials that were tested, [BMIM][PF6]/MIL‐53(Al) exhibited the largest increase in CO2/CH4 selectivity, 2.8‐times higher than that of pristine MIL‐53(Al), whilst [BMIM][MeSO4]/MIL‐53(Al) exhibited the largest increase in CO2/N2 selectivity, 3.3‐times higher than that of pristine MIL‐53(Al). A comparison of the CO2 separation potentials of the IL/MOF composites showed that the [BMIM][BF4]‐ and [BMIM][PF6]‐incorporated MIL‐53(Al) composites both showed enhanced CO2/N2 and CO2/CH4 selectivities at pressures of 1–5 bar compared to composites of CuBTC and ZIF‐8 with the same ILs. These results demonstrate that MIL‐53(Al) is a versatile platform for IL/MOF composites and could help to guide the rational design of new composites for target gas‐separation applications.  相似文献

In this article, the study on the swelling and thermal behaviors of a new series of bile acid‐based polymeric hydrogels is reported. For this purpose, in the first step, the reduction of carboxyl acid groups of some common bile acids including cholic acid (CA), chenodeoxy cholic acid (CDCA), and lithocholic acid (LCA) to the corresponding alcohols by lithium aluminum hydride (LiAlH4) in THF solution is performed. Then, hydroxyl functionalities of the obtained products are reacted with the acryloyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine (TEA). Finally, the cross‐linking reactions between acryloyl functionalized bile acids and methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) monomethacrylate (MPEGMA) are conducted by free‐radical photo‐polymerization technique at λ = 350 nm in the presence of 2,2‐Dimethoxy‐2‐phenylacetophenone (DMPA) as an initiator to achieve the desired bile acid‐based polymeric hydrogels. The resulting hydrogels and their intermediates are characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) and Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H‐NMR) spectroscopies. The swelling and thermal behavior of the obtained hydrogels indicates that the hydrogel starting from cholic acid is more swellable and has enhanced thermostability compared to others. Thus, the results of this study offer beneficial insights to researchers working in particularly bio‐medical industry.  相似文献

This work investigates the joint effects of jet engine exhaust-induced turbulence and atmospheric turbulence on the propagation of a partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model Array (GSMA) vortex beam. Using the two-process propagation method, analytical formulae are derived for the cross-spectral density, spectral density, degree of coherence, and beam width of the considered beam. The results show that the considered beam takes different shapes; when the spatial coherence is large, the spectral density of the GSMA vortex beam takes an elliptical shape, whereas when the spatial coherence is smaller, the spectral density remains a Gaussian shape. The evolution profile of the degree of coherence weakens gradually when the propagation distance, topological charge, and turbulence strength increase. Moreover, the profile of the degree of coherence takes the Gaussian profile when the propagation distance is longer or turbulence atmospheric is stronger. Furthermore, the results reveal that the corresponding beam spreads faster with a larger propagation distance, lower spatial coherence, and high-strength turbulence. This study also concludes from the results that the beam is affected more when its propagation is near the jet engine exhaust, which means that this latter has a significant impact.  相似文献

The root radius of a polynomial is the maximum of the moduli of its roots (zeros). We consider the following optimization problem: minimize the root radius over monic polynomials of degree n, with either real or complex coefficients, subject to k linearly independent affine constraints on the coefficients. We show that there always exists an optimal polynomial with at most \(k-1\) inactive roots, that is, roots whose moduli are strictly less than the optimal root radius. Ternary mixtures of PVA/Citric acid (CA)/water and PVA/Succinic acid (SA)/water were gamma irradiated to various doses in air at ambient temperature. Gelation % vs dose curves were constructed and swelling behavior of gels with maximum conversions was studied. In maximum gelled systems 80% of CA used in the feed composition was retained in the gel structure whereas this was only 20% for SA. The volume of swelling of ionic PVA gels increased from 230% to 530% for PVA/CA systems when pH was increased from 2.6 to 7.5. Less significant increase in swelling was observed for PVA/SA gels, from 250% to 330% in the same pH interval. The incorporation of SA and CA groups onto PVA networks improved remarkably the affinity of these structures for Co2+ and Ni2+ ion uptake.  相似文献

The influence of some amino acids—alanine, glycine, valine, glutamine, histidine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan—on the swelling behavior of acrylamide (AAm) hydrogel prepared by γ-radiation was investigated. Swelling experiments of AAm hydrogel were made in the universal buffer solutions and the amino acid solutions at certain pHs at 37°C. These selected pH values were pK1, pK2 and isoelectric point (pI) values such as ionization of α-carboxyl groups, ionization of α-amino groups, and the pIs of the amino acids, respectively. The swelling of AAm hydrogel increased when pH values of solutions were increased. The value of equilibrium swelling of AAm hydrogel in the solution of universal buffer was 880% at pH 10.0, whereas it was 670% at pH 2.0. The values of equilibrium swelling of AAm hydrogel in amino acid solutions were between 830 and 965% at pH 10.0, whereas they were between 635 and 775% at pH 2.0. The rate constant of swelling, initial swelling rate, theoretical maximum swelling, diffusional exponent, network parameter, and diffusion coefficient were calculated by swelling kinetics. Diffusions of the amino acid solutions into the hydrogel were generally found as non-Fickian in character. The diffusion coefficients of the hydrogel were between 0.91 × 10−6 and 2.41 × 10−6 cm2/s.  相似文献

The astrophysical applicability of the electrically and magnetically charged black hole solutions obtained in a model of nonlinear electrodynamics proposed by Kruglov is investigated. Theoretical calculations of the bending angles and gravitational redshifts from the theory of general relativity are studied numerically by using the stellar data of charged compact objects and a hypothetical quark star model. Calculations have revealed that although the theoretical outcomes differ from the linear Maxwell case, the plotted bending angles coincide with the linear case and it becomes hard to identify the effect of nonlinearity. However, the calculation of the redshift has shown that while the increase in the electric field leads to a decrease in the gravitational redshift,the presence of the strong magnetic field contributes to the gravitational redshift in an increasing manner.  相似文献
