DETERMINATION OF EFFICIENT RANGE OF TARGET LEVELS IN MULTIPLE OBJECTIVE PLANNING

This paper describes a nonlinear programming model combined with a binary search technique that systematically searches for the minimum value of a given objective within the nondominated solution set. The procedure provides a way of determining the range of efficient target levels for any multiobjective planning problem using information contained in the pay-off table. The method is illustrated using a numerical example.     

Elude de la réaction du β-aminocrotonitrile et du α-formyl phénylacétonitrile avec l'hydrazine: Synthèse d'amino-7 pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines

The three compounds C₈ H₁₀N₄ which arise from reaction of hydrazine and β-aminocrotonitrile have been identified: the formation of anazine, a 3(5)-amino 5(3)-methyl pyrazole derivative and a 7-amino pyrazolo [1,5-a] pyrimidine has been demonstrated. The relationships among these compounds and with the methyl-aminopyrazole have been studied.     

Histamine Molecule and Dianion Oxalate are Efficient Blocks for Building 2D Supramolecular Networks

Abstract  

One salt and two Cu(II) complexes (H₂hsm)(ox), 1, [Cu(hsm)(ox)], 2, and [Cu(hsm)(ox)H₂O], 3, have been synthesized and X-ray characterized (hsm is histamine and ox²⁻ is the oxalate dianion). Starting from the prochiral tetracoordinated complex 2, pentacoordinated complex 3 crystallizes as a racemic mixture of the enantiomeric Δ and Λ isomers, in space group P2₁/c. In all cases, the side chain of the hsm group is gauche, allowing the formation of strong hydrogen bonds in the salt 1, and to chelate the metal center in complexes 2 and 3. The combination hsm/ox seems to favor the formation of 2D supramolecular structures (planes or wavy planes), through efficient networks of N–H···O hydrogen bonds. On the topological theory of self-dual connections over noncompact Riemann surfaces

A topological action for self-dual connections over noncompact Riemann surfaces is proposed. TheJ formulation and the associated linear system are obtained. A new connection is constructed, depending on a Kac-Moody parameter such that its flatness condition is theJ-equation associated to the self-dual problem. The algebra of infinitesimal Bäcklund transformations depending on this Kac-Moody parameter is constructed.     

Mechanical alloying of Hf and Fe powders

Pure crystalline Hf and Fe powders were mixed and milled under an argon atmosphere. The evolution of the system with milling time was followed with Mössbauer effect spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The results indicate that in the first stages an amorphous Fe-rich alloy was gradually formed together with a solid solution of Hf in Fe beyond the solubility limit.
