A "stable" electrohydrodynamic jet is used to print arrays of colloidal suspensions on hydrophobic surfaces. Printed lines break up into sessile drops, and capillary forces guide the self-assembly of colloidal particles during the evaporation of the liquid, resulting in arrays of colloidal single particles or particle clusters depending on the concentration of the suspensions. The clusters differ from those formed in the absence of a substrate when the number of particles is larger than three. Multiple structures are found for the same number of particles.  相似文献

The effect of 60Co (γ-ray) irradiation on the electrical and dielectric properties of Au/Polyvinyl Alcohol (Ni,Zn-doped)/n-Si Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) has been investigated by using capacitance-voltage (C-V) and conductance-voltage (G/ω-V) measurements at room temperature and 1 MHz. The real capacitance and conductance values were obtained by eliminating series resistance (Rs) effect in the measured capacitance (Cm) and conductance (Gm) values through correction. The experimental values of the dielectric constant ′), dielectric loss ″), loss tangent (tanδ), ac electrical conductivity (σac) and the real (M′) and imaginary (M″) parts of the electrical modulus were found to be strong functions of radiation and applied bias voltage, especially in the depletion and accumulation regions. In addition, the density distribution of interface states (Nss) profile was obtained using the high-low frequency capacitance (CHF-CLF) method for before and after irradiation. The Nss-V plots give two distinct peaks for both cases, namely before radiation and after radiation, and those peaks correspond to two different localized interface states regions at M/S interface. The changes in the dielectric properties in the depletion and accumulation regions stem especially from the restructuring and reordering of the charges at interface states and surface polarization whereas those in the accumulation region are caused by series resistance effect.  相似文献

Abstract  

Adsorption of an octacationic tetrapyrrole, octakis(2-trimethylammoniumethylsulfanyl)porphyrazinatocobalt octaiodide (QCoPz), from aqueous solutions on to negatively charged bentonite was investigated. Effects of temperature, dye concentration, solid concentration, and contact time on adsorption were determined. Zeta potential and ion-release measurements were also used as supporting experiments. Experimental data were analyzed using four adsorption kinetic models; a pseudo second-order kinetic model resulted in better correlation with experimental results than the others. Experimental equilibrium data were analyzed by non-linear regression using five adsorption isotherm models with two, three, or four terms. Free energies, enthalpies, and entropies for the adsorption process were determined. The results indicated that adsorption of QCoPz on bentonite was exothermic and spontaneous in nature. FT-IR spectroscopy of the composite and its desorptive behavior were also investigated to identify the mechanism of adsorption. The novel QCoPz–bentonite composites obtained are likely to be used in “green chemistry” and in a wide range of optical and/or catalytic applications, especially those crucially important in the petroleum and pulp/paper industries for waste water cleaning (destruction of mercaptans, sulfides, phenol, and halogenated aromatics, etc.) and removal of bad odor.  相似文献

Eight new macrocyclic complexes were synthesized by template reaction of 1,4-bis(3-aminopropoxy)butane with metal nitrate and 1,3-bis(2-forrnylphenyl)propane or 1,4-bis(2-formylphenyl)butane and their structures were proposed on the basis of elemental analysis, FTIR, UV-vis, molar conductivity measurements, 1H NMR and mass spectra. The metals to ligand molar ratios of the complexes were found to be 1:1. The complexes are 1:2 electrolytes for Pb(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes and 1:3 electrolytes for La(lIl) as shown by their molar conductivities (Am) in DMSO at 10-3 tool L-l. Due to the existence of free ions in these complexes,such complexes are electrically conductive. The configurations of La(Ⅲ) and Pb(U) were proposed to probably octahedral and Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes were proposed to probably tetrahedral.  相似文献

The magnetic behaviors of a mixed spin-1 and spin-2 Heisenberg ferrimagnetic system on a square lattice are studied by using the double-time temperature-dependent Green’s function technique. In order to decouple the higher order Green’s functions, Anderson and Callen’s decoupling and random phase approximations have been used. The system is described in the presence of an external magnetic field. We illustrate the influences of the nearest- and next-nearest-neighbor interactions and the single-ion anisotropies with an external magnetic field on compensation and critical temperatures. We found that the system that includes only the nearest-neighbor interaction and the single-ion anisotropies does not have a compensation temperature. When the next-nearest-neighbor interactions exceed a certain minimum value, a compensation temperature begins to appear. For some negative values of single-ion anisotropies, there exist first-order phase transitions. The system has first-order phase transition properties when it is under the influence of an external magnetic field.  相似文献

Adsorption of carbon dioxide (CO2), as well as many other kinds of small molecules, is of importance for industrial and sensing applications. Metal-organic framework (MOF)-based adsorbents are spotlighted for such applications. An essential for MOF adsorbent application is a simple and easy fabrication process, preferably from a cheap, sustainable, and environmentally friendly ligand. Herein, we fabricated a novel structural, thermally stable MOF with fluorescence properties, namely Zn [5-oxo-2,3-dihydro-5H-[1,3]-thiazolo [3,2-a]pyridine-3,7-dicarboxylic acid (TPDCA)] • dimethylformamide (DMF) •0.25 H2O (coded as QUF-001 MOF), in solvothermal conditions by using zinc nitrate as a source of metal ion and TPDCA as a ligand easy accessible from citric acid and cysteine. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and microscopic examination revealed the two-dimensional character of the formed MOF. Upon treatment of QUF-001 with organic solvents (such as methanol, isopropanol, chloroform, dimethylformamide, tetrahydrofuran, hexane), interactions were observed and changes in fluorescence maxima as well as in the powder diffraction patterns were noticed, indicating the inclusion and intercalation of the solvents into the interlamellar space of the crystal structure of QUF-001. Furthermore, CO2 and CH4 molecule sorption properties for QUF-001 reached up to 1.6 mmol/g and 8.1 mmol/g, respectively, at 298 K and a pressure of 50 bars.  相似文献

Strigolactones (SLs) are signaling molecules involved in plant development and governing interactions with soil microorganisms in the rhizosphere as well as the germination of parasitic weeds. Developing their use in Crop Protection is a promising approach to a sustainable agriculture by mitigating biotic and abiotic stresses. Recently, a new class of lactam analogues of SL has emerged, namely strigolactams, displaying outstanding potency to induce the germination of parasitic weed O. cumana as well as enhanced chemical and soil stability. Herein, we describe the stereoselective synthesis of GR24 and GR18 lactams harnessing the chemistry of chiral keteniminium (KI) salts, in particular the unprecedented reactivity of chloro-substituted KI, supported by DFT calculations. We disclose subsequently the biological activity on corn of the 32 stereopure strigolactams prepared, highlighting the crucial influence of stereochemistry and lactam substitution, rationalized by docking analyses. Finally, we performed stability studies in soil, which reveal that stereoisomers display very different half-lives, reflecting the significant impact of stereochemistry on degradation kinetics.  相似文献
